This is our utterly beautiful new BELTANE MAIDEN TOP - and we think it's possibly the bestest top we've ever made!
The pictures can say it better than we can, but there's a LOT going on on this top!
The gently plunging centre panel of the bodice is made from contrasting velvet, overlaid with shimmering spiderweb lace. The side panels of the front are made from Black crushed velvet; but also at the sides are lace inserts that start at a point under the arm and flare out to the hem (see the photo on page 2 for a better view!). The back is made from Black Crushed Velvet.
Oh, and then there's the sleeves! They're made of leg'o'veggie-mutton upper sleeves (shown here in Forest Green Velvet), and then the maiden cuffs are fully lined with scrummy satin!
