December the 28th

Heart Failure ?

Pah!

That means nothing to Muppy LOL!!!!

I don't understand it, maybe the vets are all doom and gloom, but they were right :>) She has recovered, don't get me wrong she's not doing much, but she's still with us and that's the main thing!

I could not understand how they would send a cat home suffering from heart failure, but there you go!!  But she's eating a bit, drinking a lot, and just sleeping, and generally being a cutie !

More bad news, we heard for the puppy lady this morning and she doesn't have any of the kennel club papers and registrations so we can't pick Merlin up yet. Probably for the best, but still disappointing :>(

Michael has renamed this Christmas - Shitmas 2009 LOL!!!!

Have fun and enjoy this lovely time of the year......a bit of sarcasm there :>)

December 27th

Another muplet update

She's had some tuna and some water, to be honest I'm amazed she's still alive, but she's sleeping on her cushion surrounded by anything she could need.

Talk about a fighter, she's bloody amazing!

Fingers crossed for tonight :>)

muppy update,

She's back home now but is in heart failure, and we don't know if she'll recover or not :>(  Lots of tears, and worry, but she's back home with us now, under the Christmas tree, hopefully getting some sleep.

They said as she's such a tough little thing, and she's had funny turns before, but none this bad. She might recover, but she's still not eaten or drunk anything and she still can't use her front leg. But maybe, just maybe a bit of extra rest will make her better.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hope you all had a good old roister, and that today can be a day of peace and digestion.

I'm afraid we're not having a good one at all :>(

Poor old Mup was ill last night and this morning she was unable to walk. We have taken her to the emergency vets again and they have told us that this is probably the end :>(

Her little heart has turned to muscle and she can no longer keep her body going. Her heart was so fast, they couldn't measure the heart rate, but they're going to try a beater blocker and see what happens.

We've left her at the vets and they'll ring us to let us know how she goes.

She said we're going to have to make a very difficult decision, so I think we all know what that means. But it's for Muppy's sake not ours. We have Merlin coming home on Tuesday and I was looking forward to Mup and him meeting, but looks like that might not happen now.

I'll let you know what happens later.

What a shitty thing to happen :>(

Christmas Eve

Let's all sing ....

It's Christmas Eve bells will ring

Through the town we gather to sing

Christmas time has begun

Peace and love to everyone :>)

Good old Blackmore's Night!

I hope you're all ready, and have all made it safely to where you want to be, despite the awful ice. We've had a lot of accidents down here :>(  It's so sad at any time, but it does seem worse at Christmas.

We're loving our time off, but have been keeping ourselves busy :>)

We made a special lard, cheese, tropical mix, and bird seed cakes for the birds and the badgers . The badgers ate all of theirs last night LOL!!!!

Today we're making a holly squash LOL!!!!  That'll be a butter nut squash, carved like a pumpkin would be, and then lit inside :>)  If it works I'll take a pic, if it doesn't I'll put it in the bin hehehehehehe!!!!!

Anywayz, enough of my nonsense!

Have a very Happy Christmas :>) Eat, drink and be scary LOL!!!!

Loads of Love

19th December

Nearly there :>)

Only 2 more days left and then we're done!

I have loads of wrapping to do yet, and  I have to admit I haven't even posted one card, but I'll do that on Monday before we go :>)

It's the Moonmaiden works "do" on Monday LOL!  And no, there will be no shenanigans of any kind, just 2 old farts walking on a moor LOL!!!

But I kinda like that.

I'm sooo looking forward to a few days of nothing, we've worked so hard this year, it's been a really good year for orders. Next year more new stuff coming your way of course, there's loads of ideas rolling around in my head, but I haven't had time to do anything about them as it's been so busy!

The Merlin count down continues, it's a really good time to get him actually as we'll have loads of time to spend on him, and then gradually getting him used to the cats and bunny :>)  He's having his check up at the vets on the 23rd so he should get a clean bill of health.

We're going to use the bunnies play pen - she said she didn't mind - for night time, and then we'll know he's safe LOL! Muppy might be ill, but she's got a lethal left clout with claws LOL!

I'd best get back to work, all weekend again, but it's worth it to finish early and anyway, we have to, because of the delivery time. No one should miss out on their Christmas order :>)

A big massive thanks to Rachel and her family for the fantastic surprise yesterday!

Flowers with wine and chocolates delivered with a lovely note!

The flowers are beautiful and the chocs are gorgeous, we're saving the wine for Christmas day :>)

So Thank you muchly :>)

Have a good weekend, and if you wish to order anything you'd better do it today as on Monday we stop and don't start again till the 4th January;>)

Orders carry on as usual but of course you'll have to wait longer as we will be roistering over the festive period LOL!

Keep warm and enjoy the run up to Christmas ;>) The BEST time of the year if you ask me!

Lots of love

Sarah

16th December

Hey there everyone :>)

The last blast as they say!

Only 6 more days of work Hurrahhhhhh!

But it's sooooooo busy, lots of work to do, and not much time. I suppose we could work on the 22nd if we HAD too, but lets hope not LOL!

In the mean time here's our beautiful little puppy Merlin :>)

And he's coming home on the 29th of this month :>) SOOOOOOOOOOO exciting!!!!!!

Poor old Mum has been poorly, so that's made everything a bit more hectic, we've kept a closer eye on her but this morning she's stopped being sick and is just exhausted, so hopefully a few quiet days will put her on the mend :>)

Poor old Mum, not nice, but hopefully by next week she'll be back up to arguing again LOL!!!!

I must get on with the orders,  it'll be a late night working session,  but I do like to get everything out before Christmas, and start the new year all fresh LOL!!!!

Have a great week, and I'll update you with any pup news!

lots of Love

10th December

Hi Y'all :>)

So busy!  But it's Ok, not long till we finish now.

We're pretty excited here........and I do hope I'm not jinxing it........but Sunday morning we have an appointment to meet the new member of our family!

No, not another cat or a bunny... a little golden retriever puppy :>)

SO EXCITING!!!!!! LOL!

And no, we're not getting him for Christmas, the breeder doesn't do that, so we'll be getting him in the new year. If we pass the interview  LOL!!!!

We've done loads of research and a golden retriever is the best breed to fit in with our cats. The northern innuit and collie were not suitable :>(  We've also had to wait until we knew what was happening with Muppy, but she's as good as she's going to get now, and taking her tablets, so we reckon the time is right :>)

Thanks for all the votes, please keep voting, every one counts :>)

We're working every day now up till the 21st, we're hoping to finish on the winter solstice, have a few days off before all the visiting LOL!

So if you could get all your orders in by the 18th of December that would be great :>)

I'll let you know how it goes on Sunday, I hope we pass, and I hope the puppy likes us :>)

Have a great weekend :>)

Lots of Love

7th December

Hellooooo!  Being the end of the year it's awards time... and since the Cutest Bunny of 2009 Award is already pretty much guaranteed to go to Lunar, we mere humans at Moonmaiden have gotten a little jealous.. :o(

But you can help to cheer us up, brave reader... by voting in the AltFashion end of year awards for alternative fashion designers, companies, and shops.

Of course we wouldn't be so bold as to directly ask you to vote for us, we're just hinting... hint hint hint hinty hinty hint hint.... ;o)

Here's the link to the poll:

http://www.altfashion.co.uk/09poll.html

Go vote or we'll set the bunny on you...

Michael

6th December

Well it's been another massive day here at Moonmaiden towers! :>)

Our outside Christmas lights were switched on by a VERY special guest of honour! No other than LUNAR herself!!!!

I did try to find her a tiara but I can't get one that fits her :>)

So we made do with a green ribbon :>)

Here's the preview pics, I thought I'd let you see them before all the gossip mags start fighting to have the rights to them LOL!

Here she is.......

I have spent hours wrapping presents this afternoon, all Mums ones, and now I am too lazy to wrap any of my own :>)  But at least she's all finished now, I only have to do her cards, and that shouldn't take too long at all.

We went out to the Meadery last night, very yummy, and a nice atmosphere :>)

Not too busy and not too quiet!

It's a sad day for super pocus though, Tracey has decided to leave her pet behind due to other commitments :>( Farewell Matilda  we shall miss you :>) I tell you we are super pocus crazy in this house LOL!!!!!!!

Loads of work for next week, but only a few weeks till Christmas so I'm sure it will fly by!

Oh and did I tell you I had someone on Facebook asking me if I wanted to do a makeover programme!

Now call me cynical, she said she loved my look, yet was asking me  to have a make over LOL!!!!!  Bit of a back handed complement if you ask me!!

Can you imagine ?

How old are you ? 41!!!!!!! Your hairs too long, too much eyeliner, too much black and too much silly foot wear!!!! And I bet PVC leggings would be waaaaaaaay out of the question LOL!

So I think I'll stay as I am, unconventional it may be, but it keeps me happy LOL!!!!!!!!!

Have a good week,

Lots of Love

Sarah

2nd December

Hi ya'll :>)

Just doing my little bit to help.....

ITV are currently looking for a Gothic wedding to appear on Living’s hit show ‘Four Weddings’ and I was wondering if it’s possible for you to circulate this email to the any of your customers who you how are getting married in December 2009 or January/February 2010 or possible place a flyer on your website somewhere (attached)?

Living’s hit show ‘Four Weddings’ (the best average audience performance of an original series on Living, ever) is back for a second series and are looking for more brides-to-be and any civil partnerships to attend and score each other’s weddings. Each wedding will be scored on the venue, the food, the overall presentation and of course, the dress. The bride with the best day will win the luxury honeymoon of their dreams!

We are interested in all weddings whether they are civil partnerships, themed weddings, big or small weddings or have a high or low budget. The last series saw us feature a wedding in cave, at London Zoo and a medieval wedding.

If you are able to post something on your site or even spread the word that would be fantastic and those interested in applying can contact my colleague zuelika.brown@itv.com or ring her on 0207 157 3747.

Thank you in advance for your help, and if you know of anyone yourself who might be interested, tell them to give us a call.

I watched the entire series this year and it is an excellent programme :>) You might have to be a bit brave though LOL!

Back to my machines.........

love Sarah

30th November

Me again!

To cheer us all up on a miserable Monday morn, have a look at this :>)

Number for 1 Christmas ? I think so LOL!

Let's beat that Xfactor nonsense!

Urgh!

I'm cheesed off this morning.

Not because it's Monday, I like working, and not because it's real busy! I like being busy!

It's the old B up t'road again! She has a blood test today no biggie, she has them quite a lot, and since the carers have taken over, they also very kindly, take her to her appointments. I mean they charge for their time, but it's worth every penny!

So all last night and this morning, The ol' B has been ringing and ringing, shouting obscenities down the phone and then hanging up. It was sorta funny the first few times, but it's just getting bloody annoying now!   All because I'm not going with her to the doctors! It's written on her board and I suppose every time she sees it, she goes off on one.

I could just let it ring, but she rings for ages, so it's quicker to get the abuse and then let her hang up LOL!!!!

What a life hey ?

And I'm getting a bit suspicious of those celebs in that there jungle!

Have you seen Sabrina and Kims nails ?  Not one chipped or broken .......... And not one bit of dirt under Sabrina's nails !  Hmmmmmmmmmm looks a bit suss if you ask me.  And that trial with Jo and drippy  last night, that didn't seem very fair either if you ask me. Some of  it is beginning to look staged, so I'm not so sure.

Love Ant and Dec though, but I miss Katie in there, and I think they should have replaced her by someone equally as big. It's certainly lacking something!

Have a good week,

Lots of Love

Sarah

29th November

WELL!!!!

We are still in shock. Yes we've gone on about it on facebook, but my god, that True Horror Dracula, was THE most scary thing I have EVER seen!

We've seen oodles of horror films, but maybe because this was supposed to have been factual, that's what made it sooooooo disturbing.

I'd saved it up for last night, as we were having our spook-Yule,  and I have watched and read loads about Vlad the Impaler, and have been fascinated by the man. But the special effects were almost too much! The guy playing Vlad did a very good job, and the fear and gore of the whole thing was unbelievable.

Mind you he had a lovely singing voice, whilst he was scaring the bejesus out of the 3 Monks.

He asked them what will happen to me when I die........NO!! Not that question they thought!

The young one  not surprisingly was too scared to reply.

So the 2nd Monk replied for him- he would undoubtedly be recognised by the Lord above as the true saviour of his country and would go to heaven.

NAH! He didn't like that so off he went to be impaled.

He asked again, and this time the 3rd Monk replies, and told him that he was going to hell to burn for all eternity, and Vlad didn't like that answer much either, even if he thought it was the truth!

So he was done away with as well, but it was quicker this time YUK!

The young Monk escaped, but we don't know what answer he gave!

And that was just the end bit, all the bits before were so bloody scary I couldn't eat my tacos LOL!!!!

We were going to watch the Werewolf one as well, but I was in shock after the Vlad one, so I'll watch that one tonight.

Tomorrow is the real Frankenstein so watch it if you get a chance, it's a truely remarkable series.

True Horror 10 pm Mondays on the History channel.

We did a lot of Christmas shopping as  well, and put our pretty little tree up :>)

Ti's looking lovely :>)

Hope you all had a good weekend :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

27th November

Facebooky forum reminder!  Right then, we've made our lovely new Facebook forum, and we'd like to welcome you all to it!  There's a virtual glass of champagne waiting for you!

Of course you do have to be Facebooky registered to use it, and I do know that a few of you are reluctant to do so - so was I at first, but it IS actually quite fun, and a lot more interactive than our humble 'ol forum was!  Plus you can play Superpocus with us ;o) hehehehehe...

The link, of course, is here!

Michael

26th November

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Not long to go now :>)

I am soooooo excited, time off, food, booze, pressies :>)

Just a load of work to do first!

My new addiction has got worse I'm afraid, we have Farmville AND Super Pocus LOL!   Michael gets so upset when people don't look after their pets properly, so if you get emails form him telling you to look after them, please don't worry. He's not stalking you, he's just a big softy and doesn't like to see them cry LOL!

I think we can have this weekend off as well, which is good, as no doubt the following weeks will be crazy busy. So we're off out Christmas shopping, and for lunch :>)

And what about that Katie Price hey ? She's a shocker !  Dumping Alex on TV LOL! Harsh some would say, but then if she told him not to sell stories, he shouldn't have sold stories!

I say you go Pricey ! :>)

I am soooo going to be buying all the sad gossip mags next week LOL!!! YES! I am that sad LOL!

Best get back to work now, I hope you're all having a good week, and looking forward to the approaching yule tide nosh up!

Lots of Love

Sarah

PS the festive spiders will be with us soon :>)

23rd November

Hey! Only 4 weeks left of work!!!! Yayyyyy!!!!!

We intend to finish earlier this year as last year we worked right up till Christmas Eve so we're hoping to finish on the 21st :>)

Had a good weekend, and a bit of a strange one LOL! You never know what's going to happen next do you ?

But forgetting that, we had a fabulous curry on Saturday night the best one ever, it was delicious, and we'll definitely be going back !

Pam and Mark helped us decorate Mums Christmas tree in the afternoon, and she was sooooo excited ! Yesterday we all went out for lunch again! LOL! So a good weekend had :>)

I keep forgetting to mention how brave Michael was a couple of weeks ago. He actually flew in a plane which he flew himself!  So brave indeed, and he loved it. I think he's going to save up for an hour long lesson next time :>)

I've been watching I'm a celeb, and I think Katie Price did brilliantly. We were watching last night and I knew she'd left when Michelle said "I think you'll find she's no longer there babe" LOL!

Nice one!   I don't blame her for leaving early, poor girl would still have been nominated till they decided to kick her out.................. and it was getting VERY bitchy!

What is that Kim like ?

EH ?

So, it's all good here at Moonmaiden towers :>)

I think we'll put our tree up on Saturday and I'm planning a spooky night :>) A yule spook theme LOL! I might even look for some pumpkins, cheer the place up a bit!

I hope you all have a good week.

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

16th November

Well here we go again! The run up to Christmas,
 Fantastic!!!

I bravely did all Mums shopping on Saturday, it was not
easy! I knew it wouldn't be, but I knew I had to do it. Some
times you just have to take a deep breath, close your eyes,
and put your head into the dragons mouth LOL!!!!

The insults I got were.....

Why don't you just shut up.

Piss off.

I'm going home.

How dare you!

How much ?

I'm not getting them a present!

Ten Pounds???????!!!!!!!

Why don't you just drop dead!

I wish I was dead!

What shopping?

Who's shopping?

What ? Christmas, I'm not bloody sending anyone presents
 this year!!!

Anywayz, it took me about an hour and a half, all online of
course! Can you imagine how it would be if I'd taken her
 into Truro ????

I shudder to think!!!

But I did it :>)

I have all her wrapping paper and cards and crackers and
such like, so I'm pretty much organised for mums
 Christmas!

I shall start my own later on!

I take back what I said about M+S they don't have as many
3 for 2's but they do have a lot of gifts with discounts on so
that works out about the same ;>)

I worked all day yesterday, but I have a new addiction LOL!

After the stresses of Saturday I thought, I'll have my own
face book, and start that farm game :>) So I have, and it's
 real fun!

I can't say it makes up totally for not getting that house in
Delabole with 3 acres, but it does make me feel sort a
 better LOL!!!!!

So if your fancying a challenge, come join me down the
 farm me 'earties LOL!

Is that pirate or Cornish LOL!!!!

So a busy busy week of course, and then at the weekend
Pam and Mark are down, and we're all.............. very
bravely again I may add......going to attempt to decorate
 Mums Christmas tree!

I have put the local A+E on red alert so they'll be ready :>)

Have a good week,

Lots and lots and lots of Love

Sarah

9th November
Oh well, that's that over with, and back to the normal hum
 drum of work :>(
And the beast that lives up the road.
I tell you she is a wicked woman, and today managed to
make some one cry. Not me for a change, just some
innocent trying to do her job. I reckon if Most Haunted
wanted to see the 8 faces of Evil, they should have gone
 to see her first!

No doubt she'll be like it all over the Christmas period,
every year, she plays up, and I'm sure this year will be no
 different!
Talking of Christmas, I started my shopping yesterday and
I looked around at all the 3 for 2 offers, and most of them
 are utter crap LOL!

I mean really really bad! Some crappy little bath things
wrapped in purple glitter and stuck in a pointy plastic
container, at a ridiculous price, and a gift that no one
 would really want!
M+S have really cut back this year, and they're the same
as last year only more expensive :>( So I'm going to have
to try and come up with some new ideas!

We had a fab little holiday, the cottage was very snug and
we got a bit carried away with the fire and ended up
 roasting LOL!

We also had a fantastic thunder storm, lasted for ages, it
got stuck in the valley and was really loud :>)

We popped into Boscastle, most of the shops were shut
which was a shame, but had a very tasty lunch at the
 Wellington Hotel.

Now we're back home and ready for the Christmas
onslaught, and being healthy for a change LOL!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and enjoyed the Hellfire
 festival and the Witchfest :>)

Lots of Love
Sarah

6th November

Hi ya'll! :>)

We're off on our hols!

Oh yes! Not to far of course, a little cottage in the middle of no where, snuggled up by a real fire, and relaxing!

Yes we deserve it LOL!

Back on Sunday, so like I said not gone for too long LOL!

Jane and Martyn are coming tomorrow to look after things and give Muppy and Legolas their tablets, so all things being well, we'll be back on Sunday!

Thanks for all the feed back on our silly video, 'twas a spooky place!

We have put the FEDEX button back on the site again, the postie people are still playing up, I think they'll make it last till Christmas! :>(

Have a good weekend, and if you happen to be seeing FOTN this Sunday, take some pics and send them to Michael please!

We booked up this little break before we know they were playing so I think he feels like he's missing out! I said we could cancel but he didn't want  to :>)  Looks like they'll be plenty more next year though :>)

Have a good weekend

Love

SAMHAIN part II

We'll do a proper update tomorrow, but in the meantime - here's the first MOONMAIDEN VIDEO DOCUMENTARY!  ;o)

Off to watch Most Haunted, eat curry and drink beer now :o)

Michael

SAMHAIN

Hi all,

Forgot to say yesterday, that we have stopped our forum:>(  I know 'tis regrettable. but as I said before, with facebook and myspace, our little old Forum was way out of date!

But don't be too sad :>)

We have started another one on Face book so you can still have a natter there if you wish.

The forum is on our Facebook business page and we have over 300 fans already so over you goes LOL!!!!

Here be the link - you do have to join Facebook to use it of course, so if you haven't already, what more incentive do you need ;o)

Now!  Who watched Most haunted last night ?  Hmmmmmmm, I don't know what to think, it was very entertaining, but I just don't know! Was it coincidence that the member of the audience was a medic ?  But then the NHS is Britain's biggest employer so statistically the chances are higher that it might be genuine.

I hope that they are all Ok, 'cos you never know. I hope tonights will be the best one :>)

I must away now, as I am off to find a haunted forest, hopefully with no ghosts having ethereal orgies :>)

Have a fabulous day, and look out for the dead returning, they might just know about what's going on in Most Haunted (someone has to!)  LOL!!!

Love and spooky kisses,

Sarah

30th October

Helloooooooooo:>)

Well, what a couple of weeks! We have worked sooooooo hard that we now have a new slogan here at Moonmaiden Towers!

"Killing ourselves to make you look good - since 2003"

LOL!!!!

So work has finished for a couple of days thank god, and we too can celebrate Samhain :>)

We have had visitors down all week, Rachel, Lizzie, Diane and Patrick and we've all had an excellent time! It was a bit hectic with all the work as well, but it all worked out perfectly and it was fantastic to finally meet you all :>)
It is official Rachel is a star :>)

We went to the Eden Project, lots of plants and very hot in the hot house LOL! Us girls were all worried that we were going to leave with perms but we were OK LOL!
And we all went to the Jamaica Inn which was lovely as usual, and then we went for a walk to see the Hurlers, and back to Diane's for a cup of tea!

Then yesterday they came over here for the afternoon and a good time was had by all. Apologies to Patrick for the size of the pasties! Amy excelled herself LOL!!!!

Have any of you been watching Most Haunted ?
Some crazy stuff going on this year! What was all that cage electric stuff all about last night ? Mind you I am enjoying it and I think some of it may even be true ;>) A good tip though, sky-plus it first and then you can fast forward over all those ads!

Tomorrow's the big day!

I hope you all have a spooky time. We're off to see a forest where Aliester Crowley used to do his rituals! Spoooooooky indeed!

Then we're off to a place called wicca to find a cloutie tree. Oh and Michael has found out some scandal from my side of the family!

Apparently the Bolitho's used to join in with orgies and such like with the man himself!

I was shocked!!!!!

Still, it's better than no history I suppose!

So have a fabulous time, what ever you may be up to!:>)

Eat, drink and be scary as Rachel would say!

Happy Samhain!

Lots and lots lots of Love
Sarah

21st October-October Solstice LOL!!!!!

Well! Did that go quick or did that go quick!

Only managed the 4 days in the end as it's still crazy with all the orders but the 4 days that we had were fabulous :>)

I ate loads, had oodles of presents, went for walks on Moors and fell in love with a syrian hamster called Bella......But that's another story "sigh" LOL!

So thank you for all the Birthday wishes there were loads of them :>)  And I'm happy to tell you that 41 is not different from 31, or 21 come to that :>) Only no keys involved!

Seeing as our little cut off date for Halloween orders has gone some what un noticed, we are now going to be placing a FEDEX button on the site so if you wish to receive your yummy velvety order in time, that's the button to press.

If how ever you wish to leave it to fate and the royal mail, just pay the usual way.

We will be sending everything via Fedex soon, but we have to work out the costings and see what nice offers they can come up with before we do :>)

I'm afraid the time has come to say farewell to the old ways :>( It's sad but if you want to run a reliable business you have to have a reliable delivery company.

Now some blatant pimping of Michaels book :>)

You may or may not know that Michael still maintaining his quest to become the next Terry Pratchett and he's found a rather helpful site called www.youwriteon.com where you can upload samples of your work for reviews and (constructive!) criticism.  Here's how it works:

"YouWriteOn is very pleased to announce that from June 2009 the YouWriteOn Top Ten Chart writers as listed on the first of each month will be read exclusively and receive feedback from editors from Random House & Orion who publish some of the world's bestselling authors, including John Grisham, Bill Bryson & Ian Rankin.

The Top Ten is rated in order by YouWriteOn members. Join Now for your opportunity to be viewed by editors from the publishers of some of the world's bestselling authors. Most YouWriteOn Top Ten entries enter the Top Ten within 4 to 6 weeks of being uploaded."

You can see the entire first chapter of his novel there, and if you register to become a member you can post reviews.  hint hint.   Hinty hinty hinty hint. ;o>

Massively busy few weeks coming up, so much work and we have Rachel and her family coming down on Friday! It's going to be soooo exciting LOL!

Then of course Samhain and the weekend after that we've actually booked up to go away- only for 2 nights on the  Moor of course, but Muppy permitting we shall be able to go :>)

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes, off for another long day of work now... looks like it's going to be another late one!

11th October

Yayyyyyy! Only  .......5........more.....days.......of....work :>)

Then we have 5, yes, FIVE whole days off :>)   I'm sooooooo excited!

We had help on Friday again from Jane, it's just been so busy and we're trying to get as many orders finished as possible. But some naughty people won't tell us their heights and measurements! We can't make it without them.

Lots of work to do today, I forget what normal Sundays are like ;>)

Poor old Mups had a hard time of it again, We took her to the vets on Wednesday and we thought they might have to do the nasty deed, but the vet has now doubled the water tablets plus a potassium pill, and she says we'll throw everything at it, and then at least then we'll know we've tried. Poor little mite is on 7 pills a day now, and she's being soooo good :>)

We're very proud of her, as the vet told us that most puss cats don't survive the draining the water off the lungs and Mup had that done months ago, so it shows you what a fighter she is :>)

She's a lot better than she was and her breathing is now back to normal, and she's had lots of cod and salmon and tuna so she's being spoilt :>)

I hope you're all having a good weekend, don't forget orders for Halloween ideally need to be in by the 16th :>)

And hurray for Edgar Allan Poe! A proper burial at last :>) 160 years too late, but it's better than nout :>)

Now I must away, the velvet is calling :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

4th October

Morning all :>)
Yes it is the weekend, and yes, we're working all the way through it.

Good job I like being busy, but I do tend to like at least one day off a week.

