"Long ago, at the end of second age, the great elven smiths of Eregion forged many rings.
Everyone was happy.
But Sauron learned of their craft, and decided to impose both tariffs and shipping duties on shiny things in case they tried to sell them to other countries...
… and so the world has changed.
Now to the serious bit.
EU Customers:
Thanks to "brexit", and the EU's subsequent removal of their "de minimus" threshold for duties and imposition of handling charges, shipping to the EU has taken on a new dimension. It's pretty complicated; there's a handling charge per parcel, a duty charge per type of item, and another handling charge from the Royal Mail for having to deal with it all. Each EU state seems to be dealing with it in their own way; some require the duties paid before we ship, some are upon receipt of parcel.
As regards ordering, there's two ways you can go ahead - either add items to the cart and checkout as normal, we can then work out the duty for you and send a paypal invoice - or you can contact us first before ordering to find out what the duty will be.
One more thing we'll need is your phone number, as most EU states now require one before we ship.
US Customers:
The 10% tariff rate remains in place; but since late July items shipped by Royal Mail are now subject to standard US import duties on top of that. We're working hard on integrating this into the website, which should be up and running early this week. If you wanted a quote first before that happens, just let us know what items you're interested in and we can let you know :)
