Though not in the slightest bit Goth, Billy Bragg is nonetheless proof that intelligent lyric writers do exist in Britain, and he's written some of the finest political songs in recent times.
A massive influence on many Goth bands. Their songs varied from Jangly Beatles-esque beauty, to full-on Goth Rock - listen to "Soul in Isolation" and try and disagree! Though they've now sadly split (again), every one of their albums needs to be owned. Some of the best guitar work ever heard.

The Faces of Sarah have recently released their brilliant "Impurity" CD/DVD, sealing their place as one of Britains best bands at the moment.. .AND there's a new album to look forward to this year!!!

Whilst in no way a Goth band, (we at Moonmaiden Mansions are allowed to listen to other stuff you know!) Mostly Autumn are a stunning mix of Prog rock, celtic folk, epic soundscapes and sparkling guitars - wonderful!

What's gone wrong with the world? A British band (from up 't road in Devon!) that are popular, sell loads of records, and are liked by the music press, AND who happen to be brilliant? Lawks! They used to named Gothic Plague, which probably explains why they weren't popular then, and also why I like them! :o)
The Nephilim have returned. Mourning Sun is one of my favourite albums ever; and I was at the 24th Moment... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

We've not linked to the official Sisters site (we don't want to be sued in case you-know-who doesn't want to be associated with a gothic clothing site! :o) Instead, this is a great Sisters community board.
I'm so excited!! I had a real TFF Birthday last year with loads of CDs and Videos!! So it's good to know that they're working on a new Album!! The Hurting still sounds fresh and sparkly every time I hear it! So check out this site for all their news!!!
"Lateralus" was, of course, the best album of all time. Their others are pretty damned good too!