So it's all a bit boring here really, we had to take poor old Mup back to the vets on Friday. We have upped her medication to has high as it can go now. It's all a bit sad, but she doesn't know what's going on and she's still purring and eating and getting lots of cuddles :>)

So it's all go here, Jane came over and helped us yesterday so thanks very much it was much needed :>)
Oh and did you see the new episode of Benidorm on Friday ? Absolutely bloody hilarious or what? They just keep getting better and better. Johnny Vegas a remote control hover craft and the banana splits!
Bloody lovely :>)

What I'm here for is to let you know the last order date for Halloween. We're working towards the 16th of October I think.

I do want some days off around the 18th, so I reckon that gives us time to make any last minute orders.

You all have a good weekend, reading all the rubbish in the gutter press LOL! They are always better on Sundays aren't they?

Off I go for another day consumed by velvetyness :>)
Lots of Love
Sarah

1st October - Sorry got the date wrong last whitter, but I have corrected my error today :>)

Anyway!

White rabbits to you all :>)

Here's one I made earlier!

Isn't she the cutest ever ?

So it went well at the bank yesterday and I now have to wait for it in writing but fingers crossed all will be fine.

I feel sort of weird about it, but at least it's been sorted at last.

Other than that, I have been working REALLY hard, and trying to think about when my next day off will be LOL!

Maybe Sunday, maybe next Sunday depending on how we do. I like being busy, but I do need to find the time to go and get some new Halloween deccies. I got one from the Range a last week, some of them are so good they can stay up all year LOL! We have a permanent massive glittery cobweb up in our window :>)

But that's just me.

I am now away to disappear under a pile of velvet!

Have a good week/weekend, we're nearly there I think!

Lots of Love

Sarah and Lunar the magic bun-chops!

29th September

Cor blimey guv'ner :>)

You guys have gone crazy!!! It was the busiest day ever here at Moonmaiden yesterday!  For orders anyway, so we've got a hell of a lot of work to do before Halloween!

I actually achieved something today ......I think I did anyway! As you know poor old Mum doesn't know what ways up or down, so when the builder finished her wall yesterday she is still refusing to pay! Which I can understand, not nice to pay for something boring like a new wall LOL!!!! But she's started to refuse to pay for her care, her shopping and just about anything that isn't direct debit!

So I was very brave and went to the bank and sorted out the power of attourney at last! I didn't want to do it at all, I think it's a very responsible job, and I'm not really that responsible, but it had to be done! I have an appointment tomorrow to officially change everything, and then our life should be a bit easier on the financial side of things, if nothing else!

I hate owing money, so keeping the carers waiting, even though it wasn't really my bill, well I felt awful! They work so hard and are so patient with her, they deserve all the money they get !

We had a good weekend, Pam and Mark came down and it was Jane and Martyn's wedding anniversary, so a good time was had :>)

I  made myself a rather lovely skirt to wear. it was a Manawyden skirt made from the cotton fabric with a jaggedy spider net at the join of the flaredy bit ! Difficult to describe but it looked fab :>) I'll put it on the site asap, as I think it's gonna be a good one!

And today is Rachel's BIG day! No, not her birthday, her first tattoo day, so good luck and we can't wait to see it.

Have a good week, I think I know what I'll be doing for the next couple of weeks....work, work and then maybe some more work!

Glad you like all the new designs, no doubt more will be coming your way very soon.

Lots of Love

Sarah

25th September

Well, it's been a while since we did this... but... it's time for NEW DESIGNS!

Or rather, they're more kinda old designs... well, not that old, but they've not actually been on sale on the site yet - we've made so many lovely new designs this year, and have been so busy, that we've not had the time to put these on yet - so here they are!

Our newest products :o)

Moonmaiden Gothic Clothing UK - PVC Miniskirt

Moonmaiden Gothic Clothing UK - Belladonna Skirt

Moonmaiden Gothic Clothing UK - PVC Leggings Moonmaiden Gothic Clothing UK - Crystal Maiden Gown Moonmaiden Gothic Clothing UK - PVC Halter Bodice

PVC Mini Skirt

Belladonna

Skirt

PVC Leggings

Crystal Maiden Gown

PVC Halter Bodice

Of course, we could have put some of the really new designs on, but then we'd just get even more confused :)  However, I've a feeling we'll be sneaking some of them onto the site proper very soon... hehehehe....

Off to get my hands covered in superglue now...

Michael

18th September
Yeeehaaaaaaa!

A month today will be my Birthday LOL!!!!
41!!!!
Not to worry though, it's all good :>)

Presents and lots and meals out, so I think I can just about
stand it LOL!

Been a bit of a funny week, Michael's not been very well
this week, but he's feeling a bit better now. I don't really
know what it is, I think he might need some more iron
 replacement, but we'll see.

Muppy is still going on, up and down of course, but still
with us, and that's the main thing :>) One minute she
looks like she's on deaths door, and then next minute
 she's running around like a nutter :>)

Bless her :>)

We've been very busy with work, and it looks like we'll have
to work tomorrow but we're planning on going for a walk
when we've finished. And then we can have Sunday off
before we start all over again :>)

But its is our busiest time of year, so we're used to it now
:>)

We're still pleased with all the pictures we took last week
 so here's another one :>)

Made from the cotton fabric, a really full long dress with
little frills on the short sleeves!

I am feeling so sorry for Katie Price at the moment, it seems like everything she does or says is immediately attacked.

If she was raped she doesn't need to be treated like the villain, and if she doesn't want to press charges it's up to her.  Perhaps she shouldn't have said anything, but she's hardly likely to make up something like that is she ?

She seems to be public enemy number one at the moment, and I think people should give her a bit of a break!

That's my mini rant over with :>)

Have a good weekend :>) New moon tonight, so maybe the start of a bit of good luck :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

Boscawen-Un Circle

13th September

Yay!  We finally got to take some new photos!  Spent most of the day on Friday at the wonderful Boscawen-Un Stone Circle near Land's End in scorching sunshine and (mostly) gentle winds, Michael even managed to get his face sunburnt!   The sneaky peaky photo by the centre stone above is of an as yet un-named very full skirt and the new Blackflame Top :)

I know we goths aren't supposed to like the sunshine, but it's been a flipping nice change to have a bit of it in Cornwall of late!

Now then, who wants to be in The Times newspaper?  They've want to do a feature on a teenage girl with a 'goth inspired bedroom' - so if you're between 16 and 19, and fancy being in the Times, get in touch with us and we'll let you know the contact details!

Had a lovely meal at the Golden Lion last night for Michael's mum and dad's Fiftieth anniversary, and for his Aunt's 80th birthday, was great to see everyone again!

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday,

Sarah & Michael

Madron well

7th September

Good Muppy news :>)

Her thyroid tablets have started working again, she's gone from 103 down to 50 !!!! So that's fabulous news :>) I'm not sure why it's changed but I don't care, as long as she's better that's all that counts !

Bless her! I think that's another one of her lives gone, and we're calling her our miracle Muplet !

Of course we don't know how long this will be the case but in the mean time, we're sooooooo happy :>)

She really is an amazing cat!

I've been very busy all weekend, painting the lounge, as we're staying here now, and it's looking gorgeous :>) A long way off from being finished but it's going to look fab when it's all finished. I haven't unpacked all my wiccan stuff yet, I might try and do that this week.

Big Brother is all over now, which is a shame :>( I know it's not cool to watch it any more even the folks who make the programme don't watch it, but I can't help that LOL!!!! It's the last one next year so I hope they make it a good one. I shall miss it when it goes and I shall miss Davina as I think she's brilliant.

We are actually supposed to have some decent weather this week !!!! SHOCK!!!!!

Photo's I hear you cry!!! New designs ???? They're all ready but we just haven't had the time, as we've been running around Cornwall the last few weeks not finding any where to live :>)

Life really is weird sometimes isn't it ?

You'd think that selling would be the difficult bit, but it's not !  No, it's the finding that's the problematic part, but at least we know where we stand now, and this place is going to look just fine by the time I've finished. I'm going to start a veggie plot at the side of the house, so there's lots of clearing to be done, but I shall enjoy that :>)  I think I'm strange too LOL!!!!

Another busy week here at Moonmaiden Towers,  and then on Saturday we're off out to celebrate Michael's Mum and Dad's 50th Wedding anniversary! 50 years hey ? Bloody amazing, I hope we last that long :>)

Have a good week, and good luck to Rachel who starts back this week :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah and a happy Muppy

3rd September

Look away now if you don't want to hear more doom and gloom.

SO!

We took Muppy to the vets on Tuesday and it was not good news :>(

She'd lost more weight, which means the new tablets aren't working, and the fluid has started to build up on her lungs again :>(

There's not much we can do now, but she had an injection to help get the fluid down and we've upped her water tablets, but it really is just a matter of time now.

I don't know how long, it's all about her quality of life, and at the moment, she's still eating and purring and loving, so we'll just have to wait and see.

The tranquilizer we used really clamed her down, but we can't use them too much because they affect her heart, so we need to keep vet visits to the minimum.

More bad news coming your way :>)

We lost our house at Carne cross, looked frantically all weekend, and I mean ALL bloody weekend, and found one more nice home but that was a no go, as we had to exchange in 3 weeks time which our solicitor said was impossible.

So here we we were with 4 weeks before we had to move and no where to go.  We thought about it a lot and with Muppy being so poorly and Mother getting madder, we decided it was just too much stress, so we've had to take the house off the market.

There was no way we could have got out in time and we really didn't want to let our buyers down, but we really couldn't find any where we liked, and we weren't going to move just for the sake of it.

So it's been a total mess, but I guess that's what happens when the chain breaks, it carries on all the way down the line :>(

I shall be busy un packing all my stuff this weekend, so at least it will "feel" like we've moved LOL!!!

So yeah, we've found a new place- sort of- I always thought our place looked fab on Rightmove :>)

We were upset, but really Muppy is our main concern, and it's not as if this place sucks !  We're going to stay here and make it really nice, and just chill for the next few years. I shan't even think about moving again for a VERY long time !

Must get on with work it's soooooo busy and all this moving nonsense has taken up way to much time!

Lots of Love

Sarah

31st August

Hi Ya'll :>)

What a weekend we're having! Everything has gone wrong :>)! But we did win a tenner on the lottery LOL!!!!!

Mum came down yesterday and frightened the be-jesus outta us :>(  Very scary and so sad.  We've been desperately trying to find some where to live so we don't loose this sale, and I think poor old Michael has had enough all ready!

But we have come up with a cunning plan, and are looking at some more places today :>) I shan't mention where or when, I don't want to jinx it so I shan't say a word till we're in LOL!

I hope you're all having a better time than us, and that the sun is shining where you are. Yesterday was abysmal it was thick fog all day and driving around in it was a nightmare!

Not to worry though, onward and upward as I always say!

Have a good one

Lots of Love

28th August

Another UPDATE!!!!

OMFG!!!!

If I have to hear Siavash moan on and on and on any more I think I'm going to be physically sick!!!!

He is so transparent!!! What a looser!!!!!

By the boos it looks like Marcus will be up, but I reckon that Siavash is a complete and utter bull shitter!!!!

My God!

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, seeing as we've lost our house, but  to me ,Siavash is a super MINGE!!!!!

I'm gonna give all the money to charity!!! Yeah, yeah bloody yeah!

It's not HIS money so why don't he just sod off!!!!

Put  your stupid bare chest away, you're making me vom!!!!!

I think I must be in a BAD arse mood!

UPDATE!!!! 5 pm

It's all gone tits up LOL!!!

Yes I'm laughing, well it was either that or cry so I'm laughing :>)

Our home at Carne Cross that we were going to buy has been taken off the market! YUP! That's right folks, we had the search done THIS morning, and the estate agents phoned us just now and said it's all over!

WELL!!! That was a waste of f'in time but luckily no money's been wasted as we had a free survey!

BASTARDO'S

Not anyone in particular but it's f'in annoying and now we are running around like headless chickens trying to find some where else :>)

OH BUGGER!

But I suppose if it's not meant to be, it wasn't meant to be.

That my lovely's,  is our luck :>(

And of course they left it till late Friday, and it's bank holiday weekend!!!!

WHY OH WHY ???????

So no walks tomorrow............. lots of house looking at!

*****************************************************

Hurrah!!! Bank holiday weekend :>)

Not sure about the weather, but we're gong to have a good one anyway!

I think walking is planned for tomorrow a good long walk down west with home made pasties for lunch! Yummy!!!

Still no more news about the move so this is the quiet bit and we have to wait to see if anything goes wrong!

Muppy is not too bad, but I'm not sure if the tablets are working are not.  She is running around like a nutter and is extremely cute, but she has a vet appointment on Tuesday so we'll do another blood test then and find out later on.  It's a real worry, but she doesn't know and that's the main thing.

Now onto Big Brother!

Tonights eviction is Siavash or Marcus! I think you know which way to vote :>)  I think this is the big one this week, as  I couldn't care less about the other people in there, they're a load of morons who are about as entertaining as cleaning out Lunar's cage!  They're all too similar and are really BORING!!!

So I think Marcus should stay, much more entertaining and winds BB up! Did he cut that ponytail off for 15 grand ?  NO HE DID NOT!!!! That's the sort of guy Marcus is LOL!!!!!

Siavash on the other hand is a trouble maker, winds everyone up and then distances himself from any of the consequences,  he really annoys me! And the rest of the stupid housemates are so inane they don't get it, and then blame Marcus for everything!

If Marcus goes tonight, I shan't watch it anymore............... Well maybe the final to see which looser has won LOL!!!!! And Booo at Noirin !!!! Hehehehe!!

I have finished all the new designs and have made a gorgeous wedding dress, it's beautiful!

We need some nice weather, so maybe next week ? I still haven't managed a really good graveyard photo session yet, but I'm having second thoughts now!  A guy was prosecuted earlier this year for taking pictures in a graveyard and a church!  Mind you he was an erotic photographer and was taking pics of ladies in the nip LOL!!!!

Most disrespectful!   A pretty weird thing to do if you ask me, but each to their own I suppose ;>)

Any way have a fab long weekend, and enjoy the extra day :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So do us a favour if you  have a free minute and 35 pence to waste call

09016161613 get that  devious Siavash out LOL!!!!!

19th August

Hey hey !!!!!

We are all sorted :>)

Our house sold, subject to contract of course. New house got, subject to contract :>)

Here's the snug little lounge with the most important multi fuel burner ;>)

pictures have been removed due to life!

View from the front

Might well be a nice view but we won't be looking at it LOL!

Conservatory where we will be making all your lovely clothes :>)

Bugger the stupid conservatory! Who needs one anyway!

Kitchen -  ohhhh look at that chimney hood LOL!!! Posh or what!!!

Obviously too posh for me!

And last but certainly not least a nice big garden to grow lots of veggies.

No doubt I'll find a bigger and better garden LOL!

So we're really happy with it, I hope nothing goes wrong, I have never had such a modern kitchen, and the garden is really big, so I can't wait till we move in, hopefully the end of next month!

Load of bullocks! They took it off the market!

Thanks for all the get well wishes for Muppy, she's actually doing very well, but we won't really know till  the next blood test. Of course it's the worst time to move with her being poorly, but what can you do ?  I hope she gets to spend lots of happy days in the new garden, digging up all the veggies I plant :>)

Loads of orders to do, really busy but the good thing is we'll be in the new place before the Halloween rush, and it's not as if we have lots to do when we move in so we can get on with work straight away!

Please vote Bea out this week as she is horrible, she deserves to go after all her nastiness with Freddie last week. Marcus to stay in of course, I think he could do very well, I don't think he'll win, I think Charlie will win, because of his family situation, which is a shame really.  But I suppose that's life!

Anyhoo, I must away loads of work to do and then we have to start packing up stuff, could be paper plates again soon LOL!!!!

Have a good week

Love

Sarah

15th August

It's either all or nothing :>)

Had to tell you!!!! We've had an offer put in on our housey and we've said yes, so we could be moving soon !!!

I'm soooooooo  excited because not only will we be leaving here, but I don't have to get the house ready for any more viewings!!!!!! BRILLIANT!

I hated all that cleaning, it was exhausting!

Muppy's not seeming too bad at the moment, we're keeping a very close eye on her, but fingers crossed her increased tablets will slow her thyroid down. Also she's now on 20mg and we can go up to 25mg so we still have room for more if we need it.

I have finally got around to making some new designs today, I've made a fabulous skirt from the coutil, it's looking gorgeous, I'm really pleased with it, and still more to make of course but I got too excited to work any more LOL!

I'm going to celebrate with a new recipe tonight, I'm going to try and make veggie crispy shredded  beef, so I'll let you know how it goes. I've defrosted a couple of veggie burgers and some quorn fillets, so here's hoping!

Anyhoo, I must away, have a good Saturday!

Lots of Love

Sarah

14th August

Wow, can't believe it's been so long since my last whittering!

We've been so busy with work and viewings that it has been a bit crazy!

We think we have a buyer for our home but they haven't sold theirs yet, so it's just a matter of waiting I suppose, at least we have no viewings this weekend, which will make a nice change!

Not  had a very good  week, all sorts of problems with Mother, and we had some really sad news about Muppy.

She had her 3 monthly check up, and her thyroid is back up to a dangerous level. She was so stressed after her appointment we really thought that we were going to loose her, but she lasted the night and she's just taking things really slowly now.

To be honest we don't know how long we've got with her as the vet thinks that she has a tumor on her thyroid and that's why it's no longer being controlled by the tablets, it's gone from benign to malignant :>(  They think that's the only thing it can be, because she was doing so well before.  And she's back on her water tablets now, as her breathing was getting very bad again.

We didn't get the results back till yesterday so we were very upset last night. There were lots of choices, but we've had a word with the vet today, and we're upping her thyroid tablets, to see if that does anything and if not we'll just keep her here with us and look after her the best we can.

We could send her to Bristol for radiation - quarantine for a month!!!!!-  or an MRI scan -  but she gets so stressed anyway, I don't think she'd make it. And if anything happened to her without us being there we'd feel awful! She's been with us for 12 years and we're not sending her away now!  It's a difficult decision but the vet said he'd do the same if it was his cat, so we feel we've done the right thing.

She's a strong little thing, and everyone who's seen her over the past few months has said how well she was looking, so I think this has come on very quickly, I honestly didn't notice any change in her.

So we're staying positive and we're just going to enjoy all the time we have left with her.

On to more cheery stuff......BB!

Oh we're loving it this week!

And after much debate and deliberation we've decided to vote Freddie out. Its' not that we don't like him, or that we do like him LOL!!!! But he's had such a hard time from the BEA YATCH this week, it's been cruel to watch!  On the other hand Marcus has stood up to her, and defended poor old Freddie and he's more entertaining, so we hope he stays!

So vote Freddie out and keep the irrepressible dark horse in LOL!!!!  Also it will be good for Freddie as I think he's having a bit of break down in there! He needs his friends, not nasty people around him!

Mind you I wish neither of them were up, I can't stand Charlie or Bea.......... Both a couple of conniving drama queens......So hopefully one of them will be up next week.

I must away now and go and see my darling mother, who no doubt will be delighted to see me LOL!

We're having a quiet weekend, staying in and looking after the Muplet.

Have a good one

Lots of Love

Sarah

3rd August

Ahhhhhhhh Monday already ?  Where'd the weekend go?

It's a bugger when it goes so fast!

We had people look at our house-let and they liked it, but of course no offer made, as there's lots to contemplate when buying a new home :>)

We've had lots of drama with electric bills, Mother was charged over a grand for her last quarterly bill, luckily we checked the reading and they were wrong LOL!  Direct debit as well, so keep an eye out folks!

We have just organised Martryns Birthday present, and we know he's gonna love it :>)

But why I'm really here, is because of the scandalous, outrageous behaviour that went on in BB last night!!!!!

Did anyone see it ?

If not ............Get this!!!!!!!

Marcus was so angry with Dave last night, he didn't offer him a biscuit......probably a custard cream but I'm not sure.............. YES! That's right, he offered everyone else a biscuit but NOT Dave!!!!!!

Dave was furious, and rightly so I think.....the last clip from last nights show was David having a heart to heart with Lisa about biscuit gate, and well it was just too exciting LOL!!!  Lisa was as equally shocked as Dave and Dave said, I may be a queen................as in, he's gay............. But I'm more of a man that Marcus will EVER be!

WOW!!!! See what you're missing folks LOL!!!!

Ah dear, but seriously it was really good last week, it's just such a shame this year that they're all walking when they want to, and as always the interesting ones  get voted off first!   But there's still poor old Freddie, and of course the marvelous Bea. Bet you she gets kicked off this Friday, then it will be biscuits, biscuits all the way LOL!

I must get on with work, not too busy this week, so hopefully they'll be time to make some new designs, and take some pics......if it EVER stops raining!

Catch you later and have a good week :>)

Love

Sarah

30th July

Ok People! here we go, time to pimp our home LOL!

Here's the link....

click me!

Enjoy!

So If you know anyone who wants to buy a fabulous bungalow in Cornwall, here she be!  We have another booking this Saturday but last Saturday's appointment never showed!   I was NOT happy!

Still, I suppose these things happen!

We should be taking new design pics this weekend, the one above is one we took last month, but it was too flippin' windy and Michael lost his temper with the weather LOL! So lets hope it's nice this weekend :>)

I'm starting to really enjoy BB now, and Noirin's boy friend is in there now, and poor old Siavash has been dumped! I knew she'd do it, she is a naughty girl LOL!

Not much other news really, just loads of work, and trying desperately to keep our home spotless and tidy! An impossible task with all the work, 3 cats and a bunny! Oh and us, we're pretty messy ourselves LOL!

I hope we get some more appointments for this weekend, I don't want to loose our house at Carne Cross!!!! I've already thought about what to do with the back of the property, window shutters, cute little roof-let over the back door, a witch on the wall and lots and lots of pots with flowers!  It's going to be sooooo bloody twee it'll look stunning!  And the front of the house, well there's loads to do with that!  A veggie plot, maybe some chickens and still some left for sitting in :>)    But I must calm down, as we very well may not sell this for months!   I bloody hope not though !

Best get back to work, Friday soon so the weekend cometh!

Have a good one,

Lots of Love

25th July

Eeeep! Eeeeeep!

So much to tell you all :>)

We've been mega busy with work AND we've managed to get our house ready to go on the market :>)  We had the pictures taken last Wednesday so I'll put a link up when it's all done and on right move!

And guess what ? We already have a viewing booked for this morning and it's not even properly on yet !

And guess what else ?

We've already found some where that we want to move to :>)

Oh yes! We have been wasting no time :>)

It's a gorgeous cottage, near the Eden project funnily enough, but we don't care where it is, we love the place :>) It's got a huge conservatory built on so that'll be our work room, and a snug little lounge with a multi fuel burner so that'll make me very happy!  We've out an offer in, and it's been accepted but the thing is we have to sell this, so they're still keeping it up for sale :>( I hope we don't miss out, but I guess if we do, we do, and it wasn't meant to be!

I have also come up with a  fantastic money making scheme.

You know all those adverts about unwanted gold and stuff, well, I thought, it would be a good idea if I set up a shop to buy all of peoples unwanted 10 pound notes ? Good huh ?

I'll pop a pre-paid envelope in the post to the customer.............. yes that's pre paid, thank you very much...........you can stuff all your unwanted wonger into the afore mentioned envelope and I guarantee to repay you at the very least 25 pence, maybe 50 pence maybe even a pound :>)

It depends on the quality and the crispness of the note :>)

So what do ya think ?

Hehehehehehehe!

Also I'm absolutely gutted by Siavash on BB this year !  I thought he was very cute, and not like all the other guys on the show, but he is the latest victim of the temptress that is Noreen !  Hooooo Haaar!   And he's got a girlfriend ! It's a shocker I tell you!

Well, I must away as the lady is coming at 11 and just a few more finishing touches to be done. Then we're off up to Jane and Martyns......... kittens ahoy :>)  Pam and Mark are coming down as well, so should be a good day :>)

Have a good weekend, and look out for those germs!

Lots of Love

Right, here it is!  Finally!  Oh yes!

Our New Faery Logo Top!

We're selling it 'sneakily' at the moment, so that all of our regular customers have a chance to buy it first since it's a limited edition - so you won't see it listed anywhere else on the website ;o)   Just click the above pic for more details.

Also, if anyone wants a colour that's a little different, we've now got a limited quantity of 'Desert Rust' velvet - have a badgers at the colour chart where you can see it!

Cheers

11th July

As promised.............. a little late as we're very busy.....here are the kittens.......

Itsy and Bitsy!

Jane and Martyn are very lucky parents indeed!

And if you pick them up they purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr instantly LOL!

We've been having an extremely hectic time. Working like demons, sorting out our housey, and trying to find some where nice to move to. There was a fabulous place at Delabole, but they managed to sell it in less than a week !   It was gorgeous though, so I guess we have to be quick off the mark if we see any where similar !

I'm off to finish painting the spare room, we just had Mum down for a bit, thought that she'd enjoy  seeing us and the animals, but she just went berserk.....not sure why, or what happened......but we did manage to get her back home safely....no easy task!

And tonight is the TV event of all time! The Katie Price interview LOL! I shall be glued to the set and will watch every bit of it !!!

I'm team Price of course, I think she tried really hard to put up with him and all his moods and self depreciating clap trap! And then in the end he left her ?? I know it must be difficult for her, but I really think that after some time she'll realise she's better off without Mr Smug LOL!

I don't know why, but this last series, his Mr Wonderful act has really got my goat!!! Did you see the bit where he missed the string section recording on his new CD, because he had to make Mothers Day cards with the kids!  I mean it must have taken all of 10 minutes, and then made out he was such an amazing person, 'cos he'd done it!  It's called time management DERRRR!!!!

I know he's a good Dad and all that, and he's busy with his music and selling himself, but his wife needed some attention too! I know, as I'm pretty high maintenance myself LOL!!!!

Still, it's very sad, and I guess it's a horrible time for the whole family.

Anyhoo that's 9.00pm tonight on ITV 1:>)

I must away, have a good weekend

Love

Sarah

Hooooo Har!:>)

Ahhh all this guilt free, spare time is a wonder indeed LOL!

I have spent the day gardening, listening to the fabulous All About Eve. I haven't listened to them since I moved in here, don't know why, but they are still as fresh as ever :>)  Julianne's voice really is beautiful.

I have to get a new copy of Winter Words though as it's all scratched :>( You have to have Theft and Different Sky don't you ?   Beautiful indeed!

I have heard from kitten-mitten central and they have been collected and are on their way home LOL!

I can't wait to see them tomorrow, loads of cuddles and hugs. I'm not jealous at all.........I'm thinking I should have done the new logo picture in green, instead of red LOL!

I shall of course take some pictures and share their kitteness with all of you.

Lunar is VERY happy, and back to her usual vampire bunny mode. I don't know if the spaying has clamed her down any or not !  My arms look like they've been attacked by a grizzly bear but it was just Lunar's little back paws LOL!

I'm off to enjoy some more free time, and  my conscience is clear!

Lots of Love

Sarah

3rd July

The collars are off :>)

As you can see, she looked super cutsie! But they are now off!!!! I'm not sure for how long, as she is a bit of an obsessive cleaner, so we have to keep our eye on her, but hopefully she's healed properly now, and can't do any harm !

Had a good week so far, and have cracked on with work, but it's looking mega busy next week!  Jane and Martyn are moving into their new house at the moment, and we're going up to see them and TWO new kitten mittens on Sunday!  Of course we have to take Yetta with us....that's my new name for mother :>)...............no doubt she'll be over the edge with excitement, but such is life :>(

I haven't heard from the carers or Yetta all week, so it's been a really good week :>) LOL!!!!

Free at last !

We had a very wise email from someone this week...make clear and strong decisions he said, and he was right!  You can't dither around with these people, although Yetta had me dithering like a loon!

But no more :>)

As we're planning on moving soon, I got some fab new curtains for the lounge off Ebay!  They were only £16.00, a yukky ivory colour and they are made from faux silk, fully lined and look excellent!  They're not for me of course, I liked the purple and spider web ones, but I don't think any buyers would like that! So if you need new curtains Ebay's the place to go!

I must get back to work now, such a shame as it's a nice sunny day but you gotta have your orders I suppose :>)

See you later and have a good weekend!

Lots of Love

Sarah

30th June

Yeah!!!!!

Hello everyone :>)

I'm all dressed up and ready for a bit of sunshine so we can finally take some pictures of the new logo top! 'Tis funny really 'cos as soon as I got ready the sun went in LOL!!!

Ah well such is life!

I am still working though so no time wasted!

Poor young Lunar is still wearing her collars! Went back to the vets yesterday and we think that Friday will be Collar removal day and then she will be free at last !  I can't wait and neither can she!

We're still getting more and more freedom from Mother, the carers are taking over everything, so looks like we'll be able to do what WE want at last !!!   There's nothing else we can do for her now, as she's waaaaaay past anything I'm capable of, and professional care is what she needs!

Now on to worky type things.

As you know we have had new leaflets printed.............. hopefully take a pic later if the sun shows her face again...... anyway, if you have anything that you would like to promote and share with our customers, just whack a few leaflets our way and we'll pop them in with our orders!

Lets' spread some love man :>)

Michael is hoping to have the new designs ready for tomorrow...............July already !!!  Be my Birthday soon LOL!!!!!! Hehehehehehehehe!

I must away back to my machines, I hope the sun comes out soon!

Lots of Love

25th June

My goodness me, it's been ages!

MWAH   MWAH!!!

There supposed to be kisses BTW

As you can probably imagine it's been hectic yet again.  Not only work, we had the Faery Fest stuff to organise, Pam and Marks Birthday celebrations, and of course Mama.

On top of all that, we STILL have a poorly bunny! We took her to the vets last Monday and she still has to wear her collars , poor little thing. But she's healing well and all things going well, next Monday will be her collar free day a last!!! We do take it off a couple of times a day so she can have a clean but you have to watch her every second to make sure she doesn't pull her stitches out, and we have to wash and put cream on her big overlock stitching twice a day, and we like to let her have a run around a couple of times a day, so that's taken up lots of time.

And yes she's worth it, she is turning into a very cuddly girl and we love our Lunar very much :>)

As far as Mum goes, I have tried very hard to leave it all to the carers, but it's not that simple I'm afraid. Last week she phoned every other night, not knowing where she was, and thought she was locked in and was pretty scared, but she's chosen to stay there, so it's all a bit difficult as usual.

Today we had a call from the carers as her fridge had packed up, so we had to rush out and get a new one, of course it won't be delivered till Saturday, so we got a mini fridge to tide her over. Her shopping comes tomorrow so we thought, OK, we'll sort our fridge out, so we were defrosting it, perhaps Michael was a little over vigorous, and a bottle of beer fell off the top of the fridge on his head!

So he's now in agony, and has lots of ice on the bump LOL!!!!

I tell you, nothing is ever easy!

The guy in Comet was really helpful though, and let us off the delivery fee, so at least something went right :>)

Mum is still very angry and today when I told her she had to buy a new fridge freezer she exploded !!! Not a pretty sight!  She swore and shouted, went to hit me, luckily I dodged, and as I waved to say goodbye she actually stuck 2 fingers up at me!!! LOL!!!

So nothing changed there then!

I have to say it's still impossible, worry, worry, worry, and I know this is what we're left with now, but it still seems crazy to me. The one good thing is that when I look at the clock every day, I now know that the carers will be in to see her soon, which is good. The extra visit has helped a lot, and I think they're brilliant to take it on!

When we were up there today we had a chat with one of the carers and she told us that she thought what we did for Mum was fantastic and she actually said it was faultless!!!!  Of course I nearly burst into tears, but it was good to hear ! She hoped that she'd be able to be as good to her Mum, and I'm sure she will be. I think it takes a very special kind of person to be a carer for the elderly, let alone the elderly with dementia. and there's no way I could do it, if she wasn't my Mum!

So more of the same from us, the usual staggering from one catastrophe to another, but in between times, we're still making gorgeous clothes and actually making the orders on time :>)

Enjoy the thunder storms tomorrow and hopefully we'll have a good sunny weekend!

Lots of Love

Sarah

13th June

WELL!!!!

We're still going.......... onward we go........................ and huge apologies to people who's orders were a little late this week. We're working all weekend trying to catch up, so by Tuesday we should be back to our normal time range!

We had 2 meetings about Mum this week, one on Tuesday and one yesterday, yesterday's was very beneficial and we did come to some resolution, even if it's just a stop gap till we have  the physical side of things sorted.

Mum refused hospital care, and because of that, they our now taking over the care side of things, and that includes paying for it, which I think is really good, as she really should be in a hospital now, but no one can make her. None of it is her fault, so it's good that they are going to try and give her the care she needs in her own home.

It's the next best thing, and you have to take her aggression into account which does make it difficult to place her any where. This way she gets what she wants and hopefully the care she needs.

So I am happy about that, and am leaving it all up to social services and the carers from here on in. I'll still be visiting her of course and keeping an eye on things, but it's just so good to know it's not my responsibility any more.  When she'd stopped eating altogether a few weeks back, I was terrified that something awful  would happen and it would have been my fault then!

So we'll have to see how Thursday goes for her next check up.

We also have a very naughty bunny. She is now called Lunar by the way, as I kept calling her Pugsley and she did NOT like it LOL!

She has been back to the vets twice, yesterday and this morning, as she keeps opening up her wound from her op :>(   She now has a collar on.......looks super cute BTW........but she's not so happy with it. It's the only way to get it to heal though, so hopefully she will be better soon :>)

It looks like she's wearing a little bonnet }:=) LOL!

Nothing's ever easy is it ?

We have the new leaflets printed and our new logo tops arrived yesterday looking very good :>)  We'll put them on the site, as soon as we get a chance!

Have a good weekend, and enjoy the sunny shine :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

4th June

Bunny update!!!!

He's a girl, so Pugslina it is LOL!!!

She's come round from her op Ok and we're picking HER up in a minute. I thought as she was so aggressive she was a boy, but apparently the girl bunnies are more aggressive than the boys :>)

So hopefully she'll be a lot calmer now, and we'll have less biting. Mind you, I bet calling her a beautiful boy the whole time didn't help her temper!

So I can put lots of bows in her hair now and not feel guilty :>)

Had a dreadful day yesterday, we had to go to a meeting to decide what's best for Mum, and it was just awful :>(   Not the people, they were all fine and knew what they were doing, it's just such a miserable thing to have to do.

I wish I could disappear and come back when it's all over with.

So next week I think they'll be another load of appointments................. this just goes on and on and on forever .........And if after all this they still say there's nothing they can do, I'm upping the carers again, if they say she needs 24 hour care, that's what she'll have to have. I am not leaving her up there on her own any longer. And if she can still refuse to go into a care home, that's our only option. It'll cost them a fortune, but she's not safe, she's not happy and she's not well.

The lady in charge yesterday said that it had got out of hand, and I'm in full agreement with her. This has been left too long, but no ones to blame, the law is the law. And if the law is an ass as they say, what the hell are they supposed to do ?

I am totally fed up with the whole thing, I don't want to go to another meeting, another doctors appointment, another specialists appointment or anything! I have got to the point where I just can't cope with it any more, but I'll bloody well have to.

I'd like to fast forward to this October please :>).......Mind you, it could still be going on then I suppose.

Next week, we have a mental health assessment, another financial assessment, and god knows what ever else.

I think I shall book myself into the Wellington Hotel for the next few weeks, and eat their wonderful blue cheese souffle every night, and visit the witch museum every day !   Now that would be heaven!

But I'd better not :>(

We're off to collect our baby girl bunny now, and to give her lots of love and an apology LOL!

Catch you later

Lots of Love

Sarah

4th June -am

OMFG!!!

Pugsley has gone to the vets today for his operation! .................  You know what I mean, but they couldn't find any bunny bits LOL!!! They think he might be a girl LOL!!!!!

But the Vet told Michael that unlike them, bunnies can hide their bunny bits inside ! Dear, dear!!!!

I shall let you know the outcome later today!

Will he be Pugsley or will she be Pugslina ?

28th May

Hi Guys, me again :>)

All or nothing LOL!!

But I had to come on here to have a rant about all the changes in dementia care!

They're starting in Scotland and I reckon they've already started down here.

It's called Remember I'm still me!

Well! That sounds all very nice and sweet, but the reality of it is they are NOT still who they used to be!  I should know, I have seen my Mum change over the last few years, and I know the effect it has on the person who has dementia and the rest of the family!  Why don't they just come and ask me!

I know it's awful that in care homes people are not allowed out, I was shocked myself, but think about it for a minute. They don't know who they are or where they are, from time to time they have moments of clarity, but what happens if they get lost or get run over ? Hey ?   I don't think the family, or the people who are making up these changes would be very happy then would they ?

And there's the problem with medication, if they don't want to take it, what are you supposed to to ? Just let them do what they want ?

Respect, yes. Dignity, yes. But they cannot be allowed to make certain choices, as they are a danger to themselves!

I reckon all this liberty stuff, is just a way to get rid of a very serious problem. Lets face it, Mum should really have gone into a home a few years back, where we would have chosen a nice home, and maybe she would have got a bit better with all the care that she would have got, and life would have been easier all round.

But she's still in her own home, and we're doing the job, for free!

But we're in the position now, that liberty and freedom come first, she can choose what she wants, until she gets seriously ill, or seriously lost, and then she will be put into a care home which is specifically for aggressive dementia. Not nice, and just plain stupid if you ask me!

Why can't they get to the problem before it gets to this level,....lets see, she can no longer look after herself anymore, her daughter can't do it anymore, so lets find a home and make sure she's looked after properly!

And do you know it's actually all my fault, if we hadn't moved here and looked after her, she would have been deemed in danger by social services, and they would have taken over ages ago!

So here's a tip for you, if you have a relative that has dementia, get them diagnosed, and tell social services and then leave it!   Sounds harsh but I'm telling you, it's the only way to go!

You know Mum said to the social worker that she'd rather die than go into a care home ! Is that rational ? I suppose it makes a change from her wishing me dead LOL!

It just drives me nuts...no pun intended...., people are making decisions and they don't know what it REALLY is like to care for someone who has dementia. Dementia means to go mad, so logical thinking has left the building, and there's no point pretending that it hasn't!

Rant over!

Now some more cute pictures!

Leggie baby and Pugsley "bonding"!

Pugsley being brave in the garden

Have a good Thursday

Lots of love

Sarah

27th May

Firstly Happy Birthday to Vincent Price :>)  Such a shame he's no longer with us :>( But what a man!

I'm also happy to tell you that my rib has finally healed!!!! Hurrah!!! I have had no pain killers for the last couple of days, still a bit sore but nothing like it was! It was flippin' agony!

So hopefully I'll be back up to speed soon.

We had lots of people to see Mama last week, the OT did her thing and her results are that Mum needs 24 hour care, whether in a care home or in her own home.  I knew that!

But she's still up there, she is eating more now, all rubbish of course but it's better than nothing! Her temper has got a lot worse as well, she has now taken to chasing after me shouting and screaming every time I leave!.......Which is nice!  Her ankles are doing a rather fair impersonation of balloons, but she's refusing all help and to go to the doctor so she'll just have to put up with it!

Fed up with it all ?   Me ?????

We met our social worker last week and she was very nice, but there's nothing she can really do about it all either.

LIBERTY! That's the word of the moment.

So Mother can stay where she is, making herself ill, and being miserable as hell and abusing everyone she likes! Not knowing what's going on, if it's night or day, summer or winter, or if she's 32 or 92!

LIBERTY!

What about mine ?  I ask in a very small voice :>)

But on to work matters!

The Faery Fest is fast approaching so you'd better get your tickets!

We're doing a fashion show this year, which is terribly exciting but also nerve wracking!  I'm not sure what day yet, but I'll let you know!

YES! I shall actually be doing something that does not involve Mother LOL!!!!   And going somewhere that isn't Mount Hawke :>)

We're having our new logo tops printed in honour of the occasion and some new leaflets so it's all go here! I'm not making the logo tops, as I just don't have the time, we're so busy with orders, so they will be the shoe string type tops, we're trying to get some bigger sizes as they only go up to a 16 at the moment !

This whole Katie and Peter thing is driving me nuts LOL!!! Why is he getting all the sympathy ???? EH ? I'm on team Katie LOL!!!!

And completely off subject here's the pic of our fox baby from last week :>)

Now have you ever seen anything sooooo cute?

I hope you all had a good long weekend. It's supposed to be really sunny this weekend as well, so we're off to take some more pictures of new designs! There are so many to do, but I'm all behind thanks to ribs and mother!

I'm hoping for lunch at the Pandora, our new favourite Pub, and then take some pics by the river :>)

See you later

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

19th May

Looky!  I've been turned into a Faery again

If it carries on like this I'll be growing wings LOL!!!

Sorry not have done a whisperings sooner, but I'm still poorly, my rib is still killing me, and the cough lingers on :>(   And of course every time I cough I hurt my rib, and so on and on it goes :>)

We had worrying news about Mum as well, and it all seemed dreadful last week, but as usual things change so quickly and she doesn't seem that bad again :>) No doubt tomorrow will be different again.

She had her diabetic results and she'd lost a stone very quickly......that'll be not eating that will!................And they were concerned so they took more blood and found some scary things:>(  They were going to do lots of tests but now we are being put in touch with Elderly Care and they're going to sort out what to do health wise for  her.

She's back to being bad tempered and rude, but that's the norm. I also think that she's started eating a little more as well, which makes me wonder does she know what's going on ?

So worrying and waiting, was just a waste of time, and we'll have to see what happens this week, with everyone coming out!   Will the saga ever end ?   I'm beginning to think not!

Oh and Michael had his Birthday, not the best one ever as we were both ill, but he enjoyed it!

Big Thanks to Rachel for his present, and fabulous Nephilim card :>)

We watched the Eurovision, and were shocked at the winning song! I thought it was awful, and he was Russian, sneaky hey?!!! Iceland was my favourite, and I'm still singing it! Only thing is, it makes me cry LOL!!!!!  I'm a silly soppy cow sometimes!

I do have some bad news though.  Jane and Martyns cat, Monster was very poorly last week, and they did an operation, and tried to save him, but he had to be put to sleep last night :>(

He was only 2 years old, and was as beautiful as could be, but they think he had got FIP. I'd never heard of it before, and it is a very vicious illness.

I wish I had some good news to share, but it's still all a bit crappy at the moment. The Mum thing is dragging on and on, and of course with Monster, it was just too sad :>(

Oh but I do have some good news!!!

We had a fox baby in our garden last Friday!

He was super cute, and we had to keep the cats in all night as they were trying to catch him!  Mind you I think they would have got a nasty shock if they had got him!I had to chase a neighbours cat away from him, and for my thanks, the fox baby growled at me LOL!!!!!

But in the morning I think his Mum had come back, apparently they leave the babies in safe places to pick up later!

And we went out for lunch twice last weekend, and were treated both times :>)   So thanks for that! Pam and Mark did a flying visit on Sunday and that got Mum very excited LOL!!! It was nice to see them and it really made Mums day! When I went up yesterday the difference was incredible, she was like an evil demon LOL!

I think  we might be dealing with bipolar, schizophrenia, the lot LOL!!!

Any hoo off to do lots of work, and then have a weekend which we can spend doing up our houselet!

I hope you all have a good week,

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And of course there's the Katie and Peter thing! I do hope they get back together. They are a perfect match :>)

10th May

It's official, last week stank!

I shall fill you in briefly with multi coloured moaning to cheer up your Sunny Sunday morning :>)

We both had colds last week, as you know. Mum was ill so I had to look after her Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday..........She has bronchitis, which we thought she'd also caught from Michael......But oh no! When I came home Wednesday afternoon, I had caught a bug off Mama, and have been in bed ever since!

WAHHHHHHHH! No sleep, no food, trying to work, mostly unsuccessfully. My ribs feel as if they are about to fall off, but thanks to some antihistamines I'm up out of bed and am actually going to do some work today!

Michael has been ill as well, but has been looking after me like a little angel :>)  I just read the swine flue leaflet and I had all the symptons, but seeing as I never get  to Truro let alone Mexico, it's very unlikely that I managed to catch it LOL!!!!

And Jane and Martyn have had a crappy weekend too, so we send our love to them :>)

So very sorry if your orders are a bit late, if I hadn't worked up at Mums earlier this week, I wouldn't have got any thing done!

But enough!

A new week has started and it is Michael's Birthday week :>)

It's on Wednesday and if we're better, we are hoping to go walking and then come home and snuggle up :>)   Not a  massive plan, but we might be able to do it LOL!!!

We have to take Mum to the Doctors on Tuesday for her results, no doubt she'll have had a miraculous recovery and be in her Hello Dolly mode LOL!

We sorted nothing out with social services last week, as we were all ill, and didn't want to pass it on to any of them.

Hope you're all having a better time of it, and haven't caught the cornish pasty flue :>)

Wish me luck, I might even manage to finish off last weeks orders today !

Hoooo Har!!!!!!    Go me!

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

May 3rd

Firstly, we'd like to welcome you to our new-look website!  As you may have noticed, our lovely new logo has been splashed all over the site in the last couple of days; so we thought we ought to let you know what's going on ;o)

The new logo has been designed and painted by the fantastic Finnish artist Linda Peltola; we're absolutely thrilled with the results! :o)

Visit her site here:

Now then, tired of waiting of Peter Jackson and that bloke what made Pan's Labyrinth (don't start us on that!) to decide that they'd actually like to start making The Hobbit, as opposed to just talking about it?  Then try this:

Yup, "The Hunt For Gollum" is completely unofficial (although it does have the blessing of the Tolkien Estate, providing it's not for profit) and it looks rather bloody good.  Sarah's disappointed that the Viggo lookalike playing Aragorn isn't actually Viggo, but then, with a £3000 budget, you can't have everything, can you?  But do take a look, I think it's amazingly well done and can't wait to sit down and watch the whole thing properly!

Once you've finished watching that, then you'll want some nice music to chill out to.  And for that, you can't get better than The Eden House.  You're probably fed up with me ranting about them by now; but the album "Smoke and Mirrors" is out any day now (that is, if you weren't able to buy it at their debut gig or at Whitby) and is a truly hypnotic work of art.  Amazing musicianship, songwriting and dynamics - look out for, in particular, "To Believe in Something", "The Dark Half" and "Trashed Treasure" - the latter being one of the best things Julianne Regan has done in years.  Listen NOW at:  http://www.myspace.com/theedenhouseuk

And of course, the album doesn't come with a stinking cold like the gig did, lol :o)

Michael

Beltane :>)

Hi ya'll!

Me been poorly, nothing flue like or anything like that, just a cold that came form the Eden House gig. Strange seeing as I didn't go, but Michael brought it me back as an extra pressie!

Luckily it didn't start till Tuesday morning, so I was able to go see Ultravox and have a brilliant time!   VERY GOOD, and the music and Midge's voice were just excellent.

All together now.....

Give us, this day, all that you showed me, the power and the glory till my kingdom come :>)

Hehehehehehehe!

So yeah, they were fabulous, and the mix was brilliant, so very, very good. Easily as good as Muse, at the Eden Project, only thing was it was sit down, but most people were standing by the end :>)

We went back to the Travel Lodge and slept till about 2am and then woke up with the lurgy :>(   So I was ready to go home at about 6.30 and we meandered to the station where we came home and I spent the next couple of days in bed :>)

But I feel better today, just as well, as there's loads of work to be done, and I could not sew from my sick bed LOL !

I haven't seen Mum since Sunday, I thought I'd let her calm down a bit, and maybe when she sees me tonight, she'll be able to be nice.......you never know! I also didn't want to give her the cold of course, but she never seems to catch them, she's made from stern stuff !

Have a brilliant Beltane, and enjoy the long weekend. I don't know what we're doing yet, it depends on work, and Michael's poorly as well, so we have to see how he feels.

Have a good one :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

April 26th

Good morning everyone :>)

Now ! I was up early this morning, and did contemplate running the marathon but then I thought NAH!!!! I  think Gordon Ramsay and Katie Price are celebrity enough :>)  Mind you, be nice to meet them :>)

It has been a weird couple of days since I last spoke to you.  We had the service of the social folk, for a few hours, lots of discussion, lots of ideas being flown up the flag pole.   Mike went to go and meet Mama, who was on her BESTEST ever behaviour. Talked a load of nonsense of course, she plays lots of tennis, looks after the neighbours, and cooks her own meals :>)    Oh and she also said that she loves where she lives and has a fabulous family who look after her. ALL her daughters look after her apparently LOL!!!

So we came back and talked some more, I'm not quite sure what the plan is really, but they know what they're doing and that's the main thing. We have loads more meetings lined up and we even get a social worker :>0.

They also told me to stop doing stuff for Mum, but not put her at risk of course, so the nurses, sorry carers....apparently Mother does not like the n word............are taking over the whole lot! Shopping, washing, laundry, everything, and I'm very grateful that they said yes.

I don't know how long this will go on for, but it's a good stop gap, and it means that Mum can get used to being without me, which going by what she told me yesterday will be for the good of all.

But get this!!!!!!

You will not believe what she did last Thursday when the folk came!

She REMEMBERED that they were coming, she actually asked one of the nur.....carers to wash her hair, and was like a completely different person!

Now, when you take in to account that normally she doesn't even know who I am half the time, she can't walk, she has pain every where, she doesn't eat and looks like and acts like she's on deaths door, it makes you wonder don't it ?

I think there have been some games being played, so I'm very pleased that the carers are taking over now.

I went up yesterday to tell her, and she was back to her usual self. Her back and lungs were hurting, she wouldn't eat her lunch, could hardly walk, or breath......... which is a new one on me.......and sat there and insulted me for an hour. I was called a turn coat, stabber of backs, a bitch, an idiot, I should be dead, and to top that off I had awful hair as well!

Well!!! Excuse me!!!!!!

Yes, when the insults were thrown she found enough breath to shout them at me LOL!

I don't think you can get angry with her........But I'm afraid  I do a bit when I get home.......because with the vascular dementia they do have good days and bad. Also she wants to stay in her own home, even though she can't cope any more, and that's perfectly understandable.

It's just, if she can pull it out of the bag for them, you'd think she could try a little harder every day. And of course you have to remember that she enjoys the conflict and arguments, she also enjoys emotionally blackmailing me, which she won't be able to do so much now the carers have taken over.

So all in all a reasonable out come, and Mums future is no longer in my hands, thank the Lord!

Apart from that, we have been working all weekend, Michael managed to catch a stinking cold whilst away, and has turned into a super moaner LOL!!   Better not give it to me!

Off to do some more work, and Mums last shop, as they take over everything from tomorrow !

Freedom at last!  Oh and talking of freedom and stuff we've been thinking about what sort of dog we'll get in the future, it was going to be a collie but now this is the one we've chosen!

They're called Northen Inuit's and they are gorgeous!!!!

Have a good Sunday,

Lots of Love

Sarah

22nd April

Oh dear ! Not such a good day so far :>(

I heard from the nurses that look after Mum this morning, and they came out for a chat. Mother is not keeping her aggression and anger for just me, she was like it with them as well, and they, like me, are very worried about Mum.

They are going to phone Jackie and tell her,  I think they'd like her to come out today, but she's coming out tomorrow any way so it will be sorted one way or another.

It is sooooo  sad, and miserable, nothing I do can change Mums behaviour, but hopefully we can get her assessed in a hospital. I know Mum will hate it, but she's so unhappy and has been for ages. She's almost in her own little world, and when she does come out of it, she just gets angry. I have popped up to see her this morning, after the nurses came, as I wanted to make sure nothing weird was going on. But she was just the same, abusive, angry and sort of away with the fairies :>(

On the good side of things, Michael comes back later today, I'm hoping he's got me a nice pressie :>)  He said the Eden House were brilliant, and that a good time was had by all!

I'm off to fret some more now, and see what's happening with the nurses.

See you later

Love

Sarah

21st April

Peek a boo !!!!

Well, here I am..................... in my own little corner in my own little chair LOL!!!!

Sorry, I have been watching way too much Fran Drescher :>)

Michael is away on his travels, and I am being all lazy :>)   I did pop up and do some tidying and ironing for Mum this morning and was I rewarded for my efforts ?

Hooooo Har!!!

Nope! The insults started flying again, told to piss off AGAIN! I don't know what's going to cheer her up, but it sure 'aint me!

I heard from Jackie yesterday and she and the new guy are coming out on Thursday afternoon, so I'm dreading that !  Worry, worry, worry! Gulit, guilt, guilt !

But I suppose if it were easy we wouldn't need people like Jackie or Social Services. I'm so glad that they're there, and I'm so glad that something is finally going to be decided !

Pugsley news, is rather amusing! He was playing with us last night, and all of a sudden he sprayed on his Daddies arm LOL!!!!! It was so funny!   Definitely all boy if you ask me!

Haven't heard from Michael yet, he said he'd phone when he got there, but no call yet !

I'm off to do some more nothing and watch a bit of Jerry!!!

Catch you later

Love

Sarah

16th April

Guess what ?

Yes I have been busy LOL!!! Who would have thought ?

I did have Easter Sunday off, which was nice as the weather was gorgeous, but apart from that we've been working every day.

It was Mums Birthday yesterday so we took her out for lunch. I was quite surprised as she was very poorly for most of last week, and didn't even manage to come down here on Saturday but I think she must have had a bug or something.  We've had the usual fun and games, this time with keys. She is hiding her keys and locking herself in, ringing us and we have to go up and sort it out for her, then of course she's leaving doors unlocked all night, which is not good, and hiding the keys in weird places all around the house!

Yesterday, I think she had a good day, but she wanted to get a job, as she needed lots of money!  So I told her not to worry, but she was pretty determined, I hope she's changed her mind today! Then she was furious because Pam and Jane weren't here, and then started shouting at me about where Sarah was!  I was like, I AM SARAH!!! LOL!!!

I spent the WHOLE day with her and was exhausted by the end of it LOL!!!!  The mood swings were amazing and one minute she was being nasty and telling me to piss off, next minute she was cross because I was getting up to go, and then tears because she didn't want me to go!

It's a crazy world I tell you!

Still, I think we did the best we could, and I'm pleased that she was able to go out.

Still no word from Social Services, but that should be next week! They have to sort something out soon, else I will be costing the NHS a fortune in anti depressants LOL!!!

I was very spoilt yesterday as Rachel and Diane sent me some beautiful flowers!  They were a great surprise, and at first I thought they were for Mum, from Jane or Pam, but they were for me :>)  So I felt  a very lucky  girl :>)

We took Muppy back to the vets as well, and she's put on weight, but she has now got an allergic reaction to the thyroid tablets. We did another blood test and should hear by Friday if we can lower the dose, which will make the eczema better ! Cats !!!! Who'd have 'em LOL!!!!

We'll be working all weekend as Michael is going up the the big city on Tuesday to see the Eden House!  I shall be staying here of course, I think I might do some painting if I manage to finish all the work. A couple of non days would be good, but that depends on mum of course! It is impossible for me to have days off from her, as she needs so much attention!

Pugsley news, our little baby boy is turning into a man LOL!!!!   He started last week, and we now have the cutest little guy in the world, who now growls.....such a strange and wonderful noise :>)...........that's if you try and pick him up from his playpen! He has started marking his territory, and actually lunged at Michael yesterday and bit him!!!! So he's turning into the evil bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail LOL!!!!

But we still love him!  We have to wait a few more weeks, for his little bits to grow so then the vet will have something to hold on to when he gets done LOL!!!!!!

Anyways, I hope you all had a lovely Easter, it's over so quickly, but we have a couple of long weekends coming up next month !

Have fun!

Lots and lots and lots of Love

Sarah

9th April

Hi Guys :>)

Long time no see as they used to say LOL!

It's been crazy as always. We had a brilliant day off, and the Witch Museum was looking fabulous. Some new exhibits and it was all sparkly and clean, and fresh :>)

We came back Sunday and as soon as we did, we got a call from the lady who runs the local shop!  Mum had been found lost and confused outside the old school, and so they had brought her back home.   Came to find out that she had refused food from the nurses that day, so her blood sugar was probably all to cock. The lady was telling me to make sure that Mum ate properly....which I do know :>)........... So I tried to explain that Mum has the vascular dementia as well as diabetes, so things are not that simple, but she wouldn't listen.

Now every time we go to the local shop, if she's there, she's going on about Mums diet, in front of everyone, as if it was our fault :>(

Of course it was the day that the shop came so it looked as though Mum had no food in the house, because the shopping hadn't arrived by then !! Bloody sods law!

So I spent the rest of Sunday looking after mum who was acting real weird and nasty, we thought she had another infection as she had a temperature, so we gave her lots of liquids and paracetemol and told her to keep the fire off, but she refused and told me to piss off in the end, so I did :>(

We had Jackie out again on Monday, she's the psychiatric nurse, and Mum was extremely vile to all of us, and it's pretty clear that her new tablets aren't working. So we have another assessment being done in a coupe of weeks, to see what we can do. Apparently there is a thing called guardianship, which we might be able to use, if not, it's up to Social Services and we don't really want that to happen :>(

The poor Nurses are going through it as well, as she's refusing everything, and is putting herself at risk by not doing the simplest of things.

Other than that it's just the normal abuse, and death threats and wishing she or I were dead. She wanted to jump off a cliff yesterday! I haven't been sleeping too good as I am worried of course, as you never know what she's going to do next. She wants me up there keeping her company but at the same time all she does is argue and insult everyone! Me, my sisters, the nurses, the post man, the hair dresser, no one is safe from her wrath LOL!!!! But it is mostly me, because of course it's all my fault !

Not quite sure how, but it is!

Anyways, Easter is nearly upon us and Pugsley is getting fat LOL! Like the Goose but fluffier and with bigger ears :>)

Here are the new designs for this month, a bit late but earlier than last months.

Enjoy your time off, not sure what we'll be doing but we are going to try and go for a few walks, and do a bit of relaxing..... chance would be a fine thing!

Thanks to Rachel for our lovely Easter card and chocolate eggies :>)

Happy Easter

lots of Love

April Fools day

Michael has gone April Fools mad, and I keep getting very strange emails, from the local paper, ex boyfriends, and goodness knows who LOL!!!!  I did fall for the first one, it was a blinder,  and I was like,  I'm not having a woman here interviewing me with a load of kids LOL!!!!! Hahahahahaha!!! He's a good one!

In fact he's a very good one, as he has surprised me this weekend and booked for us to spend Saturday night at Boscastle :>) How sweet is that ?

Jane and Martyn will be giving Mum her lunch so I get a day off :>)   Mum has been crazy so far this week, and it was really getting me down.

But now I have Saturday to look forward to, I'm just working like a nutter, and trying to just  accept that Mum is soooooooo loosing the plot. She shouts and screams and throws things and tries to fight with me, I have to just ignore it, but it is NOT easy!

Hah! We have not had the time to do an April Fool joke for you, so here is a picture of a bunny with a bow on his head :>)

Have a good day

Love

30th March

HOLD THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!

Michael and I will  no longer be working at Moonmaiden Towers! We have a new calling!

Wait for it............................

We are going into politics :>)

Yeah that's right ! :>) I've heard that you can even get free porn LOL!!!!!!    And Michael can be my assistant and get paid loads for doing F all and then I could get everyone else to pay for the upkeep of my new house!

Could it get any better ?

Nah. I reckon I'll pay my own way and stay here :>)

It's mega busy here, REALLY busy, and we had to work all day yesterday but are hopeful to get some time off next week :>)

Mama finally started her new pills last night, and though we were on call we were not needed, as the nurse came back twice.  How dedicated is that ?    And this morning she was her usual grumpy abusive self, only a bit worse LOL!!!!   I suppose they'll take time to work, but I hope they start soon!

Abuse first thing on a Monday is not good. :>(

I hope you all had a good weekend, feels like Tuesday to me, but it 'aint.    Michael is enjoying the hour change again this month!   He's going around in shock and fear,  mind you that could be because of Mother!

I think her and the hour change have pushed him over the edge LOL!!!!!

See you later, maybe tomorrow, for April fools if I can think of one:>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

26th March

Hello there :>)

Me very busy, very, very busy :>)   Loads of orders, and not enough time!   But onwards I go.

I am hoping for a day off this weekend, as my one day off last week, was organising  a Mothers day "do" :>)  I'd like a nice day of nothing to do!

Mum is getting better now, and has started eating again Hurrah!!!!!  But as she eats more, she seems to get more angry again :>(   She was furious last night, and seems to think that everyone's out to get her. When all I'm asking her to do is stay in a care home for one week while we get her new bathroom put in.  I'm afraid if she doesn't agree to leave her home we can't put the bathroom in :>(   We had a lady out from the care home we liked on Tuesday and Mum was her usual aggressive, negative self :>(   I don't know how we're ever going to get a  long term break. It's all endless and Mum can't see it from anyone else's perspective, so that's it I suppose!

On a brighter note, look at this picture that someone sent me on Sunday!

So good, even though I'm in it LOL!!!!!!!!

Must away, as loads of work to do, Mum should be starting on her new tablets tonight, so I'm on call incase anything happens, and I have to put her to bed if the nurse can't manage it!  See......it's endless I tell you, she takes up every little bit of spare time we have, and it's not bloody fair!

Back to my machines........

Lots of Love

Sarah

9th March

Well, after the events of the last few days, what better therapy than new designs? :o)  We took these photos this afternoon in the beautiful Kennal Vale, where it still seemed to be autumn!

First, here's the Belladonna Skirt and the as-yet unnamed front-fastening brocade corset:

The Corditea Gown, and Velvet Glovelets:

The Corditea Gown with the Blackflame Bolero:

The PVC Miniskirt and PVC and Cotton Halter Bodice:

The Gown with no name... (yet!)

The PVC Minidress:

Now then, here it is; worn with the Brocade Corset and the Manawydan Bolero, here is THE gothiest skirt EVER!

And just cos we were in a silly/arty mood....

These won't be on sale yet, there's more photos to take still; but we're so pleased with them that we'd thought we'd show them off now! :o)

Hope you like 'em :>) I'm telling you that skirt is THE best thing I have ever made, I'm so pleased with it :>)

And lying down getting covered in leaves was a lot of fun as well :>)

Back to Mum related issues........ She is seeming a bit better today and I think the infection has gone now. She didn't eat a proper lunch today, but she has eaten some grapes which is a very good sign :>)

Now we just have to wait and see what happens. I've been told to let go a little a bit, and to feel less guilty about everything. Which isn't going to be easy, but I'm going to give it a real good try. When I'm told that by the psychiatric nurse, I have to take it seriously and I am.

Thanks for all the emails, and the love :>)

I hope Mum recovers, she's on her way now, and I so hope that the nurses can take real good care of her, and that life gets just that bit easier from here on in.

Lots of Love

Sarah and Michael

18th March

So, I think it's official, the world has gone barking mad, and I'm on the journey as well :>) Got the ticket, and am on the train, and  just looking for the place to get off.

The Psychiatric nurse came out today, and she was really helpful, tried her best and yet everyone's hands are tied :>(  It doesn't seem to matter if Mum has dementia, it certainly doesn't matter if she's not capable of looking after herself in any way.  As it stands it's still up to Mum to make the final decision if she wants care or not.

So what does that tell you about the state of dementia care in this country ?

I'm all for human rights, and independence but when someone is not capable of looking after themselves, who is supposed to make decisions ?

Would it be the me, or the carers or the CPN ?   Or would it be poor old Mum ? Who doesn't know what time of day, month or year it is .

But rules are rules, and we can do nothing.

We are going to be looking into some medication to stop her anger, but we don't know if she'll be able to take that with all the stuff she's on.

Then the CPN is going to see if we have any other options, you never know I suppose.

And if all else fails, we just have to wait until Mum gets really ill, and then they'll come in and take over :>(   Don't you think that's just sooooooo wrong ?

I'm not blaming anyone, just the system itself.

Mum is still ill at the moment, and is very down and sleepy, and although I thought she'd eaten lunch today, turns out she left most of it, as it's in the fridge. I asked her if she was hungry and she told me she's not going to eat if she can help it :>( That's just not normal is it?

We also took Muppy to the vets today, and though she's better she has to stay on her heart pills for the rest of her life, and they are going to up her thyroid tablets, but at least she's going to be Ok :>)

So work is still being done, a bit slower than usual but I'm still going for it :>)  Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so if we can, we're going to take some pics, besides looking after Mum of course!

All those new designs are ready to go, and it seems a shame for them to be just sitting around, and besides it's a good distraction!

Sorry to give such a moan, but I am totally fed up, and I don't know what's going to happen.

I'm off to try and get some sleep.

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

Tuesday 17th March

Hellooooo :>)

Well, now, when my last update ? Seems like ages ago, but it was only on Sunday LOL!!!

But I give you the info, and if I share the bad I should share the Ok as well :>)

I took Mum to the Doctors on Monday, and they gave us some more antibiotics and some gel for her eyes. They didn't seem overly worried about her not eating or drinking stuff, but they were very surprised that she hadn't been given enough tablets by the hospital!

So basically I'm up there first thing in the morning to get her out of bed and try to give her breakfast, and try to get her to drink something. leaving notes for the nurses like nobodies business, and then they do lunch and then I give her tea and make sure she's Ok and then put her to bed.

Like I said, the nurse thing isn't working, it's not their fault, but changes in the care rules have left people who are suffering from dementia, very  vulnerable. Even on the BBC news today the care homes are being warned about the dangers of looking after people with dementia, and the fact that if the carers don't know how to deal with it, there are going to be massive problems in the future.  The nurses hands are tied because they can't "make" them do a thing, I was better at looking after Mum because I suppose I didn't have to worry about being sued or anything ridiculous like that!

But remember I couldn't do it anymore because of her aggression and total refusal of anything I asked her to do.   So we got the nurses in, and she's doing exactly the same thing, and it's made things worse.

I hope we do have a light at the end of this dark tunnel though. We phoned the Psychiatric nurse yesterday and she's coming out tomorrow.

Let's face it, doctors, nurses, even the people who work in the hospitals, can't really deal with someone who doesn't have any short term memory, constant confusion, and is very aggressive. it takes a specialist really, and that's who this nurse is. She understands how we've tried every option, we've gone to extreme lengths to make sure she got to stay in her home, but it's just not working. When  she's a danger to herself, and can't understand why food and drink are important, I think we only have one option left.

I'm sure it will take a while, but we do need a break, it would be good for both Mum and me. She's not sleeping, I'm not sleeping, there is a constant worry, and as Mum gets worse, she's in more danger.

I know I can't  take one more suicide threat, I can't take any more emotional blackmail, and when they do find some where for her to go, she might not be happier, although I don't think she can be any more miserable, at least we know she'll be safe, and well looked after.

I wouldn't wish this mess on my worst enemy, it takes years to sort out, endless days of worry, and I know that we're not the only family is this situation. There are thousands of families like this, and it really does have to be sorted.

That's my rant over, I'm still working hard, still very busy thank goodness. If I didn't have Moonmaiden, I truly think I would have gone mad myself by this point :>) Michael has been brilliant as always, he is so patient and understanding with mum, but he finds it very difficult, when Mums favourite pass time is insulting me!

I'll let you know what happens tomorrow, I'm not expecting instant results but I am expecting a helpful resolution.

Lots of Love

Sarah

Sunday 15th March

I am knackered!

I don't know what to do about Mumsie, she's still extra confused and it's getting awkward to leave her. I did manage a little bit of gardening today, but I went up to do Mums garden and she was acting so weird that I stayed there all afternoon, and I was up there first thing this morning as well. I don't know if the nurse thing is working really, it's not their fault, as I said no one can make her do anything she doesn't want to, but things like eating and drinking are so important at the moment, and she's refusing to do anything that the nurse's suggest.

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow, so I hope they can give me something for her to eat, and check to make sure that the infection has cleared up.

Mind you she's still ranting and raving, but that seems to be the only thing she can do :>(

Pugsley is cheering us up though :>) We took him outside in his cage, seeing as it was such a beautiful day, and it was all bit too much for him!  It was all too big, too blue and the sun was to yellow LOL!!!!  So back in he came ! We're going to put him in his play pen in a mo, we've got him a bunny tunnel and a matt with carrots attached that he can throw about! He loves it!

I'm off to relax with a lager now, and hope things get better tomorrow!

Love

Sarah

Saturday 14th March

Hi ya'll!!!

I know, I should have done a whitterings before, but alas I have been rather busy!   Besides the fact that the orders were of almost Halloween proportion ............... ie VERY busy...........Mum was also very naughty the entire week, very aggressive and so argumentative!  Then Thursday night the nurse phoned to say she was not herself, so we went up to see mum and we had to call an ambulance. She was burning up, practically hallucinating and had a pain in her side.   Turned out it's a kidney infection, and that took a good few hours at the hospital, and we got back at 2 in the morning! Mum stayed in over night, as she was too poorly to come home :>(

They didn't want to keep her in the next day, which was a shame , but they said because of her confusion they were worried that it would make things worse, so they decided she'd be better off at home. So I have spent the rest of my time looking after her.  Jane and Martyn sat with her a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, so I could finish off some orders, but the rest of the time it's been me and Michael.

I can't get her to eat anything and she's hardly drinking either, so I'm taking her to the doctors on Monday and see what they advise. I have got some complan in, and I did manage to get her to drink half a cup of that but she hasn't eaten properly since about Tuesday, and I'm sure that's not helping matters. It's such a worry but she says she's just not hungry, we even tempted her with some fish and chips at lunch but she seems to be finding it difficult to swallow :>(

I don't know what to do really, but I just keep trying to get her to drink lots of fluids, but she doesn't even want to do that. But no one can force another person to eat or drink.

So another hectic week here at Moonmaiden Towers. Muppy is still on the mend and is putting  weight on and back to her usual Muplet self :>) So that's one thing we don't have to worry about !   Pugsley is growing like a fern and is loving himself so much! He is GORGEOUS!!!!

So I'm off up to check mum, I left her for an hour this afternoon so she can have a snooze, and I had one as well! I'm knackered!   I'm no good at late nights, and still have to catch up on my sleep!

I hope you're all having an excellent weekend, fingers crossed if the weathers nice next week, we can take some pics of new designs. But that depends on how Mum is as well.  I'm hoping she'll be better soon though, after the antibiotics start working and she starts eating!

I must away,

Love you lots!

Sarah

Friday  6th of March

Helloo!!!!

Well, it's been a busy week :>) But Muppy is getting better at last!!! She hasn't been to the vets since Tuesday and it looks like the thyroid tablets are finally working!  So we can breath a sigh of relief :>)

Talking of tablets, we've been having fun with the cats :>)  Legolas has  one every day to maintain his urinary health. Muppy's on loads but has 3 in the evenings, and poor Strider is feeling all left out :>(   So every evening  we  do Muppy first, Legolas waits patiently for his and then Strider waits for his pretend one as well LOL!!!!!!  Bless him!   He didn't want to be the odd one out :>) We  very carefully use the pill dropper, with nothing on and then give it to Strider who now feels just as important as the others!

Are we nuts ?   Yup!

It's still all a bit strange sorting out Mums funding! We got a letter yesterday saying that they were changing her carers and that a district nurse would be doing it instead ! So I was like, right, I don't think so, we are very happy with the people we have at the moment, and we do not want anything changed!

So I phoned them today and turns out that they were only altering the med prompting bit which "was" ...that's "WAS" being funded, but that has been  stopped since she starting needing more care................ make any sense to you ? No, me neither LOL!!!!!    Anyhow it's all worked out for the best as we can keep our carers, and there's no change for Mum which is very important!  Change is NOT good for Mum!

Here's some info about a TV show that's on soon......

TV Wedding Competition!

New series for Living TV called ‘Four Weddings’, we are looking for brides-to-be that are getting married between April and June of this year that might be interested in taking part.

Not only is this a fun experience for the brides, each episode one of the four couples will win an amazing Honeymoon (this doesn’t need to be taken immediately, so it doesn’t matter if they already have a honeymoon booked).

I wondered if you would be able to forward on the below information to anyone that you know who is getting married or pin the information on a notice board.

If they are keen all they need to do is email their details to: kerry.plant@itv.com or call:

020 7157 3809 and I can give them further information about the show.

I now must away, loads to do, and the weekend approaches :>)

Have a good one,

Lots and lots of love

Sarah

More Muppy news :>)

She went to the vets this morning and they said that she is looking a lot better since the fluids were removed, so we have to keep on with the tablets, keep an eye on her breathing, and hopefully she won't have to go back to the vets for a few weeks, which she is very happy about :>)

So it looks like we're over the worst and she's on the road to recovery at last :>)

Hurrah for the Muplet :>)

We're still trying to sort out Mums financial stuff, but I think we're getting there. It's taking ages, and it's all very confusing, health have stopped their funding so now we have to pay for all of it, but only for a few weeks, and then apparently we'll get funding, but it's a real weird way to do it if you ask me.

Work wise, it's mega busy this week, and I've been working late trying to get it all done. But I finally finished all the samples last Sunday night, so we'll be taking the pics soon, and then give you all a sneaky preview.

Now a favour to ask you :>)

Do any of you know, or are any of you a talented artist ?

Thing is we're sponsoring the Fairy Fest this year, and we'll be doing a fashion show :>) So we thought it would be nice to have a Moonmaiden based fairy logo type thing to print on some tops.

If you do know a good artist, or you are one, send us an email and we'll tell you more details!

Thank you!

Now I'd best get on with sewing,

Lots if Love

Sarah

1st March

More Muppy news I'm afraid :>(

She took a turn for the worse this afternoon, and we took her to the emergency vets. Her breathing went all funny again, so we knew something was up, and the vets had told us to keep an eye out for it.

They drained a lot of fluid off her lungs, poor little thing ,and now they've kept her in and she's in a little cubicle with oxygen being fed into it.

I don't understand how the fluid built up again so quickly as she's on tablets to get rid of the water, but it's not looking good.  If it carries on building up, then there's not much they can do, but we're hopeful that she'll feel better now that some of the fluid has gone, and that she can come home tonight. There's a risk that she could just collapse so they reckoned it was better to keep her there, and monitor her.

So as you can imagine, I'm feeling very sad tonight, and I just want her to come home and be well again, but I think the next couple of weeks, are going to be very worrying. We have to get the thyroid under control before her lungs and heart give up.

She was getting so much better the last few days, and now she's ill again. We haven't gone any where this weekend, as we've been on Mup watch, and  it's a bloody good job we were.

I hope you've all had a good weekend, I'll let you know when we hear any news.

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well it's just gone 10 now, and she's home :>)  They said that it might happen again, but they don't really know. I hope that's the last of the scary stuff now, and that she can continue to get better.

When we drove her home just now, she started purring and got all excited when she saw our house-let :>)

She certainly is a fighter, I know the vets were worried today, but she's still Muppin' on :>) That's our muppy for you :>)

Off to give her lots of love

Love Sarah

26th February

Another day another Mup-Date :>)

Well, she survived the night and has had lots and lots of tablets, and she's feeling a bit better!!!!

Hurrrrrrrrah!!!!!!!

She's had water and tuna, so she must be better LOL!!!!

Poor little mite, she was so uncomfortable last  night, and she slept in with us, but it was not easy for her to get in a position where she could breath and sleep at the same time :>(

So hopefully we're over the worse, and she can keep on getting better and better and better! :>)

Thanks ever so much for all her get well messages, I hope she'll be alright now, and get some sleep today. She needs lots of sleep and a lot of quiet and lots and lots of love!

Now, what is it I do around here ?

Oh I know............ WORK!!!!!

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

Oh a scary day :>(   Poor Muppy is very poorly.  She went to the Vets last week, and they thought she had a chest infection so she had antibiotics.   She got a bit better and then this morning she was really poorly again, so we took her straight back to the vets and they had a good look at her, and said that her heart rate was so fast that she could suffer heart failure if they didn't sort it asap.   So they took some blood and are phoning us back as soon as they can to find out what's wrong with her.   Poor little Muppy she got in such a state in the car, and we thought that's why she was panting so much, but they think she might have Hyperthyroidism, which is serious if not diagnosed, but they can control it with tablets, and they are going to give her beta blockers to slow her heart down :>)

She is ever so thin, and we thought that was just old age, but it all comes together now, so I hope it is hyperthyroidism, and nothing scarier. She's also always had a very fast metabolism, so she could have had this for a while, and we didn't even know it!

So I'll let you know when they get back to us.

We have the financial assessment lady coming out tomorrow so I hope we get good news from them. I think Mum should be helped out quite a bit really, because she can't help having no short term memory and she really does have to have the help. I heard from the nurses today and they're coming out an extra hour as from next Friday to clean up the house for her, which will be excellent and saves her getting angry with me when I do it :>)

On bunny news, the play pen has arrived and he is in it as we speak LOL!!!!  He's getting very good with his litter box now, and is still getting cuter and cuter :>)

Samples wise, I think we might have gone a bit mad LOL! I did loads last Sunday and have a few more still to make!   I am in love with the stretch PVC but boy is it difficult to put on and take off :>) Not as bad as latex though, I got a skirt a few years back and it ripped as I put it on :>(   I was not happy, but this looks really good on, and does not rip, but it does have to be nice and tight LOL!!!!! No one wants saggy PVC Hehehehehe!

I'd best get on with work now, and stop worrying about my Muplet.  I'm sure she'll be Ok, and back to her normal self in no time :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Muppy update.

We had to rush her to the vets again, her breathing was very bad :>( But they had her results and she does have the hyperthyroidism. The only problem is they have to clear the fluid off her lungs, slow her heart rate and control the thyroid, so it's a bit of a worrying time at the moment.  We're on 24 hour watch and if she gets any worse she has to go the vets. We have an emergency one just up the road, so we're lucky as far as that goes.

I feel really guilty about not noticing all this sooner, but the vet said that cats are very good at hiding illnesses, and she was at the vets 6 months ago, and nothing was picked up then either, so I guess it's just one of those things.

I hope she'll be alright, it's just a dangerous time at the moment. As long as her heart lasts for the next few days she should be alright, and the tablets should kick in soon, which will help her and make her breathing easier. At least we got her to the vets in time.

Off to give her lots of love and tuna :>)

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Another Muppy update :>)

She wouldn't eat her tuna, which is a bad sign, but her breathing does seem to be getting a little better. She's hiding in the spare room, at the moment but we did the counting thing that the vet told us to do with her breathing and she has slowed down, which I think is a positive sign.

Be a bit of a restless night I think, but if she keeps going on like she is, I reckon she's going to be Ok :>)

Fingers and paws crossed :>)

love Sarah

Can you tell I'm worried ? I keep coming no here to share, makes it seem better some how :>)

22nd February

Boing, boing boing!!!!

Spring is in the air, there's a bunny in the house and all's well with the world :>)

Pugsley is still extremely cute, in fact he's getting cuter! He keeps sleeping in his cage with his little back legs sticking out, and they are super cute too LOL!!!! He's like a ball of fluff with a nose!

We have a bunny play pen coming for him soon, and no doubt he'll be kinda cute in there as well! The cats are so good with him, I can be brushing him no the sofa and they just look at him, like he's not real or something LOL!!!! ...They think he's a toy!

It's new designs day here at Moonmaiden, and I've done quite a few already! The new long satin ruched and gathered skirt is AMAZING! I've gone and shocked me self again :>)   And the brocade front fastening, boned corset, with eye lets up the back, is pretty impressive as well :>)

Today a few more regular designs to do, and some stretch PVC to play with :>)  Oh yes! I'm thinking leggings,  and tight skirts and tops, so I shall be making them today :>) We've also done a couple of new bolero's and we're incorporating the brocade and braid into some gowns and tops so it's all going to be exciting and new for this year!

Then we'll need a sunny day to take the pics, but it's been lovely here all week, proper Spring weather :>)

A big thank you to Rachel for the lovely fairy she sent me, and the bunny doughnuts she sent for pugsley :>) xxxx

I hope you've all had a good weekend, last week flew by, and now I'm already on this weeks cut list!  'Tis never ending I tell you :>) But I like being busy, a busy Sarah is a happy Sarah :>)

I must fly

Lots of love

Sarah

Friday the 13th  WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Hi Ya'll :>)

What a busy, busy  week :>)  Just finished work I think, and hopefully new designs will be made on Sunday!

But first I must introduce you to the new addition here at Moonmaiden :>)

Here he is............ A lionhead rabbit other wised known as the cutest animal of all time ;>).......

Now is he cute, or is he cute ?

He's very shy at the moment, but we did manage a cuddle and a brush, so he's getting used to us slowly!

Jane and Martyn are coming tonight to meet Pugsley... for that is his name.....we're not really sure if he is a boy, but Pugsley will do for the moment :>)

We had social services out this week, and the lady was very helpful, and the assessment should be soon :>)   Mums getting used to the nurses and the nurses are getting used to Mum :>)   It's not easy as it's a change for Mumsie, and she has been getting very confused this week, and then she's back to her usual bad tempered self!  We're taking her out tomorrow for lunch and then Michael and I are going out tomorrow night :>)

I hope you all have a fabulous Valentines Day, and enjoy your weekend ;>)

Pugsley is SOOOOOO cute, he's a bit of a distraction really :>) His ears, his nose, his little tail..........Even his poo's are cute LOL!!!!

Catch you later

Lots of love

Sarah

Happy Valentines Day for tomorrow xxxxxx

7th February!

We're back!!!!!

We survived Cannibal Farm!!!!! :>)

Oh dear oh dear!!!!! LOL!!!

We had an excellent time, but it was so cold and freezing and snowy and blizzardy and well, it's just amazing that we made it home today!

When we got there, we were shown our little self catering cottage and it was below zero, I am not joking, so they put the heating on, and then 10 minutes later it went off again :>0!   So we asked for them to sort it out and they said it was boiling hot...........It was not!!!!..........So we asked if they could raise the temperature again,  they sort of agreed to it, and it went off again!!!!!!!   I'm telling you, it was below zero, and they would not alter those bloody radiators!

The other amazing feature of this wonderful place was it actually had a coin meter for the electric!!!!!!!!!!

Not the best one armed bandit we'd ever met , as it was a £1.00 a play and that lasted for about an hour LOL!!!!! It was so funny!!!!! :>)

Then the snow started, and went on and on till the next morning!

But that night was an experience never to be had ever again......EVER LOL!

The bedrooms were so cold you could see your own breath, and night attire for me was a nightie, leggings, socks, a top and my beanie hat!!!! LOL!!!! It was friggin' freezing, and even Jane's cat got cold and he has a very warm fluffy coat LOL!!!!

Yesterday lots of fun was had with the aforementioned snow, but we soon realised that if it didn't stop soon, we were never going to escape Cannibal Farm :>)

Off for another freezing nights sleep.................

Then this morning, we were all there shoveling snow from a 4ft snow drift, whilst in blizzard conditions and a thunder storm!!!! Hilarious or what ?

And that was just to get to the gate!

But we escaped and thanks to Martyn's 4 by 4 and excellent driving we are alive to tell the tale :>)

Why do we call it Cannibal Farm you ask ?   Well, the mad owner kept going on and on about the lovely pub in the village........that we never got to, seeing as we were snowed in :>).............. and he was boasting about a 32oz T bone steak! We didn't feel comfortable telling him that we were all vegetarians........  and he had a very hungry look in his eye LOL!!!!

This morning I kept saying if we don't escape we'll be eaten, we'll be eaten!!!!! LOL!!!! But that gave us the extra drive to go dig ourselves out!!!!

Would I go there again ? NEVER AGAIN!   Even the visitors book was slagging off the owner :>(   We made no entry in that particular tome, we thought our silence was the best response!

But what got me, was that they live on the Moors, they know all about it I should think, and that WE had to get ourselves out of there!

They tried to help a bit, but it sort of made things worse, Martyn had to dig the farmer's tractor out of the snow, and when the snow was cleared we had to help lift this monster pallet which had been left in the middle of the lane by the tractor, that had got stuck previously in the snow!

Tut tut tut!!!!

And they were very rude as well LOL!!!! So we got all sarcastic back!   Jane and I wondered the 1/4 of a mile down to the gate, in a blizzard,  offering to help and they said "Have you got shovels" ?    So I said " No we didn't pack any of those",  in my poshest voice. LOL!!!!

So they said there's one by the gate, and one in the barn. Back we trundled the 1/4 of a mile up hill, in the blizzard, to be confronted by about 6 gates, no spades, and one barn! We found them eventually in the barn and skidded back to the main gate to get rid of the snow LOL!!!!!

That's when the thunder storm started and I jumped out of my skin!!!!!  At first I didn't know if was the electric fence gone awry , then I thought, no that's lightening, then this god awful thunder clap, right over head, Jane said I flew up in the air and hid behind the wall :>) LOL!!!! I was worried about my metal bits on my New Rocks :>)   By the way, THE best boots if you want to walk in ice and snow!

Fantastic!...... If you like that sort of thing Hehehehehe.

Our car is still there.......I hope they don't eat that :>)

Here's some more pics, one of the coldest, hard working, but best-est holiday we've had in years!

The tail end of the blizzard...

The cottage next door...

The sky begins to clear...

The big white line between the ground and sky is Dartmoor; one of the few places that got blizzarded worse than us!

Yesterday evening; the moon, moors, snow, and three cold travellers (and one cold photographer!)

Back to the ... ahem.... "warmth" of the cottage...

Martyn, about to build an igloo...

Martyn again, the only one brave enough to trudge the mile to the nearest shop... he melted the snow with the lasers from his magic gloves!

Sarah, wondering if perhaps she shouldn't have put something warmer on...

Next year:

Benidorm....

...nah, this is more fun!

5th February

Yayyy!!!!!!   The snow has gone, no doubt they'll be some on the wild and windy Moors, but that's Ok!

I don't have to worry about Mum as the nurses are doing a fine job, and we're back on Saturday anyways LOL!!!! We never go far and we never go for very long ;>)

I have finished all the orders, I worked really hard and late the last few days, and it's already looking very busy for next week, so we'll probably have to work this weekend, but I don't mind!

I'm still waiting to make some more new stuff, but with one thing another, I just haven't had the time!

It's Jane's Birthday tomorrow, and we'll be celebrating it with a quick walk on the Moors and a tasty lunch in the nearest pub!  And if it gets too snowy, Martyn has his 4 wheel drive so we shan't get stuck LOL!!!!

Have a good week

Lots of love

Sarah

4th February

Well, I never thought I'd say such a thing, but no more snow please!!

Sods law or what ?

The nurses were supposed to take over from me on Monday and thanks to the snow, they couldn't do it ! Mum was in super evil mode and yesterday was another day from hell! I had to go up through the snow countless times, and every time she was like something so evil it would have sent Edgar Allen Poe running to the hills in fear :>) I have never known anything like it! I don't know what's got into her, but it's terrible!

Today they are coming to do their stuff, so I am hiding inside my little house-let all day!  I shall not see the exorcistic creature at all, and I WILL get my work done :>)

Tomorrow we're supposed to be going onto the Moor for a couple of nights, but bugger me, if more snow isn't forecast!!!! So we'll have to wait and see, and if we can't go, we can't go :>(

I hope you've all enjoyed the snow, I have sort of, it looks so pretty and I love walking in it, but it couldn't have been at a worse time. The cats loved it, apart from Muppy, who didn't want to go out in it at all. She's such a cutey!   We had to put her out to do her ablutions, and she was out and back inside like lightening LOL!!!!!

I must away, loads of work to do before  tomorrow, and really all I want to do is sleep :>)

Have a good week,

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

30th January!

God I'm so sorry guys! I haven't, honestly had time to update stuff on here! It's been so hectic with one thing and another, that I haven't known which way is up! :>)

So here's what's happening!

Mother's is NOT going in to a home, she changed her mind again, and has indeed changed it about a million times since then! So what we have arranged is for some wonderful, kind ladies to come in and take over from me!

So Mum stays in her own home with all the care she needs, and the nurses will make sure she takes her meds, heat her lunch, do her washing and just general tidying and that will free me up to do all the other things. We can finally go back to being mum and daughter, and she might even start being nice to me again :>)  ........Well you never know!

She has been a total monster the last few weeks, the worst she's ever been, and she's been ever so nice with the nurses!  They went and had a chat with her about them coming in some more and she was really happy about it all, but when I went up there, she shouted at me for a full hour telling me she doesn't need them, wishes she was dead, wishes I was dead  etc etc!  But it's been like this for months now, so I don't think it's about the nurses or about a care home, it's just something she does, and that's how she deals with her anger, she takes it out on me and no one else.

That's why we need things to change, and that's why the nurses are a life saver!

They start on Monday!!!! I can't wait!!!!!

Back to workie things now! I do run a business you know LOL!

I haven't even touched my mega gothic skirt yet, so that's still in pieces :>(  But I have got some gorgeous new fabric!!! It's total yummy, and it's called coutil! We've got a plain one and a brocade one, and it's just so posh LOL!!!!! I've also got some hooks and eyes and am going to attempt to make a front fastening corset with the new fabric! So I'm very excited about that!!! And hopefully with the extra time I'll get, I'll be able to make them soon.

It's very busy order wise, and I'm a little behind because of all the Mum stuff to organise, but I should catch up next week, so no orders will be late :>)

I think that's about it!

I must fly, loads of orders to do :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

19th January

Ah dear!

If we have to go see any more homes, or ring them, or google them, or CSCI them, we might just burst LOL!!!!

But it has to be done and today I saw a lovely one :>)  Also saw a lovely one yesterday and we're off to see another one tomorrow!  I now have 3 jobs.......Moonmaiden, Mums carer, and Care home assessor!!! LOL!

They are all so different, but the one today had en suite......a proper bath room :>) .................. really nice sized room with fab views over the boating lake......... well it's just a swan and duck lake now :>)

YES! They can happily take Gimli, and I liked it because it was more part of the village that it's in, and there would be lots for Mum to look at. There were 4 lounges to choose from, or she can stay in her room of course!  Only one problem, and that's the price :>0. But I'll ring the owner tomorrow and find out!   All the homes vary from about 400 to 900 pounds a week, so I'm hoping this one isn't the top end of the market!

So my initial fears of care homes, have gone away, and I'm very happy  to say they're not like they used to be at all :>) Fear of the unknown I suppose, and we have to make sure we get it right first time, as Mum won't be wanting to move around lots.

I'm hoping to take Mum around to our top 3 this weekend, and then see which one she likes the best. I'm really happy with the one today though, perfect if you ask me! :>)

I'd best way as I have to report back to Mum:>) Then who knows I might even get a decent nights sleep, I'm so tired, haven't slept properly for days!

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

18th January

Weeeeeeeeee :>)   Job done!

We looked over the home yesterday and it was very nice :>)   But not en-suite which was a shame.

But are we downhearted ? No we're not LOL!

Michael and I are now on the search for THE best care home for Mumsie LOL!   It's a bit of a shame that I don't really have a fondness for Old peoples homes, but then who does?

So we've decided to look at as many as we can, pick the top 3 and then Jane and Martyn and of course Mumsie, who'll have the final say, can choose the best one!

I think that sounds like the best idea, and might well encourage me to actually get some sleep tonight :>)

So I'm off to do lots of research and find as many as possible that will take Gimli and are near here! We've already found a few!

Have a lovely Sunday!

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ps... whilst rooting around and looking for a home, we found Tregolls Manor in Truro... we think this might be a bit too much luxury!!!  I mean, they've got a Chauffeur-driven limousine for gawds sake!!!!  But what an amazing place if you can afford it... and want a four course lunch every day (with wine list!!!)   :o)

17th January

OOOOOOOO, BIG day today :>)

We're off to visit the home that Mum likes, we're going first to make sure everything is Ok, and if it is up to snuff...so to speak :>).........we'll be taking Mum tomorrow.

We took her to Newquay yesterday and on the way back showed her where the home was, I think she recognised the place, but she thinks she hasn't lived in St Agnes for over 40 years, which is all very sad :>(  Still, we battle on and I so hope that the home is lovely and nice and friendly and well, everything we need it to be :>)

Jane and Martyn are coming to look as well, so we'll have back up! It's such a big decision to make, that I wouldn't want to make it on my own.

Back to sewing talk now!

I have started a mini version of my mega gothic skirt and it's worked :>)   Truly gorgeous and pretty much fabulous all round LOL! It is panels of satin gauged and then ruched nearer the hemline and it just looks fabulous!   I got the idea from a picture and it is completely over the top, but just looks gorgeous!

I've done it in red satin and I'm going to do the long version in Black. But I had to do the short version first to make sure it worked!......And it sure does :>) Happy Sarah!!!

Oh and a Happy Birthday to Shirin :>)

I'm off to fret some more now, we're not going till this afternoon :>(

Wish me luck!

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

12th January

Hey y'all!!!! :>)

Oh so exciting news!!!! Progress is being made at last :>)   We might have found the perfect place for mum, she likes it, they can take Gimli, it's an en suite room, and it's where she wanted it to be :>)

But I shan't count my chickens yet.......that 'd be none then .............but I have an appointment booked this week to look over the home, and see what it's really like!  Fingers crossed guys!

Mum is actually excited about it!!!!! I mean, I really take my life in my hands when I  go up there and tell her something of huge importance like I told her today, but her eyes lit up and she was interested and well........................... I nearly fainted LOL!!!!!

But like I said, I won't get carried away yet, there's a million and one things that could go wrong, so I'll calm down!

Back to normal now!

We saw THE funniest thing on TV today,  I don't know if any of you are lucky enough to catch the Jeremy Kyle show, but it was so good ! Jezzer was on one of his usual rants at some poor guy............ who sooooo didn't want to be the father of this young ladies child.........And Jezzer got crosser, and the guy was really rude, so Jez came back with

" You wouldn't even know how to spell the word father, let alone know the meaning of the word"

So the young man replied very smugly..

"F A R T H E R!!!!!"

Hehehehehehehehehehe!!

Even Jeremy didn't have an answer for that one LOL!!!!!!

CLASSIC!

So glad you're loving the new designs, I still have my mega skirt to do, I haven't started it yet as it took me all day yesterday finishing off all the orders!   So I'll have to wait till next weekend now.

Have a good week,

Lots of love

Sarah

11th January

Well, they're a little bit late... we'd hoped to get these on at the start of the month, but hey, it still seems like the start of the month (ish), so here you are... new designs!

First, here's the HECATE GOWN !

and now - the GOTHKITTY MINI DRESS!
and the DECARLO CLOAK!

So, only three - but damn good 'uns if we say so ourselves :o)

10th January

Weeeee, tis a moon that is full tonight! She was looking pretty spectacular last night, so she'll be looking fabulous!

I'm still feeling a little bit bleh. I always do this time of year, I'm missing the tree and the lights, so I got myself some yukky lights today, they're orange and pink daisy's, but they were in the sale, so I got 'em!  Think I'll stick them up later :>)

Work is taking so long, I think I'm on a go slow or something LOL!! I can't get my speed up so I have to work tomorrow :>) Still, at least I should finish all the orders in time to start again next week.

Took Mama out today, she was as miserable as she could be, and I think it's rubbed off on me.  It just gets me down, you know ?  She's still asking for care home details, so I've emailed several homes for brochures, but none have bothered replying, so I'll give them a ring Monday....................  Everything takes so long!

So on a more cheerful note, here's some pics of cats and an ice cold sea to cheer me, and anyone else up :>)

Here's the mup in her usual mood :>)

Cuddles for the New year :>)

Is it a cat folded in half :>)

A beautiful sea

What you looking at ?

Oh, and I have come up with the best skirt design of all time :>)   I can't wait to make it, I need to do a lot of experimenting first though, but I reckon it's gonna be THE best skirt of 2009 :>)

Big headed, moi ?

I hope you have a fun weekend, we're not up to much, just a lot of mooching and working ! And Mama looking after of course!

See you later,

Lots of Love

Sarah

7th January

WOW! Is it cold or what ????

Padstow harbour has frozen :>0     AMAZING!!!!   We did think about driving up to see it, but we're rather busy with  the orders and all LOL!!!

No snow to speak of yet. There are some grey clouds sort of floating around in the distance, but I don't think we'll have any :>(

In don't know about you, but I'm finding it hard to get back to this work thing :>)  I just want to hang around doing nothing all day, and eating lots of nuts and twiglets LOL!!!!  Mind you they're all been eaten by now, and only the crappy nibbles are left :>)    Christmas is a strange time, why do we eat such odd stuff ?

Still, I am enjoying the fab weather, it's looking beautiful out there, all the hedges are white and frozen and the sun is shining. So all's well with the world!

I suppose I'd better get on with work........now what is it I do again?

keep snuggly!

Lots of Love

Sarah

I hope that wayward beever is alright in the cold.

3rd January 2009!!!!

Well, that's that then :>)

It's all over, and back to work tomorrow :>)

Our new years eve party went very well, but we couldn't light our lanterns 'cos it was too windy. But I do have a diet tip for you if you want one.   I made a chocolate dessert .........It was EVIL!!!!.......THE most chocolatey thing EVER!........I had 2 spoonfuls and that was enough for me! It was called a chocolate fondant, and it was all spongy on the outside and all runny chocolate in the middle, and it was so chocolatey I thought it was going to be the end of all things!....... It was only melted chocloate, butter and eggs and a bit of sugar but it turned into the dessert from hell.

Perhaps a tad too chocolatey ? :>) I don't like chocolate, so why'd I make it ? DUH!

Everyone else liked theirs, but if you make one for yourself, you won't want to eat anything again for the next 10 years LOL!!!! So it's really good if you want to loose weight Hehehehehehehe!!!!!!

We had a good ol time though, so we're refreshed and ready for another year of work!  We've had loads of orders over the last couple of weeks, so it'll be a busy week, and that always keeps me happy, and out of harms way LOL!

I took Mums and our decorations down yesterday, poor Mum didn't know if she'd had Christmas or not, but I put up her new picture and a few new ornaments and that made her happy!   We went for a quick walk on the beach yesterday to blow all of Michael's germs away, he was so poorly over the new year, all icky and bed ridden so I thought the fresh air would do him good :>)  And then we went to fly his new aeroplane.........I hand launched it, it's a lot faster than his other one, and we were all excited!.........but unfortunately he didn't have it on full throttle and it just fell to the ground and broke it's nose :>)

It's all fixed now, and we're going to try it again later today!

Anyway, Happy New Year to you all :>)   I suppose the spiders with their santa hats will have to go soon :>(

I hope you all had a fab new year, and that you've all made some resolutions that haven't been broken yet LOL! I have made no resolutions this year, as last year I failed miserably, never got to play a zombie, and never even picked up my french for dummies book :>)  So I'll just take this year as it comes and see what happens!

I'm off to do the first cut list for this year, and then I suppose we ought to sort out which new designs are to go on for this month. It's like Christmas never happened ..........except I have lots more clothes in my wardrobe LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!  Do you know I LOVE clothes ? :>)

Catch you later

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

29th December

Helloooo!!!

Well, here I am listening to a good ol' bit of Blackmores Night :>)   Still lots of days off, and right in the middle of the best time of the year !

I hope you had a fab time, we had a brilliant time at Jane and Martyn's, they went to a lot of trouble, and it wasn't easy bringing up Mum and Gimli, but it all went very smoothly LOL!!!

A few little spats, a bit of growling and hissing, but it all went very well! And the cats behaved themselves as well!!! Hahahahahaha!!! only kidding!

We were all totally spoilt, there were presents all round, way to much food, and a good time had by all!

We went to the Meadery last night for Robert's Birthday and that was very nice as well!  But I ate too much again! I ordered the small portion as well, but still couldn't eat it all!

I'm planning my New Years eve do now. I'm going to make it a wiccan new year. So I'm going to have fun making up some new wiccan recipes, and today I'm going to make lots of glittery sparkley moons to decorate the house with..........I know, and no I have nothing better to do with my time!!!!!!  It keeps me busy LOL!......... fireworks of course and we've got some lanterns to set off into the night sky, so that should be pretty impressive.

Anyways, I hope you're all enjoying yourselves, and keeping warm. I must away now as Mums lunch to do......no rest for the wicked LOL!!!!

Lots of Christmas love

Sarah

23rd December

Yayyyyyyyyyyyy:>)   We finished work !

A bit of a close run thing at the end there, but it's all done and everything has been posted and the velvet and machines have been put away till next year!    We even managed to do our Christmas shop last night, so we have a quiet-ish day, and then tomorrow we're off out for lunch and walking :>)   We have the nurse out this afternoon, so Mum has to decide what she wants to do next, no easy decision, and I'm sure it will all be very difficult, but it has to be done.

So I shan't really feel relaxed until the nurse has gone, and then Christmas can start proper!

I'm been cheering myself up by the medium of Blackmore's Night chistmas CD, it is soooooo good, she has such a beautiful voice :>) Why people want to listen to some screaming harpy butchering a classic Leonard Cohen song, when you've got that to listen to I do not know LOL! It's a strange world indeed.:>)

I have lots of wrapping presents to do, and then an early night! I'm knackered after working so much, do you know I was actually sewing late into the night and then up at 7.30 sewing again ?????  I mean that's soooo not like me LOL!!!!!   I am not a morning person at all!

But we got it all done and that's what counts.

So we wish Bon Voyage to Maggie and Steve!

A good to hear you're feeling better to Rachel!

And a very happy Christmas to everyone :>)

Have a good one,........drink too much, eat too much and do lots of relaxing!!! You deserve it :>) LOL!!!

Lots and Lots and lots of Love

Sarah and Michael

17th December

Yeah, A week today it's Christmas eve :>)

We're hoping to go out for a nice long walk, and a spot of lunch before we take Mum up to Jane and Martyn's ! I can't wait!

I've got a fair bit of work to do before then though, last post is on Saturday but we have our courier who's posting up till Christmas Eve, so we'll be working for while yet.  I don't mind though, it's all part of lifes rich tapestry!

It's a bit rushy, but you know, if we're not busy now, when would we be ?

We haven't been doing much else, other than working really, so no exciting news here!  Not that there ever is LOL!!!!!

Mum is very uppy and downy at the moment, and sometimes just plain weird, but I'm used to that!  There are strange things going on again, which is nice, and just gets me so confused, but fingers crossed it'll get sorted next year :>)

I hope that you're all looking forward to Christmas, and that it's not getting too stressful! :>) If you're not quite in the Christmas spirit yet, and need a good film to get you in the mood, try watching Predator!!! We did and it worked really well LOL!!!!!!!!

I'd best away as it's going to be another late night, sewing away!  If I had a candle I'd be like Scrooge :>) LOL!!!

Lots of Love

Sarah

12th December

Cor blimey guv'ner :>)

What a day, and it's not lunch time yet!    I'm having lots of congratulations on getting married emails LOL!!!!!

I set up our Myspace, and Michael set up Face book, and accidentally set my status as single. So yesterday he altered it to married and now people think I've just got married LOL!!!!!!   Ah dear, he wished me a happy honeymoon this morning, and when he emptied the bin he scattered dead rose petals all over the kitchen floor.......Romantic or what ????????   LOL!!!!!!

As you know we've been married 16 years, so no need to buy me any presents LOL!!!

Very busy weekend coming up, apart from cards, wrapping and graves, we now have to work!

Keep your orders coming, we'll be working right up till the 23rd, so forget about our usual 10 day turn around, we're on full steam ahead, so no one need miss out on their moonmaiden goodies under the tree!

Have a good weekend, we might even get some snow :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

9th December

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...It's flippin freezing! I've just walked back from Mum's and the wind is sooooooo cold..........Where is the snow ?

Poor Mum's very confused about everything today :>(  But I got her some new lights for her tree yesterday, and they look really nice :>) They're more old fashioned type ones, and look really pretty, so she's happy about that!

We got a little tiny tree for our bedroom as well, and it looks too cute!!! It's an ickle real one, and to be honest, if it were any cuter it might pop!

Most of Mums Christmas shopping I did the other week has gone arse up, because one shop in particular has run out of stuff! But I've re done it and now have everything in hand.......till the next cock up LOL!!!!!

So, as Christmas draw's ever nearer, we'd like to let you know that we'll be working away, right up to the last minute! So don't panic about your Moonmaiden shopping, we never run out of stock, and we guarantee delivery in time for Christmas :>)

I'll be busy working away all week, and then this weekend, it's cards, wrapping and grave time :>) LOL!!!!!  It's a funny old time isn't it ? :>0

Have a good week, and don't let the buggers grind you down!............. If you ask me, there's too many buggers, doing too many grindings LOL!!!!!

Lots of Love

Sarah

7th December

Hey y'all!!!

Oh we cooked yesterday! We made a gorgeous Christmas cake, and topped it with dark chocolate and cream first, and then made a star out of white chocolate and it looked excellent! :>) We also made mini christmas pud muffins, and some mega tasty parmesan and thyme crackers! Delicious!!!!

So the cook off was a success.

Today I  started knitting a new jumper for Michael, a black and green stripey one this time :>)  So had a bit of a lazy day, but ready for work tomorrow :>)

I didn't watch the final of I'm a celeb, 'cos as far as I was concerned when DVD got kicked out, it's wasn't worth watching it anymore LOL!!! Well, I did used to be a Dollar fan :>)

I hope you've all had a good weekend, it's Amy's Birthday tomorrow, so we're out to lunch :>)

Love Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope you're enjoying our spiders with Santa hats :>) xxx

5th December

So here are the pictures that were taken from last night...It was a truly remarkable affair, there were simply hoards of people gathering around.........well me and Michael LOL!!!!

Anyway, they're looking lovely :>)

Not much else on really, the usual with poor mumsie........... not nice at all at the moment :>(.................And just getting on with work really!

Tomorrow I'm having a cook off with Jane, We are making shortbread stars for the tree, little puds, and a Christmas cake. And we're finally going to try and use the pasta thing and make out own pasta!!!  Could be interesting!  Probably be a disaster, but we don't care, it's the doing it that's fun! I don't even like sweet stuff, but I like cooking :>)

I think I've nearly finished all my Christmas shopping, I've done all of Mums and only have a few bits left to get for us. I've spoilt Michael this year, but he deserves it! :>)

So, I'd best get on with work, these velvety  things don't make themselves :>)

Have a good weekend

Lots of love

Sarah

4th December

TONIGHT!!!! IS THE NIGHT!!!!

It is the BIG switch on of the outside lights, at MOONMAIDEN towers :>)

Oh yes we've gone to soooooo much trouble it took us all of 5 minutes to put up the exceptional display, and the lights will be switched on by no other than.......

Strider the Bodkin Baby!!!!

The event will start at 4.55 and finish at 4.56 :>) Not long I know, but Strider has other commitments :>)  He has sleep to get in, stuff a sachet or 2 and of course go after the dry food as well, so it's a pretty packed schedule for him! Not to mention running in through the cat flap and howling like a loon!

Michael wanted Motorhead, but it was just too late to organise it!

Any of you have any snow yet ? We just have rain, but it is very cold!

Best away I have the stage to erect and get the pap corner ready so they don't get too close to the star!!!!!

Security will be provided by the local slugs!!!! Hehehehehe!

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The spiders with their hats will be coming soon................. must nag Michael some more about that!!!!

1st December again!

Yup, here they are!  As promised, they're all on sale now - I've worked very hard (in rather unusual and difficult circumstances, which I won't bore you with... rolls eyes and trembles...) to get them on here today, but by jove I've done it....

First, here's the fantastic INFERNO GOWN!
The MANAWYDAN DRESS The BLACKBERRY TOP
The MANAWYDAN SKIRT The DECARLO SKIRT

And now... it's time for our Christmas Special Offer!  As you may have noticed, it's absolutely flipping freezing at the moment; so we thought we'd help keep you warm - by offering a FREE SCARF if you spend over £50!  You can order as usual via the cart system, or via email - once you've ordered, just email us to let us know what colour scarf you'd like and presto!  Instant velvety neck snugness! :o)

That's all for the moment; I'm off to spread the word on the internet... and then I'll have to face Yuber again in Suikoden III...

Cheers, an apprehensive Michael....

1st December

Yayyyyyy! Not long now, and we'll all be singing celtic carols around the Christmas tree!!! Stuffing nuts like no tomorrow and cold quorn products will be the daily dish :>)

I'm decorating Mums tree today, and taking her out this afternoon, to buy just a few more deccies .  I did all her shopping this weekend, and it was NOT easy :>( Even though I did it all online and she was sat comfortably on the sofa with the cat, she still couldn't quite grasp what was going on, it's all really sad at the moment, but on we battle........

If you want a sneaky peek, of the new designs for this month, just scroll down the page :>)

Michael will be putting them on today...hopefully......

I hope that you all had a jolly weekend, and enjoyed all the Britney/X Factor stuff, I didn't watch it myself as I can't stand the judges, but I was disappointed to see Esther and Timmy go from the jungle :>( I think it's nice to watch a bit of inanity to take your mind off your worries LOL!!!!

I must away now, this weeks cut list to do, a bit of work and then do Mums tree!

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

P.S watch this space for floating spiders with Santa hats on :>)

30th November

Well, that was a bit warmer than Dartmoor... :o)

We're hoping to get these on sale tomorrow, all things being well - this is only half of the newies we've done so far, but we thought we best try and get a few on now in case any of you wanted one for Yule!

Anyway, enough of our gabbling... here's the Inferno Gown!

And now, the Manawydan Dress!

This is the BLACKBERRY TOP!

The MANAWYDAN SKIRT ....

...and the DECARLO SKIRT!

We like 'em.  Lots.   :o)

Sarah & Michael

25th November

Ugh!!!!   Blah, blah blah :>(

Me no happy. Had an awful time with Mum last week, I won't go into details, to protect the innocent, but it was not good :>(  And the fact that appointments that have been booked all seem to be being cancelled doesn't help either. I know it's no ones fault, and mistakes are made........I make enough :>)....... But it just drags things out and makes every thing so much more difficult.   It's the little things like getting a sample off Mum to take to the nurse........... it took me 3 days to get one, and eventually I had to be up there at 7.30am to make sure I got it,................she was more difficult than the cat!

We have the CPN coming out tomorrow, and I'm so worried about the outcome of that, that if I don't stop worryting I might burst! I mean we want to  see if we can get the funding for home help but if we don't she'll have to pay. I'm hoping to get them started in the New year, or there might be other stuff available, but we should find that out tomorrow.

That's why I've been so quiet, I lost a whole day to worrying on Sunday :>) LOL!!!  Ah dear, sometimes, it just all gets on top of me, and I want to escape!!!! There's a house we've found in Davidstow and it has 3 acres, and it's just about affordable, probably even more so now in the current climate, so that's where I'd like to go :>) Not a very nice house but I'm not really bothered about that, it's the land and the views that I'm after!

I shan't be happy until tomorrow evening when the appointments over, and then I'll get a good nights sleep at last!

Oh and of course in between all these appointments, and cancelled appointments, and supposedly non existent appointments, we do have a business to run, so I'd better get on with it !

Catch you later

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

17th November

Hello!!!!!! :>)

Well that was a very nice holiday had, and now we're back in the thick of it again! But Christmas is not far away, so bring it on!!!! :>)  I did want to put the tree up last night, but meany Michael said no, so I'm going to wait till next Friday :>(

As you can see by the rather windy pic we took away, the new designs have not been taken yet, so we've got some lighting coming to enable us to do them inside! A very good idea if you ask me, it was bloody freezing on the Moors!  It was a bit like going into an icy cold sea, and it took me quite a while to take my fake fur coat off, but when I did!!! Cor Blimey!  So from now on, new designs will be taken inside, by the fire, all snug and warm!

We've been singing the German national anthem all morning, all Michael's fault......... He's rather keen on playing a zombie in the film Worst Case Scenario :>)  He showed me the trailer and it does look very good, so I hope it gets made soon :>)   They're still looking for financing at the moment, go here for more info - http://www.gorehoundinc.com/ and have a look at the trailer below if you want to be nice and scared LOL!

We had a bit of fun last night and had a good look around Youtube. we went to see the Sisters playing in Montreal a couple of days ago, then on to see Wayne play acoustically in America, and back home here to see FOTN playing in Shepherds Bush last July! :>) And well, they have certainly changed, all apart from the Nephilim really.  This was the best one:

It must be strange going to a gig though and spending the whole time recording it on your mobile phone LOL!!!  I don't have one of those "things", so I'll never have that problem LOL!!!!

Anyway, I'm off to do this weeks cut list, and then make a start :>)

Only 6 weeks till Christmas, so I want to keep on top of everything, we're hoping to finish on the 19th, but I doubt that some how :>)

Have a happy Sunday

Lots of Love

Sarah

15th November

What were we thinking?  Just cos it was sunny (sometimes) does not mean that Dartmoor is an ideal place for a photoshoot... let's see; early morning, 500 metres above sea level, an actual temperature of six degrees centigrade, with a wind chill factor that took it down to just below freezing... and while the valley we were in might not have felt windy, common sense should have told us that going up to the top of the nearest hill might not have been the wisest thing to do; it were blowin' a flippin' hoolie I tell ye...

... okay, it might not have worked, but it was still lot of fun; probably more for me than Sarah, as I was nicely bundled up in arctic gear... while she wore an admittedly rather dramatic, but utterly not warm and snuggly, gown.

So we took a couple of piccies, trying to ignore the sneering glances and snide comments of the local sheep who have doubtless seen this sort of thing all too often; but in the end their cynical bleatings got to us, and we buggered off to the Tors Inn, where for some reason we decided to have a cold stilton ploughmans each.  And lovely lovely lovely cold beer.

Here's just a sneaky peaky of one of the new gowns; please note that it does not come with the beanie hat which Sarah is desperately trying to hide with her hands.

After which we wandered up to the top of Belstone Tor, in an effort to get away from the laughter of the sheep which still rang in our ears... we didn't get to see the legendary Belstone Fox, but as you can see in the photo below, we did encounter his little known chum, the Belstone Jellyfish.

The big hill on the right of the next photo is High Willhays; the highest point in England south of the Pennines.  We didn't climb it; we were worried that there might be even more derisive and scornful sheep there, so we'll save that for another day.

Altogether now, "Out on the wiley, windy moor..." if anyone knows what on earth Kate Bush was on about, do let us know.

Me, hiding rather successfully from the owl that had kept us awake for half of the preceding night...

Anyhoo, we had a great time!  The pub at Belstone is fantastic, and we were really pleased to discover that Jamaica Inn has got it's act together and, after having been a tourist-catering monstrosity for far too long, is now a really good pub!

Back to worky now...

Michael

11th November

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee:>)

We're off on holiday!!!!   And we're not coming back till, oh, let me see now..........THURSDAY!!!! LOL!!!!

Still, the sun is shining and it's supposed to be gorgeous tomorrow! So I should be able to do some modeling on the Moor, maybe a wee bit chilly, but we'll get some good views in!

Orders will be dealt with as usual, we'll check in every day............. all 2 of them LOL!!!!!!!

Apparently retail sales were down last month, but they should have asked us! We had the busiest Halloween ever! :>)

When will they stop their doom mongering ?

Off to pack now, and I'll see you later!

We wish Pam all the luck in the world. .... And take it from us.......She'll need it. LOL!!!! :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

8th November

Finally, we've had a chance to put the new designs on the site!!!! yaayyyyy!

They're all trés gothique this month; all in black with not a splash of colour heheheheheheheehe!

Here they are:

The Lacuna Gown

The Shadowbride Jacket

The Ruffle Skirt

And the Nightshade Bodice

That's it for the moment, we're working on a lot more, but they're still in the 'development' stage ;o)

Michael

6th November

Hey y'all!!!!

Well! What exciting times we do live in!  There's the good news from the US of A,  we finally saw the manuelgate mystery girl "perform" last night, and I have come up with lots of new designs!!!! Hurrah!!!

I haven't actually made them yet, but most have got patterns and have been cut! They should look pretty good :>)  I was inspired by a one off order I did over Halloween, and it looked so purdy!

Michael is also working on a few new styles which should be on the site soon. So we're extremely organised LOL!

Oh and even more exciting news, we're going on holiday!!!! Oh yes for 2 WHOLE days LOL!!!! Pam is coming down to look after Mum, and we've booked a tiny self catering cottage at Belstone, which is right beside the Moor! It over looks the Moor, and has a real fire inside so it should be really snug!

We're away on Tuesday and back on Thursday!  Rock and Roll or what ? :>) That's actually only 1 whole day isn't it LOL!!!!

We'll take pics of course and share the view with you!

I hope you all had a good Samhain and fireworks night! We had some fireworks last night and I even lit them!!! I'm very brave :>)

Mum's been a bit down recently, and keeps going on about going in a home. She asked me to find her a home in St Agnes, and she had to be able to take Gimli of course! So I found her one earlier on this year and as soon as I'd found it she refused to go, even for a week! We are waiting for the CPN to do another assessment, as I have found some home help people, and she might be able to get funding, but we'll have to wait and see.

So it's all a bit confusing, and I don't know what to do as she doesn't really know what she wants to do either! I suppose it will sort itself out, life has a way of doing that! I hope she gets the funding though and then I can start the home help people!

Enough of my ramblings! I have work to do :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Samhain!

Happy Halloween all :>)

I hope you all have a spectacularly Spooky time!

It's our Wedding Anniversary today! 16 years!!!!!!! I can hardly believe it! But that's time for you LOL!!!!

We have been working so hard that neither of us have got a card! I did manage to get Michael a pressie but he opened that early by mistake LOL!!!

And guess what we're doing today ?

YUP! I have a load of Mums ironing to do, then drop it up there, re stock her tablets and then we're taking her out for lunch! Not THE most romantic thing to do, but we haven't had a chance to take her out for a couple of weeks, so we had to do it today. Also we're off to Jane and Martyn's tonight, and we didn't want to have to rush back tomorrow morning to take her out!

It'll be fun tonight though, we've got some fireworks to take up and lots of food, and no doubt Jane will have made enough food for 10 so we shall be little  stuffed samhain  piggies LOL!!!

Anyway, have a fantastic day, and keep an eye out for any real spooks! You never know if they're celebrating as well or not! if they are, they'll probably be loitering around the prawn ring LOL!!!!! :>)

OOPS! I take it back, Michael's just walked in the door with some roses!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh:>)  10 of course LOL!!!

Thanks to Rachel for our beautiful bat and card!

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

30th October

Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!  Halloween orders all done and posted!  Thanks for all your business this festive season :o)

But anyway, I'm angry.  Why am I angry you might ask?   Well, there's a very prominent news story of late regarding two television presenters - and here's my take on things. The names have been changed very subtly, as is our way, to protect the innocent and the guilty.

Gonathon Boss and Wussell Drand may not be everyone's idea of jolly good entertainment, but the current furore that surrounds them has sickened me to the core.

Drand can be a complete idiot; a few years ago I thought he was the most refreshing thing on TV, but since then I've found him at times to be puerile, self-obsessed and mostly just plain irritating.  (this may just be because he'd had books published and I haven't ;o) ) - but, no matter how irritating he can be, he can also be hysterically funny; and it cannot be denied that he is an erudite, intelligent man who can sometimes just get carried away.  Can't we fecking all.

Boss, on the other hand, is a fecking TV legend - and to suspend him is possibly the worst move the BBC have made since they decided to commission a program that sounds a bit like "Beastbenders".

Now, let's get this straight.  I don't for a moment condone the telephone messages they left; but I think they simply forgot where they were, and what they were doing, and were just two mates having a laugh.  After all, they didn't have the final say-so on if the calls were aired or not.

The recipient and the subject of these calls certainly didn't deserve their treatment by Boss and Drand; but at the same time, if your career involves summat that you don't want your Granddad to know about, then you're just fecking lying to yourself.  Have the hypothetical balls to be honest and be proud of what you do - if you are.  If not, stop it.

But now this has all gone too far; and suddenly, after TWO FECKING COMPLAINTS at the time, suddenly there are 32000 - and all due to campaigns by the so-called 'silent majority' who have been whipped into a hysterical frenzy by our wonderful Neo-conservative media.

Who are the 'silent majority'?  Who indeed.  Well, it's easy to spot them.

They:

Still regret that Victoria is no longer our monarch.

Are waiting for the day that Thatcher is re-elected as Prime Minister.

They have an almost Talebanesque, puritanical fundamentalism that would put the Witchfinder General to shame.

Bemoan the fact that Vera Lynn is no longer on Top of the Pops.

They don't know that Top of the Pops no longer exists.

They're the ones that choose our Eurovision songs.

So, why don't they put their righteous bile to some fecking use, instead of moaning on about a Radio 2 program that they didn't even fecking listen to?  If 33,000 people suddenly complained about Mandleson being back in the cabinet, about the lack of renewable energy sources, about the fact that the economy of the entire fecking world is run by gamblers, about the imminent enclosure of the Penwith Moors, that would be of use.

This is the 21st Century, and it's about time that they stopped  trying to make it the 19th.

Let's hope they've not seen E4's "Dead Set" yet.... ;o)

Michael

29th October

Yayyyyyyyyy!

The end of the black velvet rainbow is in sight!!!!

We should.......that's we SHOULD......be finished by Samhain!!!!!

Hurray!!!!

But I just had to come on here and put my penneth worth in about the  Brand/Ross thing!  Is it just me, or is somebody (well lots of somebodies actually!) making a real to do about a very, silly, stupid, thing ?

I can understand if the people that listened to it complained, but there were only 2 at the time!

Bring on the hate campaign and now there are thousands!!!!

I can also understand why the people who were involved in the so called joke got offended.

But let's face it, if you really don't want to upset your Granddad, you don't go posing in the Sun with your kit off, displaying all :>)   What's the betting she'll be in the NOTW this Sunday ?

All very strange if you ask me! But if she's looking for a PR I know someone who's just lost a very good client! I bet Clax Mifford is on the phone already don't you ?

I have to say though, that Brand resigning from his job, is  a very kind thing for him to do! That should save Ross's pay cheque LOL!!!!

But you have to laugh really don't you ?

Not so much to laugh about, is Mother this week. She has been terrible, refusing to keep the lifeline, setting it off at any given time, and then ringing me, so I have to go and plug it in. Not wanting her flu jab, and just generally being very naughty!!!!  Even moaning about the nurses that come in! And I know she really likes them, so she's probably just feeling a bit rebellious!

And we're having huge problems with a certain charity. They keep bombarding Mum with letters, and gifts and all sorts of things! So today when I went up, I was sorting out a bill for her and noticed that she'd sent them a  cheque, which she can't afford to give! I guess it's my fault really, as I should keep a closer eye on things, and I do really try, but I am very angry at the way these people are getting to Mum, and emotionally blackmailing her. They do it in a way, where she thinks they are personal letters to her, and she keeps going on about this man who is so very kind to her! But really all they are doing is demanding money!

I googled them, and they are a real charity, but there were loads of people complaining about the methods they use.

So I've told her next time to not open them and return to sender, which of course she won't, so I'll have to be extra careful for the next few days!

We went to the Theatre darling! It was fabulous!!!! So if "And there were none" comes near, you go see it!

I shan't give away the ending but the clues in the title :>)

I'm off to relax now and watch some more Dead Set later! it's soooo scary but very good!

Lots of Love

Sarah

25th October

Wow!  Happy hour change day everyone :>)

I love it! Nice cosy, dark evenings, the confusion this morning, the cats asking for food continually.......they know that something is up, and the best way that they handle the hour change is to just eat some more food LOL!!!!............

Why do we do it every year ? Poor Mum is really confused, 'cos she's forgot that we ever did it in the first place ! I tried to explain it to her, but she wasn't having any of it LOL!  She wanted to stick to the old time, but we sneakily changed her clocks any way LOL!!!

I had a brilliant Birthday, thanks again for all the cards and stuff, and I think I feel a bit grown up now!  I mean 40, but it actually feels fine! I think the build up to it, was a bit scary but it really makes no difference at all.

Now, work! It's totally mad, and mental and non stop! Since my days off we've been working every day and working till 8 or 9 in the evenings! So we can guarantee all your Samhain orders will be reaching you on time :>) It's rather nice to be this busy when you consider how much doom mongering has been going on! And it's good to know that we are all carrying on as normal, and ignoring the so called credit crunch LOL!!!.......I HATE that word.........shiver shiver!!!!!

So I shall be working all day till late again, but we are going out on Tuesday  to see And then there were none at our local theatre!!! It was a present from Michael's Mum and Dad for our anniversary :>)   Jane and Martyn are coming to, so it should be a good night!  We were planning to go on another murder train for Halloween, but we can't book the tickets, so we're just going to have a few drinkies and some fireworks at Jane's instead! That's easier really, as I didn't fancy having to concentrate on the murderer all evening, much easier just chilling out and eating and drinking :>)

I'm off to the machines now, I shall be doing so till next Friday but I hope we can get a day off for Samhain:>)

Catch you later

Lots of Love and velvet dust

24th October

<pops head out from under a pile of velvet>

<looks around for other survivors>

<sees Sarah stirring, only her eyes showing above another pile of velvet>

Has a war started?  Is this the end of all things?  Has the asteroid hit yet?

Are we the only two left???

<checks electricity... well, that's still working, so there's probably still someone else out there... mind you, it could well be wind generated, so that don't mean nuffink>

<checks email application... Halloween orders are STILL coming in, despite the fact that there's only a week to go>

<faints>

<wakes up>

Well, then we're not the only two left.  That presumably means that society is still functionally normally, and the capitalist machine marches on.  Oh well, you can't have everything can you...

<grabs beer>

<covers face in woad>

<checks survival rations of Hobgoblin, water, quorn, Innocent Smoothies and cheese>

<casts Beserk level 3 spell>

<dives back into pile of velvet>

See you on the other side of Samhain, folks... wooooo wooooo woooooooo....

17th October

Hi there y'all :>)

We finished work on time hurrah!!!! So our first day off for weeks! I have done absolutely bugger all, and loved every minute of it!

I have painted my nails a beautiful red and green, the top part of the nail fluorescent green and then the bottom part bright red! Looks some purdy! I have also read my sad mag and used a face mask!

I think my life should be like this all the time of course  LOL!!!!

So the BIG day tomorrow, I don't feel any different, a bit weird perhaps, but on the whole not too bad at all!

Michael has got me so many presents, I am amazed! I think I am spoilt, but that's Ok with me :>)

Thanks ever so much for all the Birthday wishes and messages :>)

I'm now off to experiment with my hair, but it'll probably end up the same as always! LOL!!!!

Have a great weekend, and if you're out and about have a glass of lager for me LOL!!!

Lots of Love

Sarah

13th October

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

So close and yet so far :>) Only 4 days left of work, till we get 4 days off !!!!!  I can't wait, it will seem strange after working for so long without a proper break LOL!!!

Of course we worked ALL weekend, and last week was completely crazy, 'cos we had soooo much work to do, and Mum was really high maintenance!  We got the Lifeline guy out so she now has that to keep her safe every day, of course she doesn't want to wear it or anything sensible like that!  Then we had a crisis meeting on Tuesday, and then called out the Home help people on Thursday, so it really was amazing that I managed to sew anything at all.

I think I'm going to go with the home help people, they were really nice and understanding and not that expensive, and will free up my days, as they'll go and do the lunch run 5 days a week, so only 2 left for me to do, plus everything else of course :>)

I had my fairy done and she's really pretty but taking ages to heal, so no pics yet I'm afraid!!! LOL!

And we are on 24 hour Goldfinch baby watch. Poor little mite, I don't know if he's been abandoned or just a bit silly, but he keeps eating all the seeds from the ground and not the feeder. We've even been able to go up to it without it flying away and it has no fear at all! So he's in real danger of being eaten by one of our naughty cats!

Here's some pics of the little fella :>)

;

So only 5 days till I'm 40, I'm not feeling too bad about it, especially as I found out this morning that Paddington bear is 50!  HAH!!!!! I feel so young next to him LOL!!!!

We haven't got a lot planned for my Birthday, lots of mooching around and being VERY lazy! But we are going out to lunch on the Saturday and we're hoping to go to a haunted church and then a walk on the Moors. that'll do me fine!

Pam and Mark are coming down, so they'll do a bit of Mum sitting as well, which will be a real treat . Jane and Martyn took her out last Saturday and she had a lovely time, of course back to her usual self yesterday!  I'm hoping when the people start and she sees less of me, she might start being a bit nicer and maybe appreciate what I do a bit more, I shan't hold my breath though! That could be a very long wait LOL!!!!!

I am SO loving the new Rasmus CD, I think Michael might be regretting buying it for me, as I'm listening to it non stop :>)  I've been a bit stressed recently what with work and Mum,  so it's nice to have a distraction!

That's it for me for a while again, I'll get back to you on Friday morning when I shall actually  be on holiday!!! whoop whoop woo!!!!!!

4th October

Is it really a Saturday ?   I know we took Mum out for lunch but all the work before and after has left me very confused!!!

I have just finished for today, and then it's another full on day tomorrow :>)  I really can't see us having any time off till the 17th! But I have got Monday afternoon off, because I'm having my tattoo done :>)   It'll be nice to sit down and do nothing for a few hours!!! I don't know how long it will take, hopefully not that long, or I might fall asleep LOL!!!

We've been cheering ourselves on by watching Carry On films!  I've seen them millions of times but picked up on a new joke just now! It's the jungle one, and here it goes.......

Frankie Howard says to Joan Simms.....

You remind me of a babbling brook. To which she replies, What ?!!!!

So he tells her that she's all sparkly and inviting and cool! So she says, well I am cool now, night drawers on you know. To which Frankie replies............... How sensible of you to bring a pair!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know why but I think that's hilarious.....it could just be I'm over worked of course!!!!

And at lunch time when we took Mum out she was staring and grinning at this little baby in a baby seat........... Nothing new there, she's OBSESSED with babies! Anyway she does this for about 1/4 of an hour, and then she says in a very loud voice............ I thought that was a baby in that seat, but it's a dog!!!!!!!  I can tell you, the family were not impressed, so we made  a hasty retreat!

CRINGE!!!!!

And she also wanted Michael's spare car headlight bulb as an ornament, so it was yet another strange day with Mama!

I'm now off to watch a bit of LOTR and then have an early-ish night ready for tomorrow! Which will be spent.......working......... what a surprise!

I hope you're all having a good weekend!

lots of Love

Sarah

28th September

Ahh dear!!!

So another crazy week had here, Mother is still doing some weird things, but she is being a little nicer.......for the moment...... Still extremely rude, but not quite so much hatred :>)   That has to be good !

I have not done much since last time, loads and loads of work, I have managed to sort out my tattoo, which I'm pleased about, and of course been doing my caring bit!  I did get a good tip off of one of Michael's friends though, and have started to get microwave meals in for Mum, and it's working!!!!!!!!!! She's actually eating them, and it's much easier for me, so all round a very good idea!  Not the meals that you get from a proper supplier, but the cheap, yukky meals from the supermarket, and she's loving them :>) Jane got me a few for next week, so that's been really helpful, all things like hotpots and pies and curries! God knows what they actually taste like, but they certainly smell Ok when I cook them LOL!!!!

We went to Jane and Martyns yesterday and they did a yummy bar-b-que, it was delicious!!!!!!! We sat in the garden and drank our beer from the bottle!!!! How summery is that ?

I've been very brave today and actually went out on the kayak for the first time!!! LOL!!!

ME!!!!!! In a wetsuit ???????

YUP!!! It's a very nice shorty type and it's black and purple LOL!!! No velvet though, so I put my velvet swimsuit on underneath, you have to maintain some dignity don't you ?

I kept going for over an hour, and though it was hard work on the arms, I really enjoyed it. The weather was fabulous today, and it was really warm, and I didn't get too wet!

We stopped off for a quick drink in the Pub...The Golden Lion. Right next door to the reservoir.......... Yes I chose  my first kayak ride on a place with no waves, tides or anything scary!!!! LOL!!!!.......And of course the Pub was right there, so a very enjoyable experience.

I also did my interview for EGL online magazine, we'll put a link up when it's all been uploaded :>)

Very good questions, and of course I answered all of them in my own Sarah kind of way.

Now for some VERY exciting news!!!

Johnny Depp is coming to Cornwall!!!!  Well only just really, because he'll be nearer Devon than us, but still exciting none the less.

They are filming the new Alice film down here, and Matt Lucas will be in it as well!!!!  Mind you the likely hood of me getting out of Hawke Mountain in the next few weeks, is not looking good, so the chance that I might get a glimpse of Johnny from a distance is even more unlikely :>(

Why do we have to work ? LOL!!!

I guessed who Johnny was playing right away, and of course who Matt is playing!!! So it looks like it's going to be good film, I don't know who's playing Alice though. If they're still looking I'd be up for it!!!..........A rather older type I know, but to get near Mr Depp I'd be up for it!!!!! LOL!!! :>)

Anyway, I hope you've all had a good weekend, and are enjoying our Indian summer.  It was so warm today I think I might have got a bit of a tan :>0

A belated Happy Birthday to Rachel :>) So glad you liked your pressies xxxxxxxx And a Happy anniversary to Jane and Martyn for Monday :>)

I must away now and watch some Addams Family. It's Autumn, Halloween is coming, the decorations are in the shops already, so I HAVE to watch it LOL!!

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

19th September

Well, it has been a strange, strange  week.  I shan't bore you with the details, as they're pretty unbelievable to be honest. We've been in shock for a couple of days, but you soon get back into the swing of it don't you ? LOL!!!!

Anyway, after a bit of mithering and contemplating and stuff, I finally remembered, that the nurse who came out and assessed mum a while back also offered me some help if I felt the need. So I've sent my form off, and should hear back from them in a couple of weeks.

I knew it wouldn't be easy, and as things progress, slowly, but they do progress, I think a few hints and tips would not go amiss. I mean if they're qualified and know what they're talking about, it can only make me a better carer, and maybe get a grasp of what the hell is going on, and how to deal with it all.

I guess I want to know if I am doing it the right way, and if not, what am I supposed to do :>)

It shouldn't do any harm anyway. The insults I can take, the mood swings...it's all part and parcel of the whole deal......but the crazy stuff.... that's where I get a bit stuck and worrying doesn't do any good, and it certainly doesn't make anything better. So constructive help is what I need, and hopefully what I shall get :>)

Work has been crazy busy again, but that's good, it helps keep me sane, and it keeps me busy, so that cuts down on all the worrying LOL!!!!

We took Mum out shopping this afternoon and she has a lovely new winter coat and a rather nice skirt, and we took her out for lunch as well....which was an interesting experience!!!!!!

We also flew Michael's plane earlier this evening and t'was a  good flight!!!! :>) It had to have been in the air for at least 5 minutes which is a record LOL!!!!!!!!

We're off to St Ives tomorrow with Jane and Martyn the guys are going to kayak and us girlies are  just going to chill on the beach, and enjoy the view!

Have a great weekend, and enjoy the gorgeous weather!!!!

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

14th September

Hi y'all!!!! :>)

How y'all doing ?

I'm having a super lazy day, and have read every sad mag out there with any BB gossip in.  They are still sore losers, and poor Rachel should not be put down. She won fair and square, and that is that!!!

I worked so hard all last week, I mean it was full on sewing, and I was so good and did all my exercises and have started using my juicer again, so I have been healthy as well!! I found a really good exercise for bingo wings :>)  You take some weights.....or in my case some granite book ends....... sit up straight on the edge of the sofa and raise your arms above your head. Then all you have to do is bend your arms back to your back and lift them up above your head again :>)  Nice and simple and it really works :>)  The first I did it I was in agony but after a few days, it's really easy!

Mum is still being horrible, and I think that's the way she's going to be from now on. But I'm just doing my usual stuff and not letting her get to me.  We took her for an eye test last week, and when she was out she was as sweet as anything, but as soon as she got back home she was all rude and nasty again :>(

But she can go on as much she likes, wishing she was dead, slagging off Dad continually......who of course is dead and has been for nearly 20 years!!!!!  If he had a grave I tell you he would be whizzing around it :>).............and being as rude as she likes! I can't let her get to me, there's too much to be done, for her and with work, so if I let her upset me, I'll never have a happy day :>)

We had a good day yesterday, we went out with Michael's parents, it was their 49th wedding anniversary!   Jane and Martyn came down and looked after Mum while we were out and then they came for dinner and they flew the aeroplane for a bit on the cliffs! :>)

It's really, really busy again next week, loads of orders, so I shall be working like a nutter again!

Oh and we wish Maggie a very happy Birthday :>) Hope you had a great weekend, and so glad you liked your pressie :>)

I'd best away as I have some more lazing around to do!

Have a good weekend,

lots of love

Sarah

7th September

HURRAH!!!!!

Rachel won BB!!!! I'm so happy!!!!!:>)

I really thought that evil Rex was going to win, but he came 4th!!!! LOL!!  And was booed and people shouted out w****r!!!!! LOL!!!!  I'm going to keep that on Sky + so if I'm ever feeling down I'll watch that bit again, it was soooo funny!!!!!!

Oh and after she'd won Davina was talking to the other house mates and they were so bitter and angry!  Let it go guys, she's won and you didn't LOL!!!!

I have had such a tough time with mum, she has been absolutely evil all week! I have no idea why, and I don't know what set it off, but since Monday she has been a complete monster. :>(  It makes it so much harder when she's like this, and she's been fine the last few weeks, but I just have to grin and bear it I suppose . I am getting fed up with being insulted on a daily basis though, everything I say or do is wrong, and it is very soul destroying day in and day out.  And of course she's not like it with anybody else, just Michael and I, mainly me, so when anyone else  comes to see her, she's all over them and pretending there's nothing wrong!  Drives me nuts I can tell you!  But I suppose familiarity breeds contempt!  The Doctor did explain it to me earlier on this year, but it doesn't make it any easier :>(

Anyway, I have work to do today, it went absolutely crazy last week with orders so it's a full on work week for us.  But we are going to go for a walk later when I've finished.

I'd best away as I have to make Mums lunch........... for her to moan about and waste no doubt!!!  I tell you it's the  Herculean thankless task of all time :>(

See you later

Lots of Love

Sarah

Oh and thanks for all the emails about the new designs, glad you love them!

2nd September

Nearly done!  It's taken us most of the day to get over the shock that Alistair Darling is an avid reader of whisperings; who'd have thought it eh???!!!  But he obviously is; at least the raising of the Stamp Duty threshold will help things a little.  Personally, Alistair (assuming we're on first name terms now) we'd have liked it if you'd set the threshold at over £200,000; and have it as a permanent thing rather than for just one year.

And while you're at it, Al old mate, we wouldn't mind some recognition for the idea.  Or failing that, letting us off our tax bill this year... or forever.... ;o)

Anyway, now what about setting up some more windfarms, Ali-boy?  And while we're in the mood, what about re-nationalising the railways, water, electric, gas, telephone networks and so forth?

Obviously you might want to have a word with Gordon about that lot.

Now then... there was something else?  Now..... what was it?

Oh yes!   In addition to being valued advisors to Her Majesty's Government, we also happen to run a gothic clothing business!!! :o)

We've not had time to do all the coding and individual pages for anything yet, so you're getting a sneaky peak here first... it's just like old times LOL!

Here's the Shadowfaery Minidress:

And now for the LilyRaven Gown!

And the SAINT GOTHICA* Top and Skirt!

And yes!  It was actually sunny!!!  Admittedly,  there were 30 mile an hour winds and it was bloody freezing, but we did it - yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

1st September

Hurrah!!! The Autumn is coming, the Autumn is coming :>)

We all went to the beach last night to see the very high tide, so we took some pretty pics for you.

It was still cold, but we had chips and curry sauce to keep us warm and watched the sun set :>)

Tide in.....

Tide going out, and it still had hours to go!

T'was a beautiful sight :>)

We had a quick drink in the sunset bar, which has a fabulous view, and we could watch all the surfers falling off LOL!!!

It was surprising how many holiday makers are still down here, when you take into account the weather we've had, but both Martyn and Michael found parking spaces and it was free!!!!   So not too shoddy, not too shoddy at all :>)

Now I'm going to get al political LOL!!!

Something I very rarely do...

All this crap about the recession is soooooo getting on my nerves :>(

I mean, if I was to say to you.....you're gonna fall over, you're gonna fall over, you're gonna fall over..........I bet you'd start walking a bit odd, and then you'd fall over!!!!

So going on and on about the recession, is just scaring everyone, and shops are already laying off staff to allow for the drop in sales before it's even happened!!!!!!

STOP the doom-mongering guys, let us all carry on as we are and I'm sure we'll all be alright :>)

If they really want to do something useful, instead of banging on about recession, and doom and gloom. Why don't they raise the stamp duty threshold and get the housing market moving again !!!!

See!!!! Simple!!!!! :>) Of course I should be a political adviser, but I think I'll stick to designing and sewing LOL!!!!!

Talking of designing, the new ones are all finished and the pictures will be taken tomorrow, when the sun will be showing her beautiful face!

I must away now, I'm exhausted from all that serious stuff!!!!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Love

Sarah

Oh and thanks for the links to the pics of Lauri, the blonde is looking goood!!!! xxxx

29th August

Hurrah!!! Friday at last :>)

I hope you all had a fab bank holiday weekend, despite of the weather!    I've put up a sunny new whisperings pic, because I think that it's going to be the last time we see the sun for a while LOL!!!!   We were supposed to be taking new pics today as it was "supposed" to be the best day of the week, but it's just all grey, grey grey :>(

Not to worry though as I have made some fabby new designs for next month!!!!  I'm very pleased with them :>)  there are 3 gowns, one which has to be the gothiest gothy gown EVER!!!!!!  ;>)  And a couple of skirts, both are gorgeous but the ruffle one is just to DIE for LOL!!!!   And there's a new top which is gorge as well so I can't wait to take the pics.

I'm still thinking of the best way to put the new wholesale stuff on the sale page. I don't want to get too much stuff in and then again I don't want stuff ordered that I don't have, so I'll have to think about that some more. Be nice to show you all and then see what you think, but that's a lot of pics to take!  I'm sure I'll get there in the end LOL!!!!

Poor old Mup had a bad day yesterday. She had to go to the vets, and that always gets her stressed up and she had an injection and then came home and shook like mad :>(

But she has now picked her favourite cardboard box and has been sleeping in that for most of the day :>)

Not much other news really. I've been working hard, playing Dragon Quest, and watching BB!!! LOL!!! We're taking Mum up to Jane and Martyn's tomorrow, and last weekend Jane and Martyn came down and we had a jolly time :>)  We even walked on the cliffs but it was flipping freezing Brrrrrrrrrr. Very cold for August .

I am getting very excited about the new Rasmus Cd coming out soon :>)   Oh yes, it's going to be a goody! It seems ages since there last one, so I need some more please :>) I think I'd even go and see them if they played nearish............. well I know they won't come down here, but maybe Bristol ??..............  Maybe :>)

Apparently Lauri has blonde hair now :>) I bet he still looks cute though LOL!!! Ah dear, I'm soooooooo too old to be saying that LOL!!!!!

Anyway, thank you to Rachel for my pretty fairy she sent me :>)

Let's hope we get some sun before Monday, then the new stuff will be on time!

I'm hoping that Rachel will win BB, but I'm not so sure she will. I know I don't want  Darnell. I really liked Darnell but he's lost the plot now, and I think it would be best for all concerned if he goes :>)

Have a good weekend!

Lots of Love

Sarah

18th August

Hellooooo!!! :>)

I've been meaning to do a whitter for a while now, but it's been very busy here!

In fact I'm amazed how busy we are for this time of year, but I think the early Autumn/complete lack of Summer has helped us there LOL!!!

We had a fun time last Saturday, we went to Jane and Martyn's and played the Playstation Singstar!!! Oh dear there was noise and singing un heard of before. I think the worst had to be Jane and I singing Whitney's greatest love and the men singing evanescence, bring me to life. My god that last note, the long one, nearly did my ears in completely, but both Michael and Martyn bravely held on to the bitter end!!!!! :>)

Then there were the endless chorus's of smoke on the water LOL!!!!

We took Mum out Saturday for lunch of course and she ordered a soup she hates, and ate it all up LOL!!!!  We've also had some bill confusion. We have a routine where Mum leaves her post on the table every day so I can check it, but one electric bill had been hidden away, and just by chance I found the red bill!  So I phoned them today and have made it direct debit which is so much easier. I'm going to do that with all her bills, as it's not easy paying them if you don't know you've had the bill LOL!!!!

I'm still watching BB  and I was soooo pleased that Rachel stayed last week :>)  Poor Rex and his girlfriend are having a terrible time so I hope one of them go this week, that might just save their relationship!

I've got lots of new stuff to put on the sale page, but we do have to wait for a sunny day to take pics of them so that could take a while I'm afraid.

I have just finished cutting for the day, and then it will be all week sewing, so roll on the long weekend!!!

Who would have thought August would have this busy ?

But I'm not complaining!

Lots of Love

Sarah

14th August

Splishy splishy...

Well, I'm finally dry.  Tuesday saw the highest levels of sog ever recorded... on my trousers at least (ohhhh matron!).  If ever anyone says to you that goff clothes and kayaking go together, then they're either A) insane, B) very cruel, or C) a masochist. Fortunately I had a wetsuit on under my Nephilim shirt and combats, but I ended up looking like the squidgiest thing since Bob the Amoeba crawled out from the primordial ooze and decided it might be time to evolve.

On top of that, it was supposed to be a leisurely kayak-based 'stroll' up the River Fowey and back; it turned into more of an endurance test with massive gusts of wind actually forcing some folks backward in the river!

BUT... it was blimming good fun, and I loved it so much that me now wants me own kayak - a double one, so Sarah can join in the fun!   So, happy birthday again to Martyn and thanks for suggesting it in the first place!

Now then, talking of things goff, which we kinda were... we've been asked if we could place an advert for Nokia on our 'lil site.   So click on it and see how a mobile phone service can make goths happy!

Sarah's stuck on DragonQuest 8 at the moment; so I'm writing this while frequently flipping back and forth through a walkthrough... :o)

 9th August

Hey ho de hoody ho!

'twas only a week ago we were having a jolly old time in Boscastle; seems like an age now.  Today we had lunch with a Caledonian relative of Sarah's that we'd never been aware of before, which was an interesting experience.

But believe it or not we do sometimes, once in the twinkle of a dragonfly's eye, have a weensy bit of life away from fammerly commitments; and such was the case last weekend.

Boscastle was sooooooooo loooooooooooooooooooooooooovly; we even braved the tourist hordes in Tintagel on the Saturday which was good fun.   But one of the bestest bits was Bodmin moor; we tried walking there on the first day, but as soon as we arrived at the Roughtor car park the heavens opened and we scuttled back to our hotel.

But on Saturday we went to a really, really remote part of the moor to find King Arthur's hall; spent a couple of hours there in total isolation.  It's one of the strangest ancient sites I've seen; it's almost like a henge circle... ie, a grouping of stones (some up to about 7 feet in height) surrounded by a high bank...

BUT the stones aren't in a circle!  It's a blimmin rectangle??!!!  And it seems likely that the middle of the 'circle' (for want of a better word) had been hollowed out in order to make the bank; it's hard to tell now as it's full of water.  I don't know if anyone knows how deep it is at the centre, but apparently it's at least four to six feet deep.  we didn't wade into it to find out!

We've been guessing for days now as to what it might be - was there a natural sacred pool there, that the Bronze Age folk decided to enclose for ceremonial purposes?  There's  very wet and boggy ground all the way around, which made getting to the hall a very squelchy process - it's apparently almost impossible to get to in the winter - so it might be a natural feature that was deemed important enough to surround it with stone and earth.

Or, it could have been a created pool; with the centre hollowed out to create the bank.  Why?  Maybe to create some kind of neolithic spa???!!

There are some folks that reckon it's actually medieval; but records dating back to the 1500's mention how ancient it appeared then; so that's highly unlikely.  It's in an ancient ritual landscape; there's standing stones and stone circles all around it; go figure.

We then squelched on to the King Arthur's Down's circles; once a double ring, but now mostly fallen.  But a beautiful, wild and atmospheric place all the same.

Anyway, enough of my blathering; here's the pics!

Here's Roughtor, from King Arthur's Downs...

King Arthur's Hall... it's rather large, couldn't get it all in the photo!

Sarah, on her circumnavigation of King Arthur's Hall...

One of the Hall's stones...

A soggy stone in the King Arthur's Down circles...

Boscastle, now almost fully recovered from the flood.

And Boscastle Harbour, from halfway up one of the steepest hills I've ever climbed!

Also managed about a four minute flight last week :o)  It was a controlled crash landing... ahem...

There.  Whisperings done.  No rant... :o)

Oh, and just to wish all those lucky lucky bastids from Dawnrazorland a damn good time at Mera Luna this weekend.  Remember to shout for Celebrate ;o)

Michael

6th August

Ok then, the bags will be ordered!!! :>)

I like them, I think the cat one is my favourite surprise surprise hey!

I have also found a new wholesale supplier, so keep a look out for a few extra bargains on the sale page! It won't be for a while as I have to pick the ones I like, and I'm thinking you'll probably like them as well :>)

Clothes, clothes clothes!!! There is no greater happy therapy than adding to your wardrobe LOL!!!! Michael says I'll have to clear some space first, but I think we'll just have to move Hehehehehehe!!

Leggie went to the vets today, for his little lip had swollen up again, but he's fine now :>) AND Michael has got his new glasses!!  All the computer work had taken it's toll on his poor eyes, but he's got a nice pair, and I think they suit him :>)

We're hoping to finish work off by Friday, and are sun dancing for a bit of decent weather, so we can go out and crash Michael's plane again LOL!!!!

Mother is totally exhausted after her hectic weekend, and has done nothing since Monday........Apart from a whole lot of moaning.............What a surprise :>(

We're planning to take her out on Saturday as we have to get Martyn his 40th Birthday present, only 6 days to go!!! We are hoping to go Kyacking, to help him celebrate so that should be fun !

Now I must away, as I have a tricky level on DQ to finish!

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh the suns coming out, so we're off to crash the plane now LOL :>)

5th August

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Holidays are good, but my God why does it have to SUCK so much when you get back!!!!!!!!!

Bloody life!!!!!

And no, it's not work, work is good and nice and happy!!!!!!! :>)

Jeeeeeeez, I must be one of the biggest idiots in the entire world!!!! The biggest looser, the biggest damn no brainer ever to have been created :>(  YUP! It's me, I am a foolish, stupid, sub human, flippin nob head, and am happy to say that I am being taken for what I am :>)

Decisions have been made, by me, with Michael's help. Big decisions, massive decisions, and what fools we were.

It sucks, I tell you, it f'in sucks, but even though the light has come on, don't expect any reaction. Don't expect any come back, because idiots like me, don't do that, sorry they're not "allowed" to do that. That would stop me being such a huge idiot you see. :>(

I am so F'd off right now, but I will continue with my sewing, thank god I have a job I love. Or I might have to go and stay in a mental home for a while.

And thank god for Michael, at least he understands it all, and my god, has he been patient as well. :>) But the one word that springs to mind is FARCE!!!!!  And it has been for a very long time :>(

I shall now get back to work, and hopefully do a happier update later on the week, after I've calmed down LOL!!!!!

On a brighter note, we're really pleased with our feature in Fae Mag :>) Looking good man!!!!! And don't forget to let me know what you think about the witchy bags. They're on the forum so take a look, I think they're gorgeous, but it would be nice to get your feedback as well.

I think I need some serious retail therapy to cheer me up :>)

see you soon

Lots of Love

Sarah the idiotic sucker ;>)

28th July

Well, it's been a strange few days, I have swam in the sea :>)   Yesterday I hand launched Michael's' remote control aeroplane...... it was a gorgeous day, sunny and no wind, so we went to the cliffs to attempt to fly the plane, but it crashed twice and we broke the propellers LOL!!!!........And just now I saw a sight to behold indeed!!! Mum had half a saffron bun on the table, and Gimli stuck his paw in, took it off the table and proceeded to eat it, whilst spitting out the sultanas LOL!!!!

I have never seen a cat eat a bun before!!! :>)

NOW!!

Are you watching BB ?

I was shocked last  night, we watched the live feed, and Rex was soooooooo mean to Rachel.

I sort of like her, she's sorta nice and and quite pretty, and isn't too annoying. But as we know from previous years, being nice, can be the ultimate sin!

Maybe she hasn't lived up to her VT  she did before she went in, but there are so many over powering people in there, they can't all be stars ....I use that word lightly.........and there do seem to be a few bullies in there, most of them have gone now, but that Rex is a naughty boy!!!  I reckon he fancies her, that's the only reason I can see why he was so cross with her !

I'm hoping that Stale or Puke will go next as I can't stand them!

Oh and poor Rachel is getting had a go at by Lisa as well!! Apparently she was mentally undressing her beloved when he was still in the house !!!!!

More like mentally dressing him!!!!!

Jeez, that girl has done nothing to deserve all the crap she's getting, if I was her last night, I would have walked, and told Rex to F off.............But I think Rachel and him are secretly loving it a little bit............... and they can't say she's boring anymore as she's certainly sticking up for herself !!!!!

I don't think she'll win, but she's not as bad as they're all making out!

That's my BB rant over :>)

Best get on with dinner now, and then hopefully an early night! Although I might watch some more BB ;>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

26th July

BOING  BOING  BOING!!!!!!!!!!:>)

Guess what ?

I've been in the sea............SWIMMING!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!

Heheheheheheheheee!

It was bloody freezing, but my purple velvet cozzy (that has to be 16 years old, and un worn till this very day LOL)  stood up to the job and didn't disintegrate when it hit the salt water LOL!!!!!  It was actually made for me before we got married, so that shows how long it is since I've been swimming! It's dreadfully 80's so I think it's back in fashion again now LOL!!!!!!

But the sea was fabulous and clean and clear and just THE best!!!!!   I did manage to loose one of my rings, but that's because it was so cold I shrunk in the wash!!!! LOL!!!!

Ahh dear, so I'm feeling very pleased with myself.

I hope you're all having a good weekend, we took Mum out for lunch today and she did a bit of shopping, and then on to the beach minus Mama. We're just about to have a barbe now, Michael's in charge of that and he's even made his own veggie/halloumi kebabs with his own marinade!!! Should be deeelicious!

He's becoming quite the chef!

Catch you later, I'm off for a warm up now!

Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

PS and yes we did wear our new rocks on t'beach LOL!!!

23rd July

My goodness!!! Is it the 23rd already ??? This month is flying by :>)

The Murder Mystery train we went on was excellent, and we all really enjoyed it!!!   That's over  a week ago now, can't believe it!!!!

So yeah, where was I ?   Ummmmmmmmmm, the Murder was great, and  we worked up till Friday and then we had a hectic weekend, with family down and we even managed to take pictures of the new designs on the Moors!!! Now that WAS fun :>) Found a lovely place with rocks and a cheesering and a little lakey/pond thing, so it was ideal. Of course we had a nice pub lunch before hand at Blisland, one of THE best pubs in Cornwall :>)

As I'm sure you've all seen, our Summer Sale started yesterday  so have a gander and see if there's anything you fancy!

Gave myself a bit of a scare this morning, I was doing my usual peruse of the heat website......getting my fix of any BB gossip........... when I saw something about Jeremy Kyle........I wasn't properly awake, and got completely the wrong end of the stick.....but it's Ok as he is OK!!!! Just a nasty crash!!!   Bloody scary though.

Anyway, it's really hot down here at the mo, sort of nice to see the sun though :>)  The garden is calling me, but I am being a good girl and finishing al the orders off first :>)

Michael has been bit of a star and has booked us into the Welly for a couple of nights at the beginning of August!!!!   How thoughtful is that ???? I'm sure it has nothing what-so-ever to do with him going to London on his own, and perhaps feeling a little guilt ridden.......... but who cares ??? LOL!!!! Now I get to go away as well!!!! Hurrah!!!!! :>)   Mum will be well looked after, as Pam and Mark were planning on coming down that weekend anyway, so it all fits in lovely :>)

I don't know why, but I'm in one of my lazy moods this week, must be all the sun!!! :>)  I hope it's nice this weekend, be nice to sit outside and do nothing for a change!

Catch you later, and watch out for sun burn!

Lots of Love

Sarah

15th July

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Pookie is home :>) LOL!!!!

He's had THE best time, and though he didn't bring me back Ville Vallo, I still was very pleased to see him LOL!!!

I'm so tired though, I don't know why but when Michael's away I just can't sleep properly. You'd think that I'd sleep like a log, because of the lack of snoring LOL!!!!   But I seem to wake up at the slightest noise, usual a cat noise, so I'm ready for a few early nights now :>)

But not tonight !!! We're off on a  murder mystery train!!!!! Jane and Martyn are going as well, so it should be a bit of fun! You win a prize if you guess the murderer, but some how, I think I'll just sit back, relax and enjoy the show!!!! And my pasty LOL!!!!!!! Yes, there's a meal and a bar on the train as well, and it's an old steam train, so it'll be fun!!!

Lots of work as well of course, and I'm trying to find time to do all my new designs. We have made one of them already and it looks goood!!!!!! I've experimented with braiding, and it has worked really well, so that'll be on the site soon no doubt!!!!

We've had fairly crap weather, but Sunday was gorgeous, and we all had lunch outside in our garden. Jane and I made hummus, and ciabatta bread, a frittata and I grilled lots of halloumi!!!! :>)

I must away, as I have the urgent orders to do, before I go play detective LOL!!!!

See you later

Lots of Love

Sarah

1th July again update thingy!

I WILL NOT be taking the work laptop to the big smoke of the morrow... cos Sarah's one has just died.... :o(  - looks like a nasty hard drive failure, so she'll be having the worky one instead whilst I'll be lurky around murky cyber cafes to check emails!

Have just been busy reinstalling and backing up and reconfiguring things, just what I needed....

Anyway, Pray Now!  You cannot follow ME!  Radiation, contamination, look straight into the light; and we're getting closer and you'll turn and find new highways and all that jazz...

Michael

11th July

SO!!!!! It's the BIG day tomorrow!!!!!!

I think Michael is all but ready :>) He has his special T shirt (snigger snigger .....I'm only playing LOL!)   tickets and everything's booked, he's even got a new rucksack!!!!! LOL!!!!

He nearly had a heart attack yesterday, because the venue phoned to let him know when to collect his tickets, but he thought they were phoning to cancel the gig!!!!!!

PHEW!!!! I was told to stop sewing and everything, so he could hear the message clearly Hehehehehe!!!!!! It was like being on a knife edge I tell you!!!! A knife edge. LOL!!!!!!!

Ah dear, it's all quite exhausting really, and I'm not even going!  Mind you I will be there in spirit, just not in actuality!

But if you are going I hope you all have an excellent time, I can't see how you couldn't really..........Carl McCoy, Ville Vallo, excellent music and even a party to finish it all off with on the Sunday :>)

We're having a ridiculously stupid girly night tomorrow, and Jane has had the week from hell, so it's my job to cheer her up :>)

Michael's taking the work pute with him, so orders to the usual email thankies!

But if you want me, I'm sarah@moonmaiden-gothic-clothing.co.uk

Have a great weekend

Lots of Love

Sarah

8th July

Dum de dum de dum :>)

Now what on earth happened to last weekend ???

Where did it go ?????

I seem to be sewing a hell of  a lot  again LOL!!!!!

It's my own fault I suppose, we went up to Jane and Martyn's on Saturday and had a fab time, and then Sunday disappeared into Dragon Quest land LOL!!!!  I am a computer game saddo:>)

But it was raining, and well, you know, the PS2 was there and then before I knew it, it was dinner time.

Still, I've had a busy week so far, Mum went to see the Doctor, everything was fine, it was just about the change in her prescription timings! Loads of work, sorted out Mums cleaning yesterday morning, and I've just grabbed a bit of sunshine and mowed her little bit of grass. She was well confused just now, so I'm expecting a few calls this evening :>( It's not nice when she's like this, but the nurse might cheer her up later on!

Poor Michael is still suffering from hayfever, it seems really bad this year, as you know we've tried loads of things already, I'm afraid the nose things he had to stick up his nose not only looked hilariously funny, but they didn't really work for him either, too uncomfortable he said!  Gave me a good laugh though hehehehehehe!!!!!

Anyway today his parents turned up with this thing!!!! 'Tis a device that shines red lights up his nose, and apparently works for hayfever!!! :>)   He's used it twice today already, hasn't worked yet, but it takes a few days LOL!!!!  This also looks very funny, but if it works, it's worth a go!

He's also been given some stronger tablets from the doctor, so lets hope he's not going to be all sneezy this weekend, when he sees Fields of the Nephilim!!!!!!!  But I reckon it'll be better in London, not so much greenery around :>)

Not much else going on here, so I hope you all had a good weekend, and roll on the next one :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

3rd July

OOOOOOOOOOH, I'm angry now :>(

I am Green with it I tell you :>)

Not only is HE going to London for 2 nights, seeing FOTN both nights, and going to the party afterwards!  AND going to the RAF museum........that I won't miss LOL!!!.......But he's just told me that there are rumours that Ville Valo might be there, and that he might be singing on one of the songs :>( Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I mean what will be next ??????? I suppose Viggo Mortenson might decide to go, having grown his hair back to the length of his glorious Strider days :>)

JEEZ!!!!! When I miss out, I really miss out LOL!!!!AND he keeps telling me all the gig gossip with a smug grin on his face!!!!  Imagine I'll have to put up with this for another week and a bit yet, he will drive me nuts LOL!!!!!

I had promised to cook a special meal when he gets back, but now it's going to be bugs from the garden LOL!!!!!!!!

Anyhoo, I'm soothing my raw nerves with a chocolate feast ice cream, and it's doing the job very well!!!!!!

I've been doing a lot of day dreaming today and have decided that as well as moving to a cottage and keeping lots of animals when we leave here, and growing my own food, I'd also like to own a nice gothy gift shop in Boscastle or Tintagel  :>) Wouldn't that be nice ? I mean the sun would ALWAYS shine, and I'd only open the shop for a couple of hours a day, and everything would be perfect :>)

Ahhh, that sounds like a nice life doesn't it. But I'd really be better getting on with work, and finishing off all this weeks orders! It's already mega busy for next week, and we'd best not forget that someone is off to London next weekend!!!!

Glad you all love the new designs, I really must get back to my machines!

Lots of love

Sarah

29th June

Hello!!!!

Cor it's hot down here, but sort of nice at the same time :>)

Having got over my shock from that ghastly film last night, I have been working hard! I've just finished all the orders at last, ready to start afresh on Monday, and have got some samples ready for tomorrow, as it's going to be even sunnier! Perfect for pictures!

I've just finished cleaning everything and then I'm off to mow the lawn then onto my computer game :>) Cycling at the same time of course!!!   Mind you after all the walking we did yesterday I don't think that a sit down would hurt!

We walked to The Victory and played lots of Pool! I actually won 2 games, but I think that was because Michael had a wonky queue!!!!!!! LOL!!! I did point this out to him eventually and then he beat me for the rest of the games!!!!!! Served me right!!!!!! Nice Pub though, and very handy when you're going on a long walk, right in the middle and a lovely glass of wine :>)

I made a delicious meal last night, I grilled some halloumi, and just placed it on some salad and Michael made his yummy salad dressing and it all went together lovely!!!! :>) Really delish!!!!!  And we got lots of pressies, as our neighbours gave us some choccies, and Michael's parents gave us pressies from their holiday :>)  So we have been spoilt!

Mum's still going well with the nurses, she was a bit teasy at lunch time, but I'm sure she'll be as happy as Larry with the nurses!!!! Who's Larry ?? Hey ??????

I'm still loving BB, it really is sooooo good this year, I think we want Jen out next, or, keep her in there, and bring in a gorgeous girl for Dale and Stu to admire :>) She'd be green then LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you've all had a good weekend, and if any of you went to Glastonbury I hope none of you got punched by you know who !!! She must be crazy! :>(

oh also some more good news, we might well be in the next Fae magazine, so we'll let you know more about that when it's sorted :>)

Lots of Love

Sarah

28th June

Well, we've had a fab day, really good!!!!! But then we made the mistake of watching Pans Labyrinth ............ It looked like it was going to be a real good fantasy film, with a bit of war thrown in!  Michael really wanted to see it, I was a bit unsure, but we thought we'd give it a go. Especially as Robert had seen it, and said it was really good!!!!!!

What a pile of crap!!!!!!  I'm not having a go or nothing, but what the hell was it all supposed to mean ?

Fantasy ????? My arse!!!!!! Honestly, really,  we've seen so many zombie films and stupid ultra gory films, but this was vile. :>(

The cover makes it look all sweet, with a hint of creepiness, but the unnecessary man on man violence was repulsive and unexplained. Of course we know what happens in war, and we've watched loads of documentaries on the History channels and to be honest if we'd wanted to watch an ultra realistic war film...........actually, we bloody well wouldn't. Because we're not sick puppies!

Funnily enough we'd often wondered about Spains role during the 2nd world war, but we're no further forward really...call it a step backward if you like, because  not only do we STILL not know what went on, we now feel dirty for having seen the film, or at least the first 3/4's of it.

YES we gave up, and we'd already sort of guessed that it wasn't gonna be a feel good type of ending!!!! But it made Silent Hill look like an episode of Fraggle Rock........and that would be a really, really, really, happy episode of Fraggle Rock!!!!!.....Which of course they all were :>) LOL!!!

What was the point of the film ? It may be important to some, but what ever it was, they drowned it in bullets, blood and torture and misery :>(

The worst film I've seen since The Village ........... or perhaps it just wasn't our cup of tea ? Or cup of cyanide  ?

Strange that they made it, stranger that people liked it, but again we have to say each to their very own funny type of weird crap!!!!!

Some people even like Bames Jlunt you know !!!! Yes it's true :>O

Luckily we're now listening to good old Serj Tankian, and he's some soothing!!

So now you know........ up to you, but if you have a sensitive disposition be warned!!!!

Loads of non violent love!!!!!

Sarah and Michael

25th June

Hurrah!!! We have even more good news :>)

Michael went back to the doctor this morning and they've finally diagnosed him as iron deficient, soooooooo they have given him some tablets to boost him back up again!!!!    At last!!!!!! LOL!!! I know he already has the B12 injections, but they aren't working so I'm relieved they've finally sorted him out :>)

AND!!!!  I've come up with a cunning exercise plan!!!! I'll share it with you as you can save lots of money......ie you won't have to go buy that WII to do this LOL!!!.......... Anyway, I've started an excellent game called Dragon Quest - Journey of the cursed king......tis very, very good!!!!! And so I don't feel lazy about it I have a go on my exercise bike at the same time!!!!

What a clever girl I am LOL!!!!!!! :>)

It's a really funny game as well, they have these dancing devils which do an a sexy dance and turn around and shake their little booties at me, so I have to start dancing as well, and then can't fight LOL!!!!!

The nurses are still coming in every day and I spoke to one of them yesterday and asked how they were finding Mum, and guess what they said ?

A very happy, jolly lady !!!!!! :>0

So she must be a bit different to them than to me LOL!!!!

But seriously it really has picked her up, and she really likes the nurses, so it has improved her life a lot!  She is still very confused though, she phoned me in a panic the other night as she couldn't remember why she had a list of names. Poor thing, it'd been there for over 2 weeks, but she got in a right state about it.

So of course she still has everything she had when we started but she's a lot happier in herself which makes me happier :>)

I have a long list of new designs to do, and have made a start, but I'll probably finish them all off this Sunday.

Of course next Tuesday is the 1st of July so it's time for more new designs to go on the site! Isn't this year flying by, it'll be Christmas before we know it LOL!!!!

But worry ye not, I have already organised my studio order, and this years colour scheme is metallic purple and blue!!!!! I even got a few pressies. Aren't I organised LOL!!!!

I'd best away, lots of orders to make, and Michael has his first exam on Friday, so he's having to do lots of revision this week!   I hope he passes!!!

Have a good week,

Lots of Love

Sarah

20th June

Helllooooo, Michael here for a change!

Right then, I thought I'd just update you as to some community site profiles that we're on.  So if you're on one and want to add us, you'll know where we are... or if you like a site and fancy joining up, say hi to us! :o)

Firstly, most of you will know that we've got a Myspace page.   I suspect that most of you who read this will either be one of friends on there already; or don't like myspace as such.

In which case, we're also on Facebook! We've been there for a while now, but are still getting used to it slowly.

Or there's also Bebo which we've just signed up to... not used to that one yet at all, so if you're on there... HELP! :o)

We're also on Tribe.

Now then, on to the darker side of things.  There's also a few spooky networking sites out there - of course the best known is VampireFreaks - and guess what?  We're on there too!  So if you're a member,  feel free to add us!

A new one is the delightfully named Gothers

Now then, you may be thinking that all the above might be fun, but they don't exactly help with my Moonmaiden shopping, do they??  Well, prepare to have your every desire granted.  Well, kind of.  There are now a few shopping community sites out there, where you can create your own wishlists and shopping lists etc - making it an easy way for you to let people know what Moonmaiden goodies you'd like them to get you for Christmas, for example!

Firstly, there's StyleFeeder - where you can add us as a 'style twin! and create your own shopping lists.

Then there's Kaboodle - this isn't a MM profile as such... it's me in my buzzard altar-ego... but shall we just say that the products listed there are 100% by Moonmaiden? ;o)  it's very similar to StyleFeeder; plus you can add us as a friend on it!

Lastly (bet you thought that this was never going to end didn't you!) there's StyleHive - where not only can you do all of the above, you can also become one of our 'followers'  ...heheheheheheee!  So go own, add us and make us feel all powerful mwahahahahahahaaaa!

And after you've surfed yourself silly with that lot; now for some cute and fuzzy photos!  We saw this on the BBC this morning; two Red Panda babies in Canada who'd been rejected by their mum???!!! WHY?  We'll have them!

I took this one of a Ladybird a couple of weeks ago, just cos!  I tried a few ant ones as well, but ants don't like being photographed and refuse to stay still...

Taken on Wednesday night in our garden; one of our friendliest badgers, he let me get quite close to him... shame I didn't have a towel on me at the time as he sure needs one!

Mmmm.... me soggy.... but peanuts NICE!

That's all, folks! :o)

Michael

18th June

Hehehehehe :>)

I am SO enjoying my extra time I have now !  I have time for all sorts of things now, like relaxing, chilling, doing nothing LOL!!!!! And I'm sleeping so much better as well, perhaps because there are a lot less things to worry about, but it's all going really well.

The nurses have been brilliant. and have come every day, so I have no worries about them whatsoever! :>)   And Mum isn't really missing me, as she still sees me at least once a day, and she's not so worried about the nurses coming any more, as she forgets if they've come or not!

So all in all, a complete success :>)

We took Robert out for a meal last night, and were planning to take him to the Bluff at Hayle, but that was a bit on the family fun themed side of things for us, so we ended up a the Bucket of Blood. Sounds Goth, but it's not, just a really nice pub, and I had the best meal out I've had in ages! It was delicious and all home made! :>)  So we'll definitely be going back there.

In between working this week, I've been doing some sketches of new designs, and I've come up with some beautiful gowns! Lots of other stuff as well of course, so I shall be doing patterns as soon as I get a chance!

Summer Solstice coming up this weekend, and Jane and Martyn have kindly offered to take Mum out, so Michael and I can go for a solstice walk :>)

Oh and you know those Swan babies I told you about, I was talking to Pam and she said that they had made the headlines as they'd walked all the way up from the beach to the boating lake !!!!! I wish I'd seen that!

They were soooooo cute!!!!

Best get back to work now, and then make some dinner!

BB news, Mario and Alex hey ? What a surprise :>) I was against Alex, but I think Mario should go and take his management skills else where!!!   He is SO annoying it's cringey to watch!!!!!!!!!

See you later

Love

Sarah

14th June

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!

We took Mum out today and she actually enjoyed herself!!!!! :>)

We're all in shock now, but it was a very welcome change to her usual demeanor.  And because she was in such a jolly mood we took her to Perranporth  for a quick walk on the beach and then up to the old boating lake to see the baby swans!!!!! There were 8 of them and they were very fluffy and grey!

SO!!! Maybe, just maybe, she's decided to be a bit nicer and make a bit of an effort with me now she's not seeing me quite so often!  I have to confess that yesterday, Michael took her lunch up and I went the whole day without seeing her!!!!!   Wooo Wooo!!!! Go me !!!!!!

Last night we celebrated with Jane and Martyn as they have finally sold their house at last!  They have some lovely new bits of furniture that they've got from the house, and their place in St Austell looks really nice now :>)

I sky + BB last night so I'll watch it in a mo, Michael's told me who was kicked out and I thought that was about right, although I didn't want any of them to go really, just that nasty Alex!  I think she's horrible!

I planted a few more veggies out this afternoon, but we managed to destroy more than we planted :>)  We kept stepping on the sunflowers and runner beans!!! Whoopsie!

Not much else going on, except I have found out that I have a strange attraction towards Jerry Springer!!! It came as a bit of a shock to me as well, but there you go!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

Have a good weekend

Lots of Love

Sarah

11th June

We have progress at last!!!!! :>)

The nurses started on Monday and they are coming out at 10.15 in the morning and 7.20 in the evening! I don't know who's in more shock me or Mother LOL!!!!!

She has been acting very strangely; the mood swings have been unbelievable, and we've had emotional blackmail, tantrums, tears, overconfidence, total confusion, sulks, death wishes, and anything else that's left in between, if there is anything :>)

So I'm sort of shocked at the moment, and don't know what to expect when I take her lunch up anymore!!!!

BUT!!! Most importantly she's being really nice to the nurses, and they are doing an excellent job. I'm really pleased with them and we are so lucky to have them. For free as well!!!! So I don't think Mum could expect much more than that.

We have put a new key safe in, to keep the pills in and the nurses have a little booklet which they sign every visit, which is handy!   Especially when I ask Mum how she got on with them, and she says they haven't come, I just have a quick check and know that every thing is Ok.

I've also phoned up the attendance allowance people, to make sure that we were still entitled to it, and the guy I spoke to was so shocked, he told me that I could get another allowance!!!!!!   I was like, No, I don't want any more money I'm just checking that it's all Ok, and he was like yeah yeah, have some more LOL!!!!!!!!!!

But I'm afraid I earn too much for that !   Do you know that if you look after a relative for 35 hours a week you can get £50.00 ?   My god!  How tight is that ??????

Believe you me, looking after Mum is hard enough, but if I had to do the full time job, I'd expect a damn site more than 50 stingy quid!  The guy said I would be entitled to it because I'm on call all the time, but I think your only allowed to earn a ridiculously low amount. How do they think people cope  ? :>(

Other than that, my life is very dull, loads of work, and loads of silly TV!

I have started to watch BB this year and it's a good distraction from worrying!!! LOL!!!  I said to Michael that I wish I'd booked myself in , not to win the money or anything............you can bet your new rocks, that a Goth veggie would be out quicker than you could say "feck me, are you going to a funeral or summat?"  But it would be nice to hide away in a quiet corner for a few weeks :>)

Congratulations to Marietta and family on the birth of their new baby boy, and also Congrats to Simon and Sue on the birth of their new baby girl!!! :>)

Michael is getting very excited about seeing Fields of the Nephilim next month, as are a lot of other people :>)  He even gets to go to his first ever after-show party at the end!!!!

ROCK and ROLL!!!!!!!!

Me ? I shall be staying here with my cats!!! LOL!!!!!!!!  2 nights in London would be my idea of utter hell!!!!!!

Mind you I can't say that Mount Hawke is too dissimilar either LOL!!!!!!!!!

Now I have my evenings back I'll try and get back in the swing or my whitterings again.

Enjoy the weather but don't get all burnt, that sun is one hot beastie!!!!!

Lots of Love

Sarah

8th June

Well, that was better!  Lots more sun, and no sunburn... though it was a lot colder than it looks in the photos.

Roughtor was lovely yet again; lots of friendly sheep and the biggest caterpillar we've ever seen - about five inches long, and nearly an inch wide.  There'll be one monster of a moth coming out of that - raven sized I'd have thought!

We didn't have enough time to venture futher into the moor, and by Two in the afternoon we were staring; so we raced to Tintagel for a pub lunch, which was nice!

We then popped into King Arthur's Hall, which we'd always assumed to be really touristy and tacky - and found that it wasn't!  We were the only two people there, and had a light-show (with Robert Powell narrating) all to ourselves while sat in thrones!  Felt a bit odd at first, but we enjoyed it bigtime.  It's well worth a visit if your down this way! :o)

Anyway, enough of my gabbling - here's some photos!

Roughtor itself - it's not as close as it looks!

Some Goff bloke on top of it:

Sarah 'Skiddling' down it; (skiddling is the pricise moment when the incline of the slope is such that you begin to think that going down on your bottom would be easier (and more fun)!)

Sarah, hopefully NOT pretending to be Guinevere and wondering where that slimy Lancelot tosspot is...

worky worky tomorrow...

buhbye

Michael

3rd June

Me at last!!! I've finally found the time to do a quick whitterings !   It's not like I actually have a life or anything...LOL!!!!.......It's just been so busy with orders, and I have been trying to do ours and Mums gardens as well so it's been all go!

You know I told you that the nurse was coming out last week, well she didn't :>(   They said that Mum needed to have another assessment......that would mean the 3rd one in 8 weeks!!!!!!!    So I was well fed up, and a bit pissed off with the whole thing :>(   I was so looking forward to having my mornings and evenings back, that another disappointment was what I did not need.

But yesterday they phoned me again and the nurse is supposed to be coming out on Thursday.................and then they should start!!!!

Any more letdowns, and I think I shall have a nervous breakdown, that's if I haven't had a sneaky one already! LOL!!!

So I'm still awaiting :>)

Other than than that, just loads of work, looking after Mum, gardening and painting! We're even painting the outside of our little house-let, and Michael's doing an excellent job :>)

Mind you, Mum stayed at Jane's last Friday night so we had Saturday morning and lunch all to ourselves!!!!!! How lucky ARE we ?

So we went for a walk up to Zennor Carn, thinking that it would be a beautiful sunny day, but when we got to the top it was thick fog, and we couldn't see a thing :>)  Still a jolly nice walk though, and we came back  down a new way, which took us past Alistair Crowley's old residence!!!!!!  SPOOOOOOOOKY!!!!!!

Here's a couple of pics so you can see how thick the fog was, but it's weird 'cos when you look at some of the photos it looks sort of sunny, and Michael had a sun burnt head, so the weather was playing silly buggers LOL!!!!!! :>)

Another mad week, I'm working extra hard as we want to do Roughtor on Friday..................lots of exercise and then ruin all the good work with a pub lunch :>)..............Of course loads of Mum things to do, dentist, doctors, nurse and all the usual..........I will be so pleased if anything finally gets started by SS...........imagine, I could have a lie in.....shock horror!!!!!!!!!! Michael and I would be able to go off some where for a whole day (having left her lunch with her of course)........... but it's all a dream at the moment!

I hope you're all having a good week!

Lots of Love

 Sarah

1st June

Here they are!

Druantia Top Druantia Top again! Velvet Scarf
Lily Skirt Lily Skirt... again! Medieval Crop Top

23rd May

Hurrah!!!! Friday at last :>)   I have worked mega hard this week, and because Jane came over and spent a couple of days with mum I really cracked on and have now finished for the weekend!!!!!! I think it's the first time I've actually managed to catch up with the orders for ages :>)

I also had some good news this week from social services.  The CPN, whose a lovely lady, has finally managed to get funding for Mum to have 2 carer's to pop in everyday and give her tablets! I'm seeing one of the nurses at Mums on Tuesday morning, so let's hope it works out better than the pill dispenser!

I have to admit to having a few problems with this years Eurovision contest!   I watched last Tuesday's show, last night............ and although it was all very Euro fun, and I'm sorry that Ireland didn't get through and that they got booed!..........I'm a little concerned that if I watch last nights show before tomorrow night, I'll have seen all the acts and then that'll ruin the element of surprise and shock, that you normally have with Eurovision! :>) Confusing or what ??????

They've really messed around with it, all because some countries didn't get in last year, but it's not the same!!!!!  And anyway, we always get crappy scores but we keep going, so I don't think they should be such sore losers LOL!!!!!!! So far my favourite is Finland and Russia!   Don't ask me why!  An awful lot of the songs that did get through last Tuesday were very predictable and some of them were really quite dull!  There was another song with an angel and a devil, I quite liked that one, but we do not stand a chance in hell of winning. I expect we'll be bottom again, but I don't like our song :>(   I think it's totally yukkers !

Anyway no doubt it'll get more exciting tomorrow night with good old Terry doing his thing!

Oh and we got Michael's test results, he's still very anemic, despite of his B12 injections so we have to get lots of iron tablets for him, and then he has to go back in a month to see if that works!

Here's a picture I thought I'd share with you.  Rob from the band Clusterluck on Myspace did it for me and I think it's pretty good! Very sweet of him :>)

And an extra piccie for you, we took this for Weredith really as we know that she's growing her own mandrake but isn't he a scary chappie!!! We took the picture at the witches museum, a fascinating place :>)

Anyway I'm looking forward to a nice, long weekend, and am feeling a lot more optimistic about the help for Mum now :>)        If it's nice I'll do some gardening but if it's horrible I have lots of painting to do so I won't be bored!

I've already prepared dinner for tonight......Quorn and mushrooms in red wine sauce, with tiny roasties and salad.... yummy!!!!!!............. and we're having a Euro BBQ tomorrow night :>)

I'm off up to Mums in a minute, and then the weekend begins!!!!!!:>) I hope you all have a good weekend! :>)

Lots and lots of Love

Sarah

18th May

Hey, where have you been?!!  hahahahahaaa!

I didn't realise that it had been so long since I'd done one of these, but I've been a busy girl!  We've had Michael's birthday, Michael being poorly, and mother coming up with new ideas daily on how to make my life a misery...

I think I mentioned that things were supposed to be getting easier, didn't I?  Well, not so!  Mother has now decided that the pivotal dispenser doesn't work properly... which, of course, it does.... and when I tell her this, she then tells me that she does not know how to use it.  She also refused to eat any of the meals I'd bought in for her, and she threw them all in the bin :o(

So I'm back to visiting her three times a day again, and cooking all her meals.  I knew progress would be slow, but I didn't think it was going to go backwards.

We took her to the specialist last Thursday, and that didn't go very well at all - so I must try and be patient with her; as although a lot of it is her stubbornness, it's also down to her illness.

Boscastle was fantastic as usual; the hotel was brilliant and the witchcraft museum was brilliant; even though Michael was poorly he managed to enjoy his birthday.

We've also had a poorly Vlad, but he's recovered nicely.  For a while we thought he was on his last legs - we took him to the vets and they said that he didn't have long left, but he's still okay at the moment.  We went to a new vets with him, and they were very good, so I think we'll probably take our cats back there when we need to go again.

Poor Michael is having more blood tests done to find out what's wrong with him (even though we think we know what it is) but you can't tell the doctors, can you???....

Very very busy here workwise, hence the fact that I've not done a whisperings for a while - but what with a poorly Michael and a very confused mother, this is the first chance I've had in a couple of weeks.

Even now I'm cheating, cos I'm actually working while Michael types this for me!

Don't forget that it's Eurovision this week - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - I'm going to 'sky-plus' it all, so I can watch it all on
